How do you know which direction the cable should attach? Ie. Should the writing on the connector be up or down?

To those who were swapping the motherboard but had to watch this video to figure out where they went, always check your manual. Number one tip for new builders there
100% agreed, but sadly its one of the most overlooked things and no mater how many times you say that, they won't look but I am always here to help when they have issues or questions.

This is not a joke, My daughter and I finished our first build together. No more than a minute or two this short popped up. I walked over, unplugged them all, and plugged them all back in properly. I have an Asus z87-K motherboard inside a Montech XR case. The front end power cable from the case looks entirely different than what’s on the motherboard. What can I do here? Informative video by the way!

@@ThisBytesForYou Correct, this was my exact dilemma. Have the same F_Panel cord you have in the video as well with the same pin configuration on your motherboard. Was curious where exactly you had the cord plugged in at on the front end panel pins.

What helps me now, is I take a pic with my cell phone then I zoom in.

case

7. Do you have ALL of the PCIE connections plugged in, and not daisy chained or pigtailed, each coming directly from the power supply?
8. Are you running through HDMI, DP, DVI, VGA, any adapters?
9. What slots do you have your RAM installed in?

My case has a LED switch, Where should i plug it? can i plug into my pwr_led socket?

Mine didn't come with a reset cable or speaker as far as I see. I have a ASRock b650m pro rs wifi mobo and a Apevia prism case.
Though the case did come with a power led - and +, a power line and the hdd line and that's all.
Also still not sure if I plugged in everything correctly still need to find a video for that all of it is just confusing for me!

Also people I just built my first rig with zero know how. Most of these videos don’t go too far into detail. Most of your stuff should have a manual. Open them up and use them. Saves a ton of time and confusion.

You're right,yours does not because it's a pre built, this is for custom built PCs. If you go to dells support site, enter your service code, there will be a section there where you can find documentation for your system and it will be in there, I believe called repair guides. The other thing you could do is just try one way, if it doesnt work, try the other, there's nothing there that will harm your pc.
