@joemiller9522 specifically this has to do with the strings catching on the nut when you tune down, which can give you a false impression that they're tuned properly but start playing and they'll slip into place and your tuning is lost. There could be more to it to do with tension mechanics but that's one reason I can remember right now.
It takes Tyler twice as long to walk anywhere as most people, because he walks to an area, sets a camera up, then goes back and walks past it, and then goes back to get the camera, rinse and repeat. So worth the effort!
Dude what you’ve chosen to do with your platform and success is incredible and inspiring. Thanks for everything you do man. You deserve every ounce of success in the world.

Such an amazing video! The scenes at the beginning, your great playing, meeting the band, cool shop and you go home with a great guitar. Perfect day! Thanks for sharing it with us!
I picked up a Junior a while back and it instantly became my #1 for gigging. So simple with excellent lead tones and works great for rhythm when you roll the tone off a bit.
I have 3 juniors and a les pul with p90s aswell. Pretty nice guitars . I’m sliding back to humbuckers now though, for recording I kinda prefer the humbuckers sometimes. But p90s have better clarity overall usually. Though the Gibson classic 57 pickups Iv noticed sound p90 ish and fairly midrangey and flat
Great to see you in my neck of the woods. I'm just a few miles south of the store. I agree, that the LP Jr. did have the best sound of everything you demo'd in the store. Kudos to you for plugging the young'uns too! (I'm 63, so you're all young'uns to me. LOL!) Getting recognition is so hard these days, regardless of talent.👍👍👍 Hope you enjoy the hell out of that guitar!
oh wow i live 20 minute walk from that store. i bought my epiphone les paul there last month.. i just turned 50 .. your videos inspired me to play.. so i got the best one i can afford and i love it. you are a great teacher .thanks for all your hard work
I love the Ultra Tele. I had the Texas Tea version, but it was stolen. I've been wanting to replace it with the all white for a while, and finally went to do so yesterday. Of course, a Sherwood green Strat with all-rosewood neck caught my eye, though, so I had to go with that. Next time. The Gretsch T500 and LP Junior you played sounded amazing, too!
If i could choose one RUclips channel to post more vídeos a weak, i would be yours. Your content is the absolute best, it inspires me so much. Thank you!
Is that Mr. Music?? I haven't been there since I moved from Brighton. There's always at least one killer item for everyone there, you just gotta sift through for it.
I loved the travel montage at the beginning. I've never seen Boston. I was so surprised to see how much it looked like Melbourne, Australia, even down to the trams.
ohh loving memories of boston and my berklee days more than 20 years ago. Cambridge music store right down the corner allways had great used guitars. I wonder if still there.
I played a Gretsch once and it was so dull and lifeless I must have picked up a weird model or lemon. Iv heard a few that sound decent online. But I was so turned off I never bothered with that brand again lol
bought my first three singlecoil guitar the other day, normally I have humbuckers. some are HSS. It is a partscaster. It was a steal. walked away grinning.
yo man i love ur vids so much and im trying to get a normal electric guitar to continue my guitar dream and ur vids inspire me to keep going with that dream and i just wanna say thx man
Dude I live near Boston and I was actually eyeing that exact LP Jr for a while because it just looked awesome, and recently noticed it wasn't on their site anymore. You stole my guitar! 😆
Tyler I have a challenge for you. Common theme across music CCs atm is learning polyphia riffs. Fully aware people will get sick of the repetition HOWEVER… I would like to see you learn the opening riff to Nasty. I just don’t understand how Tim gets the sounds that he does.
I just went to Boston a few weeks ago for a school thing and at quincy market there were some amazing musicians including my boi B.Swan (Black Swan) he freestyled about our whole class he was crazy.
@XOTeIegmMusic_IsWin-ew4mm I appreciate that Brother. I sent you a message. If this your first trip to Beantown there is a lot to see and do. Lots of history and great restaurants here. If you’re looking for any recommendations let me know.
You really should take a look at Céleste guitars ! Those are french made guitars. I think the first one came out last year, it's the Céleste MCI. Looks really nice et sounds so good ! really versatile too. It's made by the french youtuber Florent Garcia in collaboration with a talented luthier
I love my Squire Affinity Tele. The only significant sacrifice is that the pickups aren’t super clear, though they sound nice. The Chinese poplar body is a little softer than alder, so it dings up easily, but it’s pretty and the finish is well done. Also, I guess they save money by not doing much finishing on the neck. It still feels good in the hand, it’s just a raw wood feel rather than gloss or satin.
Hey mate, I'm an Australian and been following you're channel for quite a while, been an average guitarist for some 30 years and recently suffered a horrible injury to my left(fretting)hand where I've lost the last knuckle of my ring finger, wondering if you know of any other prosthetic for guitarist's other than Galaxy guitars in the states?
I like walking into guitar stores and giving off the impression I actually can afford a specific guitar, but just don’t want it, when I actually really want it but can’t afford it. We need to cross paths in a guitar store Tyler
Hey Tyler! Have you ever thought of buying a Strat with a humbucker in the middle? The only one I ever saw in a video was in the hands of David Knopfler in 1979 when he was in Dire Straits
Which guitar would you have picked? Did I make a good choice?
Yup, I’d have picked that one too. Been looking for a P90 guitar for a while. 🤘🏼👍🏼
I would have picked either that or the Melody Maker hanging up.
It is a good guitar, but in the end, it’s YOUR opinion and your opinion only that matters in the end.🫡🎸
the ukulele lol
If money wasn’t a factor, I’d be all over the Gretsch. Need a semi-hollow guitar.
I love pulling down guitars and tuning them up, it tells you half what you need to know before you play a a chord.
As soon as you play them acoustic you can tell!
A lesson I constantly remember my guitar teacher telling me...always tune up before playing or jamming
wait why?
@@joemiller9522 you get a more accurate in tune note when u tune up instead of down. so if you’re sharp, down tune, then tune up.

