  • Don't miss a tour of this inspiring public Labyrinth garden. You can't help but be charmed by the delightful parade of perennials, grasses, herbs and annuals, all combined masterfully, in this stunning Zone 5 garden. In addition to being decorative, the Labyrinth also provides an opportunity for people to slow down, relax, and enjoy the beauty surrounding them as they walk the path to the center and back.
    It's almost impossible to walk away without feeling refreshed and filled with ideas for new plants to try in your own garden!
    For Daylily fans, the garden is also an American Hemerocallis (Daylily) Society display garden!
    Many Thanks to:
    -Our garden hosts, Barb Robertson, Jodi Brown and Cathy Barbercheck, and all of the volunteers who make the Labyrinth Garden possible
    - Linda Gauger for videography assistance
    - The Labyrinth Garden Project for supplying the drone photos

I'm trying to decide what to do with my new garden, or lack of. I did film a final garden tour that I have yet to piece together in a video. Stay tuned.....

I plan on doing one final video of our previous garden, which I filmed shortly before we moved. Then, I plan on doing videos of building a new garden at our new house. Hi Roseanne! You always provide such interesting information, and I love how you embrace the practical, visual, and spiritual aspects of gardens. Great point about the difference between a labyrinth and a maze. That's a terrific garden!! I love the dragonfly sculpture. My Southern California rose garden (with the tall 'fence post' cactus in the middle) is going great guns with the crazy rain we've had after years of drought. There are videos online of the wildflower "Superblooms" in California and Arizona this year. It's amazing to see the colors across the desert landscapes and hillsides; the areas are so large they can be seen from space! I too have a popcorn plant, but here it's a perennial, like many plants from South Africa, South America, and Australia. I first saw one outside a pottery shop in Solana Beach; it was 12 feet tall! I look forward to seeing your bunnies and woodland garden again soon! :)

      @RosannesGarden  Год назад +1

      Greetings! It's always nice to hear that my "brand" of gardening and videos resonates with fellow gardeners. Practical, visual and spiritual is such a nice way to describe what gardening can be. While there's a lot of emphasis on growing vegetable gardens, or food for the body, I believe beautiful, peaceful, fragrant gardens are food for the soul 🌹. Crazy about a 12 foot popcorn plant! A large cactus surrounded by roses sounds stunning! Talk about a focal point! While I've visited public gardens in CA (Huntington is my favorite), it's hard for me to imagine such a private garden. Thanks fore the tip - I will check out videos for the "superblooms". I'm so happy to hear that things are blooming again in Southern CA!

    • @SpanishEclectic

      @@RosannesGarden Oh! The Huntington is fabulous! So glad you got to see it. They have expanded the gardens so much. I first went there on a field trip in High School. The library had three (!!) original "elephant" folios of Audubon's Birds of North America on display at the time. Just amazing to see! My dad told me he attended a formal dance there back in the early 1950s, when he was at UCLA.

    Hello Roseanne, greetings from Massachusetts, I have a question :I know you grow Calla lilies outdoors also and that’s how I got started watching your videos and this year I planted some in the ground and some in pots and none of them bloomed, any idea why?

    • @RosannesGarden
      @RosannesGarden  8 месяцев назад

      Sorry to hear about your Cala lilies. They are so beautiful when they bloom.
      Without more information, it’s a bit difficult to determine why yours haven’t bloomed. My first thought is the quality of the bulbs. Have they bloomed for you before? Sometimes, the bulbs you get from plants Purchased a big box stores really only bloom for one year. At least that’s from my experience. If they are seasoned bulbs, meaning they’ve bloomed for you in other years, I would wonder if they had adequate time to store energy. In other words, could they have been dug up too early? Or, could they use more fertilizer? The health of the bulbs is key. I sorry I couldn’t be of more help, but I’m just throwing out possible ideas on what could’ve happened.
