    I do not see why booster isn't allowed to be done by the player, but is by manufacturing companies. Dumb rule

    Hello friend, I've been watching all your videos for several days, very interesting, you talk about rubbers, blades, protection, I have some questions and I wanted to know if you could help me, my name is Marc, I've been playing table tennis for a short time, I wanted to ask you which blade for me Do you advise, for me and what rubbers and what thickness, to be able to improve my blows, now I bought a simple Joola carbon shovel for 20 eur, how could I improve? Some balls go out of my way, I still know that I have to improve my technique, but if you could advise me a little, thank you, greetings!

    Is it okay if I don’t I use the booster if I have DHS hurricane 3?

    • @alva1018
      @alva1018 9 месяцев назад +1

      In that case, I would not recommend use dhs hurrican 3 normal version, cause it uses high density form which is specifically designed for solvent-based glue, which can evaporate to the form, expand it to make it softer. Now comes to the era of water-based glue, which cannot expand the form, that's why the booster is used. To be clear, the booster is basically oil that can effect with rubber and make it expanding and softer, booster contains almost none VOCs and is not harmful to health or environment. So if you don't want to use the booster, ( it's time consuming applying it and can only last for 3 months max) I'd recommend Neo version hurricane 3, or other rubber that the form is naturally softer and contains little bubbles that is designed for water based glue (we call it cake form).

    • @alva1018
      @alva1018 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@huh1321 solvent based glue means using volatile organic compounds (VOCs) to dissolve rubber as adhesive, usually contains benzene or toluene, which can evaporate and is toxic. ITTF banned this type of glue by testing the VOCs since 2021. Then the water based glue is an alternative, which using water as carrier fluid and is environmentally friendly and less harmful to health, because it doesn't release VOCs.

    How many times can hurricane 3 be boosted before it is ineffective?

    • @aimbot0x01
      @aimbot0x01 Год назад

      in my experience, every time you boost, the rubber expands in dimension, so you have to cut it to fit the blade. And after a month or so, the booster is evaporated, and the rubber shrinks, but not to the original size, so after boosting again it become bigger than the blade again. I think this means the booster is making the sponge less and less dense. After 2 or 3 times I tend to buy a new rubber.

    • @aimbot0x01
      @aimbot0x01 Год назад

      I think maybe when the booster is gone the rubber glued to the blade cannot shrink freely, so it got effectively stretched, like when you stretch a spring to a limit it cannot recover to the original size

    Which shows that the players using DHS rubbers are cheaters right from the beginning of the speed glue ban. That's not a secret. Timo Boll reported some years ago that he handed his racket to one (no names ;)) Chinese top ranked players to test and this player topspinned the ball to the not even into the net. So you can imagine how boosted the DHS rubbers for the Chinese factory players are...

      Without booster and/or speed glue, the extremely hard sponge Chinese rubbers are just dead feeling and heavy. When boosted, they play very well. At the same level as very expensive Butterfly rubbers.

    The cheaters that use to speed glue are now boosting. Should be outlawed. Time to stop blaming your rubber and be serious about training. Doesn't this boosting chemical fail the VOC tests that speed glue use to fail? I guess if one isn't sponsored the cost of buying new rubber has to weighed against boosting your old sheets.