At least the mall music he puts over the top is trash

If your were going for an eighties music video vibe on the intro then you nailed it. Mating season move was hilarious!
Intro gives me mad Ferris Bulers Day off walking-through-the-museum--vibes
Super cool store and awesome peeps to chat with. Like the culture immersion type video.
Love seeing and hearing the Gretsch guitars. The sound of a Gretsch hollowbody is really not like any other sound out there.
That Chet was the nicest guitar in there. It's a dream guitar i wish i could own.

Great intro track, reminds me of The Mighty Way - Come back
Good job on plugging that band🎉
As soon as you picked up the Junior I knew. Awesome guitars. Great price too
I LOVE Les Paul Juniors. I have a couple of original '50s ones and a reissue.
Never been this early..3 views..Tyler..i bought a prs s2 singlecut..all because i started watching u 6 years ago..and always wanted one!
The Gretsch sounded way meaner than I expected, but I thiink you picked the right guitar. That single PUP Gibson had all the crunchy goodness!
Now if only I had the budget to have this kind of shopping trip.
That Gretsch must be rare! Only Gretsch Ive seen with a Guild headstock and tremolo.
Miss Boston, one of my favourite city😄
Cool part about that intro is you could walk to every spot in about 3-4 hours and take the T back to where you started.

Jerry Raney of the Beat Farmers plays a Les Paul Jr. and rocks the heck out of it.

i really like how it sounds
“Big Deck Energy” in the intro 😂
Best shop on east coast for sure
What’s the hop? I just have missed it. 900 for a junior is cheap.
You can Visit Joe Stump in Boston 🤘🤘🤘
I like that one because it's like an SD in a Paul Gibson format
Excellent John Hughes vibes on the intro! 😂
Crazy how similar the Jeff beck strat and Squier sounded. Yeah the Squier was a little muffled but close
i wasnt paying attention and didnt realise he changed guitars.
Yeah, I wasn't looking at first and thought he turned the tone knob a bit.
Just goes to show it’s the pick ups and the pick ups only that determine the quality of the tone. Sustain is affected by the wood type, though.
