You lovely people, you 🙌 ... a Living fairytale you are fortunate to share with one another! I've seen nothing finer. Curved paths are always the way to go. Thank you, great seeing you both, and wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving and continued success. Blessings!💜!
Thank you. That is so nice of you to say! And, yes, my husband is a bit camera-shy, but he really needed to make an appearance in this video, of all videos. Thanks for visiting!
So good to see a new Rosanne's Garden video. I adore your landscaping and your husband's hardscaping. I also love hearing all the songbirds in the background. I have not gained any new bunnies lately. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. I hope you and your husband have a nice, relaxing and very Happy Thanksgiving.
Hello Sharon! Ahh, the bunnie collector! Thanks for reminding me. Maybe I mentioned it before, but to avoid overcrowding 🐇🐇🐇, we have reached our limit (14). I've tried not to have any garden scene or vignette with more than one bunny showing at a time, which is getting difficult to do. From now on, if one comes in, one goes out. Tough love. 😉
Yes. Tough love. I resisted a colorful one yesterday at Ace Hardware while I was there searching for a bulb planter. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since. I may have to stop by again today and bring it home with me. I have a much smaller yard than you and I already have four, maybe five. That sitcom Curb Your Enthusiasm comes to mind.
Thank you so much! It's nice to hear that you look forward to my videos. As you know, I don't do that many, but I try to make them each special. Glad you appreciate the bench! I'll let him know.
I had to stop what I was doing when I saw you had posted a new video! I’m so glad you did this because hardscape is one of my favorite things about your garden. My husband plans to retire next may and I hope to convince him to do a little flagstone area and walkway. If ours turn out half as nice as yours, I will be so happy!
Yay! Ha! So glad you look forward to my videos. I do recall you have mentioned the hardscape during other videos. Maybe Santa will bring a mallet and chisel to your husband for Christmas? Let me know if you get your flagtstone area and path!
Your husband is quite the king of stone, it looks fantastic, your place looks like an enchanted story book, I love it, if I lived closer I’d want a tour…very beautiful…Where did you find the big fat bunny holding the bunch of carrots?
Hi Tammy! Yes, my husband is quite the stone artist. You are welcome to a tour anytime you find yourself in this neck of the country. That big fat bunny is "The Mayor" (our name for him as he presides over the garden). He is at least 10 years old, and we bought him at a local garden center. However, he was (I seem to recall) manufactured by a company called Campania. They have very nice quality garden statues. Here's a link: www.campaniainternational.com/product-category/animals
Roseanne, your garden is simply magical. Can't wait to see if my "Roseanne's calla lilies" I planted in your honor come up next year. Was unable to dig them up. 🤞 Thanks for sharing
It is so beautiful, thank you so much for sharing this garden beauty with us. We just moved house and exactly, I am looking for inspiration and ideas, I am fascinated by the placement of the stone, the only thing I have managed to finish is my greenhouse, as it has been spectacular 🙈 I imagine how happy you are in this paradise that you and your husband have built. Congratulations Rosanne. Greetings from Tulsa, Ok.🌼
Greetings to Oklahoma! Wow, a greenhouse! I'm sure you are on the way to a spectacular garden. I absolutely love going to other people's gardens to get inspired, whether virtual or in-person. Glad you enjoyed ours! All the best with your garden. 🌹🌿🌺
I read what other have written and I couldn't agree more. You both are a talent and please post again. Wonderful holidays and good health to both of you and your family.
Hi Rosanne. I love the stone sofa. It’s absolutely stunning. I am in love with all of your paths and trails. I have a path that I started making with wood chips that I acquired when I had some trees cut down and chipped. I am about one third of the way finished, and I think I am going to plant some bushes and flowers along the sides of it. It’s too cold to go out there now, everything is frozen, so it’s time to dream and plan and figure out what plants I will put in. I will definitely use your videos for reference. Thanks for another interesting and beautiful video. 💚🌹🌷
Thank you Mary! That stone sofa is pretty special ☺️. We have one wood chip path too. I didn't put it in the video because it wasn't stone, but it is highly functional, and surrounded by flowers and shrubs. It's our "lawnmower" path, or handicapped access path. That's the beauty of winter...time to dwell on "what could be". Have a happy 🦃 day.
hi mrs. rosanne, im from PHILIPPINES! i really really love to watch your video about your garden yard, it such a beautiful like the garden on fairytale, verry verry beautiful 😍😍😍 your husband is verry good for landscaping, i am also a garden lover too! ❣️❣️❣️ stay healthy to both of you ❣️❣️❣️
