    There were so many things on this video that German player Dimitrij Ovtcharov said not to do,I actually lost count. One of many examples. “do not use a hair dryer to speed up the drying time as this can cause air bubbles to form on the glued surface.” Makes sense to me.

    • @billbob7986
      @billbob7986 Год назад

      This only applies to tensor rubbers, as heat can affect the tension within for the sponge. However, within Chinese rubbers, the sponge is very dead and hard thus why people can hairdry the Chinese rubber. Why do you think they don’t hairdry when they are boosting the rubber

    is the 50ml bottle enough for glueing 3 times each side + racket?

  • @RogerThat1945
    @RogerThat1945 Год назад +5

    Do the Chinese players spray varnish on their bats & leave them to dry for a few hours first (then they first get the bats); long before gluing the rubbers on? Some people also/alternatively use strong hairspray as a pre-coating (this helps stop bat splinters being ripped off when you change the rubbers).

      @@bryancrawford8659 In 7 years of using this method I have encountered the problem you describe exactly zero times. I do however get nice clean edges that don't tear or bind on the cutting edge. Its actually very simple, don't spray the rubber like its a window, only a few drop on the blade of the scissors or blade. Soapy water will also work. It is actually a tip from a tt distributor.

    I thought Haifu glue was the best and then DHS's. I've heard of Chinese players using Nittaku glue before. Which one should I take now, Butterfly Free Chack Pro II? XD The Stiga Attach Powerglue should be the same as the Nittaku Finezip should be the same glue.

      Dude I don’t know how to translate,they are different glues!
      Haifu is famous for its organic glues(those transparent glues like oil,they are boost themselves),you never use it if you don’t have a Chinese rubber.
      for inorganic glues(those common white glues),DHS'No15 glue would be great

      I do not remove old glue from the rubber for second gluing, because I'm lazy, and want to prevent sponge damadging. I just add one new layer on the sponge. For third regluing i prefer to remove the old glue, because glue layer is too thick and rubber is noticable heavier.

    I think paddle glue is a rip off. Why can't they just add the glue to the rubber in this day and age and don't tell me we don't have the technology to do this. We have double sided tape. Just give me some large double sided silicone tape and make it a 50 feet roll please :)

      might be a ripoff, but double sided tapes are muting the feeling (you can buy such sheets) and the glue has to be removeable without damaging the rubber/wood.
