@@GamerSlayer5000dude, the butterfly effect is very real. some of these guys are going to give up playing the guitar after a month, but i bet this moment is going to be the reason one of these guys becomes a famous musician in the future

That's what exactly what I was thinking haha most of the reactions seemed like they're used to get guitars gifted to them all the time
Probably just shock. This doesn't normally happen. So nice it did though
I think it is a combination of things. Shock, since this is not a normal thing, and possibly insecurity about being ''loud'' in public or simply showing emotion. A lot of people, when in public, are intentionally reserved to not draw attention they aren't currently seeking. i like to think on the INSIDE these people were screaming.
Music people sometimes aren't great at talking. We speak through our instruments

To be honest, squiers are actually pretty good nowadays (excluding the bullet series)
Squier were pretty good when I started playing 27 years ago as long as you didn't buy the Chinese ones and started with the South Korean ones. I still have mine.
Honestly, Squiers are damn good. I was a little disappointed when my BIL plugged his Squier Strat into my stack and it sounded nearly identical to my American Standard Strat. The only real difference was mine did feel a bit better, but honestly it wasn't around $1K worth of an improvement
I did say knock off squires. I think squire is a hell of a deal. Most of em just need some new pick ups, and maybe some attention to the neck, but if your good with sandpaper and can switch out pickups, then they'll play like a 2000$ guitar. I'm nota snob, I'm just surprised at how nice the guitars he was giving away were.

That last guy is a legend. Grabs his phone after finding out he won a guitar, does he phone relative/ friend? No. Does he take a selfie? No. He brings up a tuner app and starts tuning! 😂

I think some people are just kind of in shock, no one was expecting it and then to have cameras in your face too kind of surprises you. I ended up talking to almost all these guys after the fact with no cameras and they were all beyond excited and grateful when it set in.
Most of them were really young and they don’t have the full range of human emotions yet. Bet they learned a couple very quickly when they got their prizes!
I work at a long and mcquade and there’s no better feeling then getting to be the person who someone trusts as the information guy for their first guitar. I can’t imagine how nice it would be to be able to just give people guitars. Merry Christmas Sammy G

Videos like these are my dream goals, to just be able to walk into any music store and just bless the young players and bless the people who want to learn guitar but can't afford it.
Legit nothing makes me happier then knowing I have helped someone start a creative journey and all creative journeys end with more positive then if you never started that creative journey in the first place.

Man, those were some GORGEOUS guitars given away. I hope at least most of those just found a life long home with someone who will wear the necks down to toothpicks playing them for so many years. That last player Tele was honestly my favorite. I'm partial to green and that shade was damn good looking.

I love how some youtube channels are all about how many guitars can a person have and why you NEED a new and different guitar, when in reality one nice guitar would be a dream come true for alot of people.... The irony that he played a White Stripes song and the Danelectro is way more something Jack White would play than the V. He might not even know what a Danelectro is. I’d like to think he was just camera shy but it seems more likely he and his dad traded it for the V as soon as Sammy left.

I'm a bass player who gave up playing due to issues, and became quite depressed, until my friend told me he had something in his car and pulled out a fender precision. Words couldn't describe how happy i was

Thank you for doing this. I tried to buy a kid a guitar in GC yesterday. He was playing a few chords, and told me he didn't have a guitar yet. He was playing a inexpensive Kramer. I told him I'd buy it for him if his dad was cool with it. His father responded with "We don't need the charity, We're not broke" My response was that I just wanted to do something nice to spread some holiday cheer. He gave me a dirty look, walked off and worst of all, the kid was disapointed. So, I bought two guitars and amps and found some music teachers today that needed the instruments for their students. Days like that it's almost hard to have faith in humanity.

As an older player who's seen and done a lot of things, this is just the coolest! You ain't just making one person happy. You brought joy to that music store thats probably never been felt like that. It's the middle of the summer in steamy Fla. I loved the last two dudes ! The one with the Epi 61 SG was what I was waiting for, such great emotion and the "hug" ! Man, someone willing to give me a free guitar, (and a nice one at that) they are getting a major squeezy from me, instantly ! The last guy that said he was going to cry was awesome. I get it ! A total stranger (well sort of, heeee) giving you such an amazing gift, with "no" strings attached (pun intended) is something to get emotional about. I teared up... The world needs to have more of this kind of warmth among humans. It helps our future, if ya want one. Merry Christmas to ya from the summertime.