hi mrs rosanne, i am asking for a little help, pls support my youtube channel too.. i am new begginer at youtube, i am showing our daily life routine thankyou💗💗💗 ruclips.net/video/lKhQ0xJSLbk/видео.html
You have some really great design ideas! After seeing your video with a clematis climbing near your front door, I added clematis onto the drain pipes this spring and it’s fantastic! Thanks for the idea!
Thank you! And, my pleasure. Thanks for letting me know about the clematis! I love hearing how ideas people picked up on my channel worked out for them. ☺️ 🌹🌿
Great ideas! I have a narrow walkway that leads to my back yard or my rose garden and this really gives me good ideas. Love the moss idea between the stones too. Bugs and love from Texas, zone 8
Thank you Linda! Glad you got some ideas from the video. If you haven't already, you might be interested in my video specifically on our side garden: ruclips.net/video/oZo2mVCLT3Q/видео.html
I am so happy I stumbled upon your channel. I am a new gardener in minnesota and you have taught me so much. It’s so inspiring to see your garden. I hope to one day have a beautiful garden like you.
Hi neighbor! That is very kind of you to say Hannah. I'm glad you are enjoying my channel. As you build your own garden, remember that gardens are a process, ever evolving. That's what makes it so much fun! All the best in gardening.
This is inspiring. Your husband did impressive work! I am trying to figure out hardscaping a thin area between our house and a 6 ft fence. It’s a thin area and the previous owner had covered the ground with wood mulch. It’s now getting muddy and needs a better solution. Thank you for the ideas and insight on how you did your areas. I’d be interested in seeing more DIY hardscape videos.
Thank you! Narrow side-yard gardens are often underutilized. If you haven't already, do check out my video on our side yard garden:ruclips.net/video/oZo2mVCLT3Q/видео.html It focuses more on the plants, but you might find it interesting. Next hardscape project my husband does, I will definitely film it! Thanks for watching and commenting.
See the inspiration and love of you and your husband in gardening through your carefully planned carefree looking garden. Thanks for sharing how you two create your garden.
Your style and my style is so similar. Every detail you have would blend perfectly in my yard. I love this tour. We have a lot of stone pathways but there is always room for improvement. I wonder if that moss will grow in western ky zone 7a
Yay! So glad you are enjoying the videos! I do think that the Sagina subulata would grow just fine in your zone. I'd probably keep it out of too much direct sun, however. And, keep it watered. Give it a try!
All of it is so beautiful! Thank you for sharing your garden. The bench is a big WOW! Your husbands skill and eye for design is amazing! You two have blended your talents beautifully.
Wow! I am always so enthralled with your garden and this video is such a great showpiece. I am not sure how I missed seeing the bench before. A tour de force indeed! Kudos to Husband for his skill and hard work. Wish I had the same luck with the Irish moss - not yet but I keep trying in Oregon zone 7. Thank you for this video Rosanne! ❤️🌹
Thank you so much! Ahh, the bench is pretty special and so is my husband 🥰! Sorry to hear about the Irish Moss. It seems like it would thrive in zone 7. Do keep trying and make sure it gets enough sun (too much shade is my biggest issue with it).Good luck!
If I could, I would give you 2 thumbs up. I have 1 1/2 acres out of the 2 acres to design and landscape. I don't have any large trees. I find it hard as the driveway is in the back of the house. Thank you for the inspiration. I really love the turtle.
Wow, thanks! You do have quite a large garden to design and landscape! What an exciting prospect. Looking for inspiration by visiting other people's gardens, whether virtual or in person, is not only fun, it provides so many ideas. Glad you could stop by. All the best in gardening! 🌹🌿🌺
Thank you! That is a compliment indeed ☺️. I'm so happy that you are finding my channel enjoyable...and a bit encouraging for cold-weather gardeners 🌺🌳🌻
You have an absolutely beautiful garden, and I especially appreciate that you design it yourselves and make it with your own hands. Congratulations from faraway. I really love your videos, Rosanne. 😍
Rosanne, I was finding it hard to find a garden I liked, and yours is stunning! I love it. And I love the touch of the turtle stepping stone 💚 Thank you also for sharing your garden design. I cannot find many online and I am in the process of designing my garden in the UK. You don't happen to have a video of how you made the stone bench at the end of the video, do you? Thank you :)
Greetings to the UK! Yay! So glad you are enjoying our garden. Do check out my other videos if you are new to my channel. I don't do many videos, but I try to make each one special. Regarding the stone bench, we do not have a video. It took my husband most of one summer, working part time. Can't believe I don't even have photos of that! We love to share our garden and pleased you found the design graphic useful. Have the most fun possible designing your new garden. 😄🌹🌺
