    When the rubber bands are going to be boosted, you have to first remove the end that covers them because otherwise it won't let them expand, that's why it hasn't bent much, the sheet glued on the rubber generates the opposite tension to that of the Booster

      Yes, I think it's worth trying the D09c with the booster. For me it was about 4 to 5 weeks and then I started to feel the decrease in the effect of the booster.

      okay i see, and does the rubber stay a bit softer after the booster effect decrease, or does it come back to normal ?
      i'm just kinda worried of the booster affecting the durability of the rubber, like it will make it better than normal, but for a way shorter time compared to if i didn't boost it if u see what i mean

    • @DarioGrd
      @DarioGrd  11 месяцев назад +1

      @@lukesplayground5864 It all depends on how much booster you put, if you don't overdo it you shouldn't have any problems with durability, just like with getting back to normal. Although, some booster will always remain in the sponge and it will be difficult to return the rubber to the same condition as it was before boosting.

    Pozdrav,pretpostavljam da je to Provincial verzija DHS Hurricanea 3 Neo,bilo bi fora da napraviš nekakvu realnu usporedbu s obicnom verzijom,još
    da je u kombinaciji i Friendship battle 2 provincial blue sponge bilo bi stvarno vrh😀

      Pozdrav. Da, provincial verzija je ovo u videu. U planu mi je usporedba sve tri verzije (commercial, provincial, national), a vjerojatno kasnije i s nekom od friendship guma. Trenutno testiram dvije iste gume H3 Neo Provincial BS 40 stupnjeva, ali s dva različita boostera. Tako da vidim koji booster najbolje odradi posao :)

    In your opinion is it better to boost dhs h3 neo with 2 layers or 3 layers?

    • @DarioGrd
      @DarioGrd  Год назад

      This is quite individual and also depends on the hardness of the H3 sponge. I put 2 layers of booster and 2 layers of glue on 40 degrees H3 Neo BS.

    I stopped playing in 2010 shortly after the speed glue ban, started playing again a few months ago. I am surprised to see so many recent videos about boosting on RUclips, I know it is banned but then why still boost? Is it undetectable?

    • @DarioGrd
      @DarioGrd  Год назад

      As far as I know, any rubber boosting outside the factory that produced the rubber is not allowed. Since most rubbers are boosted at the factory, it is difficult to prove whether the boosting was done at the factory or by the player himself. Also, most pros boost rubbers and some players significantly, and their rackets pass ITTF checks at tournaments, so it's obviously hard to detect.

    • @DarioGrd
      @DarioGrd  2 года назад

      The booster is hard to remove because is absorbed into the sponge, but if you meant old glue, I would remove the old glue before applying the booster.

    Why useed teh booster,,.,hard to be soft sponge ?

    • @DarioGrd
      @DarioGrd  5 месяцев назад

      At the moment I use the booster only on hard Chinese rubbers, it gives better elasticity, more spin, control and in general it is easier to play with Chinese rubber after boosting. For tensor and hybrid rubbers, it doesn't make sense for me to use a booster.

    Molim tvoje mišljenje,razlike između tuniranog dignica i bez tuniranja, (brzina,spin), i pitanje ,kak ti čistiš gornji sloj dignica, čuo sam da nije pametno previše puta čistiti s nekim (combi cleaner-om) da se ne uništi taj sloj. Molim info...hvala

      Za sad sam odradio samo jedan trening s tuniranim dignicsom i ono što mogu reći na temelju toga da je brži i aktivniji, a kod spina nisam osjetio neku razliku. Također zvuk prilikom udarca je malo drugačiji :) Što se tiče čišćenja, svaku gumu pa tako i dignics očistim s cleanerom poslije treninga/meča i zalijepim na topsheet foliju.

    Thanks for this video !
    I was looking for a tutorial for almost this exact setup for a while :)
    I have some questions:
    1) Would you change anything if it was the Hurricane national 3 and not neo? Any benefits of using the neo over the national except for cost? (I'm looking for best results to get with Hurricane and I don't care much about the cost)
    I did some reading online and understood that with boosting the Hurricane national 3 should give the best result so I am interested on your opinion on this.
    2) Regarding first layer of glue before the booster (3:10)
    You said putting glue first is good so the rubber will bend less but on the other side putting the booster directly makes it affect the sponge more.
    If I'm looking for the best result I should try without adding the glue before booster? Is there any other plus to adding the glue before the booster except for ease of gluing it later?
    Also doesn't adding that layer of glue initially adds more weight (which I think is bad result, also 197g for your entire racket sounds pretty heavy to me so wondering if that isn't a problem)
    Thanks for you time !

    • @DarioGrd
      @DarioGrd  2 года назад +1

      Hi.
      1) There is also a neo version national. So Hurricane 3 has commercial, provincial and national versions. All these versions exist with orange and blue sponge, and on top of all that, there are also neo versions of each combination. So there are a lot of combinations, especially when each of those combinations can come with a different sponge hardness. As for the non-neo version and if it is the same hardness, I would add just one more layer of booster. But I will also put three layers of booster on this my neo version when the rubber is not new and needs to be tuned again. The national version is certainly better than the provincial one. But the tuning process depends on the hardness of the rubber sponge you bought, but also on personal preferences and the way you play.
      2) That's right, every added layer of glue or booster adds extra weight. Of course, you can put it directly on the sponge without glue before, but then the rubber can often bend very much and if you have time, for example, wait a week to glue it to the blade, ok. It should be taken into account that some players tune rubbers every 2-3 weeks, so if the process takes a week each time, then this is a problem. You can try for yourself what the difference is with and without the first layer of glue, and see what it brings to you.
      What I would like to state. I used the booster I had at home, but for the Hurricane I would definitely recommend the Haifu Sea Moon Booster. I ordered the National Yellow version of their booster for myself and I'm waiting for it to arrive. While for ESN and Butterfly rubbers Falco Tempo Long Booster is good.

      @@DarioGrd Thanks for your answers !
      Regarding the second answer,
      do you really think it will take more than 12 hours for one layer of falco long to dry? (I'm from Israel and it's pretty hot here)
      My plan was to put a layer in the morning and then glue it after 12~ hours when it's dry, can the rubber still bend after the booster is dry?
      Also why do you think the sea moon booster will be better? From what I found online it seems that booster needs more layers to be effective which is kind of of problematic for me (I want to finish the entire process in 1 day in like 14 hours total). Also doesn't the falco temp effect is longer for the rubber? I don't want to reboost (I plan to just switch rubbers every 1.5-2 months)

    • @DarioGrd
      @DarioGrd  2 года назад +1

      For the first layer, if it is not applied too thick, 12 hours is certainly enough, but for the second layer, 12 hours will hardly be enough. So I would count 36 hours for 2 layers.
      I will definitely do a test and compare two identical H3 rubbers, one tuned with Falco Tempo Long Booster and the other with Haifu Sea Moon, then I will be smarter, but according to what I found for the H3, everyone says that the Haifu Sea Moon is better and all Chinese national players use it.

      interesting question... I assume that it would have a good effect on the rubber because these are rubbers from the era of speed glue, and that glue had something similar to today's boosters in it.

    Depends on the whether too. If its cold booster effect dies within few days. Summer time its best to apply. I use paraffin and baby oil both. Both responded good with better effect with paraffin oil.
    3 layers in summer effect last 1 month.
    I live in canada by the way so cold
