Never gets old..thank you for showing us these collections of who and what Glasgow was and is today...Been in Canada since 1978...and these pictures keep me close to the city that never ceases to redefine itself....
Just been looking on the Daily Record website. They did a follow-up in 2022. Shirley was 60 years old (looking closer to 40), married, living in Italy and running a charity for children in Nepal. She said that photo changed her life and resulted in modelling jobs that took her round the world. Fair play to her.
I still have bad dreams about these old tenements with the broken windows I believed Witches lived in them. When the dreams wake me up I have to get up and check there is no one in my home.
Brilliant photo’s of our dear city. Oh how times have changed. (And not all for the better)
Thank you...I agree...sadly, human behaviour hasn't improved.
Once again beautiful photos of Glasgow that catches the moment in time.
Thank you for your work.
Thank you.

Thank you...Old Glasgow takes some beating.
Once again, an amazing set of photos. I remember the old departure boards at Central Station. Thanks for all your hard work.
@@daveysmith7580 Thanks again.
My dad worked in the evening citizen for a wee while, he kept a copy of the last edition. After he past away I found it & now I’m keeping it for him.
My dad liked the Citizen...end of an era when it ended.
Thank you again Colin, please keep them coming. I think nurse Shirley Lawson is my kind of girl. Good on her. The "Football Dreams" photo is a belter.
Thank you...Shirley's photo made the front pages at the time.

Bridge of memories.
I remember the John and Jacqueline picture from the school disco's at the Plaza. I was there, as Holyrood secondary we're all about the school disco .
Dancing days.

Nightmares are just dreams with an attitude problem.
People took pride in there surroundings of not much
They had less...but they cared more.