Your stepping stones are wonderful! We installed 5 large "pink" flagstones which looked pretty at the time, but get very dirty and stained. Any suggestions for cleaning stepping stones?
Glad you like the stonework! We do clean the stones (maybe every 5 years or so) and have found one product that doesn't seem to bother they Irish Moss. It is "30 Second Outdoor Cleaner". I use the concentrate and follow the directions very closely. Here's a (ridiculously long) link so you can see it. It seems to be widely available. Good luck! www.amazon.com/30-SECONDS-Outdoor-Cleaner-Gallon/dp/B072F4CSC3/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?gclid=CjwKCAiA7dKMBhBCEiwAO_crFEr8sq1EQlnhK9fNCOhASLkmHz0XbVFshVO7ULCwZ7-xEvF3w6ysrhoCuoEQAvD_BwE&hvadid=174223356876&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9019663&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=7254011483234169708&hvtargid=kwd-11951146114&hydadcr=24628_9648893&keywords=30%2Bseconds%2Boutdoor%2Bcleaner&qid=1637170328&sr=8-2-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExM1ZNWFNTWVRBSkxTJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMTMwNTA2MVNOMUY0NldGUDg1SCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMTcyMTIxMTEzOEJCMTZLSUwxUiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU&th=1
Isn't it wonderful your husband is so involved in your gardens? I live in a country mostly below sea level, flat as a pancake. Luckily I live deep in the country on the hills and in a river valley. A bit level is there, but as much as your garden would be a dream. My biggest difference is 80cm XD Isn't it funny we both would love the opposite? As for natural stone, we don't have any. Incredible expensive to get, brought from far away countries, we m(f)ake them of concrete. Not as strong though. And not as beautiful. You gotta do with what you have. I enjoyed your video again, Rosanne. Thanks.
Greetings Tineke! As you say, I am indeed very fortunate to have my husband as a partner in gardening. As to terrain, it is funny that we like the opposites. Do you know the saying, "Grass is always greener on the other side". It seems to fit ☺️. Too bad about the natural stone, but I totally get it. We are fortunate that it is plentiful in this area of the world. As you say, we all need to make the most of what we do have! Thanks for commenting!
Hi Rosanne, what a lovely garden! Often I feel at a loss as to where to begin when working on the landscaping here at our place. Your videos are inspiring me and providing me with ideas to try something out of the ordinary. Thank you! Angela
Hi Rosanne! Do you put sealer on your natural stones/flagstones? And what have you done through the years to keep the stones maintained/looking beautiful? I absolutely love your garden! So inspiring!!
Thanks! We do not put any sealer on our natural stones. But, about every 4 or 5 years we do clean them. We have found that a product called "30 seconds" works well and doesn't seem to hurt the Irish Moss (whew!). Follow directions and wear old clothing. Here's a link to the product so you can see it. www.acehardware.com/departments/home-and-decor/cleaning-and-disinfectants/mold-and-mildew-removers/7130834?store=15367&gclid=CjwKCAiA6seQBhAfEiwAvPqu16Zu0Wovk8MGpWQgNn1xEBxGmdmi5xx-FpUAYd7OpWaChlJwMX7daxoCO3QQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Thank you, your garden I stunning. I’m planning a sculpture at the moment snd I want to grow Irish Moss all over it 😍 what I’d live to ask is where you purchased your furniture set!? I’m in UK but I’d love to look at it online if possible 👍🏼
Greetings to the UK! Your sculpture sounds intriguing. The furniture set is about 15 years old, and I do not even know the brand. But, come spring, I would hope you could find similar pieces. Good luck!
I am new to your channel and I LOVE YOUR LANDSCAPE ❤️❤️❤️. Did I miss where your hardiness zone is?? Your gardens are so fun and interesting. I love your choice of plants and trees. Would love to watch a video you did to describe the trees Etc.
Thank you and welcome to my channel! Glad you like our garden! At the beginning of each of my videos (first 6 seconds or so), I have a Title block printed with Minneapolis, MN, USDA Zone 4. I have about 25 videos and one on trees. Do check them out at RUclips.com/RosannesGarden. Welcome again!
Hi, that would be the Irish Moss (Sagina subulata). The same plant as we have growing in between the stepping stones and in our paths. Glad you like it!
Your husband is a true master stone mason. You have a beautiful yard; lush, balanced, healthy, esthetically pleasing and well cared for.
He is indeed 😄. That is nice of you to say; I'm glad you appreciate our garden! We love sharing it with others.
You two make a dream team -- you created a lovely garden.
Thank you. I agree that without my husband's stonework, our garden would be very, very different. We are very fortunate.
Dont know of a more beautifully landscaped property!! Just breathtaking!
That is so kind of you to say! Thank you. I guess we have similar taste!
Stunning! You and your husband are amazing artists.
Thank you Cindy! I'm so glad you enjoy our garden! 🌹

