    Turkish tea is the most addicting drink I have ever had in my entire life. I am South American and coffee is a huge part of our culture, I would drink almost 2 full pots of coffee a day. I went to turkey for two weeks, I stopped drinking coffee and entirely and all I drink is black tea. lol

    Advice from a tea loving Turkish guy: Try different brands until you find the taste you really like. I love tea so much that i drink like 7-9 big cups of tea a day but there are some tea brands that i can't even stand their taste, and it depends for everyone. Also, everything works when brewing tea but in my opinion porcelain teapot that's used on the stove(not electricity) is the best.

    Thank you for sharing your lovely tips on making Turkish tea. We drink LOTS of tea in our house too. Most tea in Australia is drunk without the extra brewing over low heat at the end. I would really like to try the tea grown in the Black Sea region of Turkey. We usually drink black Ceylon tea. I love the look of the Turkish tea glasses, very elegant. Iyi geceler ve teşekkür ederim 😊🌹

    Agree about boiled water, it is best at 90degrees Celcius. Also you should never use previously boiled water as it gets too deoxygenated and reduces the flavour of the tea.

    Thank you for sharing these useful tips!
    I have a question, how do the Turks keep the tea hot (not lukewarm) for 3-4 hours for 1-2 persons? Obviously not a samovar as that's for gatherings usually I think.
    I've been looking everywhere for a good quality carafe flask for making (loose) tea 🍵 in & keeping it hot for 2-4 hours.
    There's many on the market, upon comparing & purchasing a few, I've found most go down in temperature very quickly & not make the tea taste bad, tea goes lukewarm in less than half hour. The well known brands such as Thermos & Stanley, don't have any & the few old versions they have have poor ratings & reviews..
    I have tried using a Thermos brand flask instead with a push pourer, but it's a but awkward as it's tall & lanky & topples over sometimes. It does the job though but it's not very aesthetic or suitable for a tea ceremony!
    The only other thing I've found is an electric teapot warmer which again many have poor reviews & have to keep buying them & sending them back... (The candle ones make the tea lukewarm only).
    I think there's a gap in the market for such a product, plus to make it environmentally friendly with added benefits of safe materials such as BPA free etc. I'd be interested in your comments.

    • @KingOfKings888
      @KingOfKings888 Год назад

      I've been using this method for 45 years now and the answer to your question vastly depends on whether you want to drink it HOT or what we in USA call, ICE TEA!!! ... So for ICE TEA, you can surely steep/brew a large quantity of Fresh Tea Leaves, then mix the amount of water that you like, which meets your taste buds, whether you like it STRONG or WEAK. *YOU* will decide that; as she said in her video, she likes it STRONG which will taste Bitter. I do NOT recommend adding Sugar as it greatly influences the taste of Tea in a Negative way (at least that's true according to MY TASTE BUDS) ... that may NOT be so true for *YOU*!!!
      Now, if you want to drink it HOT, then you must absolutely positively NOT steep large quantity Tea, just do enough for 1 Cup or if you like to drink more than just 1 Cup, then make enough for as many Cups as you want to drink and THAT'S IT, nothing more. HOT Tea MUST BE STEEPED FRESH EVERY SINGLE TIME and NEVER re-heat & drink LEFT OVER Tea; it is absolutely revolting and has no taste. Freshly steeped Tea soothes your Body, Soul & awakens your Taste buds while stimulating your mind.

    And the ratio of water to tea leaves? Seems like an essential piece of information to me!

    • @TheAncientTouch
      @TheAncientTouch  Год назад +1

      not that essential usually for a tea spoon of tea leaves 1 cup or 1 and half cup boiling water but people make it more or less even so not a big deal just be careful not to add too much water otherwise you end up having very pale tea

    Watching this video, it's ok but the idea is you drink more than 1 tea, when u gave the proper set up u just keep adding and mixing. This idea is ok for 1 I guess. And the stronger Tea it has to boil for 30 to 45 to get the flavours. Which it sits on the lower kettle, as it boils / steams.