Wow, thanks! You do have quite a large garden to design and landscape! What an exciting prospect. Looking for inspiration by visiting other people's gardens, whether virtual or in person, is not only fun, it provides so many ideas. Glad you could stop by. All the best in gardening! 🌹🌿🌺
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful property your gardens are fantastic and I got so many great ideas thanks again .

I just want to keep watching your beautiful garden again and again..it's enchanting indeed. Did not know you can do so much in zone 4.
Greetings to my faraway fellow gardener! It is very rewarding to create a garden from a blank canvas. I'm glad you're enjoying my channel!
Your husband is amazing. Beautiful hardscape and garden.

Rosanne, I was finding it hard to find a garden I liked, and yours is stunning! I love it.
And I love the touch of the turtle stepping stone 💚
Thank you also for sharing your garden design.
Nice informative video. Your garden is beautiful with the artistic stone use.
Thank you so much 😊. Glad you like the natural stone.

Beautiful 🍁
Thank you! 😊
Great video and explanation. Your garden is gorgeous!
Thanks Linda! Glad you enjoyed it!
Good luck!

natural stone and moss.......❤️
Yes, a perfect pairing.
Your videos are very inspiring !

Thank you! I'm so glad you think so! 🌷🌞🌳

Good luck!
This is the garden of my dreams!!!

I am new to your channel and I LOVE YOUR LANDSCAPE ❤️❤️❤️. Did I miss where your hardiness zone is?? Your gardens are so fun and interesting. I love your choice of plants and trees. Would love to watch a video you did to describe the trees Etc.

Thank you so much!! ❤
What do you plant between the stones on the patio? Looks lovely!
Hi, that would be the Irish Moss (Sagina subulata). The same plant as we have growing in between the stepping stones and in our paths. Glad you like it!
Please give us a indoor home tour one day….🙂
Thanks for the suggestion and interest! Maybe I'll do a video "Short". Haven't done one yet!
