Yep. I was going to buy a 2013 a4. I read the Carfax and in 117k miles it has not been changed even tho it was serviced in an Audi dealer several times in the last 5 years. They want $2k here in the US to replace timing belt.
Don’t know if this is to late a reply, but I’ve found there’s nothing more expensive than a cheap Audi, pay the extra money to make sure you get one that’s been well looked after and maintained. This specific repair is around £500-£600
In sweden we pay almost 2000$ for this. Thanks to this i dit it for 150 with just markings. Only ”special” tool was INX 10 for the belt pulley. Thank you!
Dismantle all front end just to replace a timing belt. Brilliant
could be worse some cars you have to remove the engine completely to change timing belts/ chains
This germany technology is a kak

@@robmen1402i paid about 1k for a timing belt change and water pump here in Norway😅 2k is crazy tho
@@esotericking5267 Yeah, mechanic work here in the state I live in is freaking insane. Just the hourly labor cost has more than doubled in most shops.
Hi which tools have for camaxel?
Do all A4’s of this age (B8) have timing belts or do some have chains?
How much was the cost?
Can I just ask how much - roughly - this would take? I am considering an Audi but I heard the repair bills are a nightmare

Nice video!
I have the exact same car, Where do i find the torque spec?
At what miles and years do you recommend to do this? As Audi have now changed the intervals to 15 years or 140k whichever comes first. Thanks
3 years or 100k
is it possible to check condition of the belt without removing the whole bumper?
You have to listen for a tick tick noise coming from the engine. Also rev issues. Bad revs.
@@robmen1402 🐂
One thing what I hate mechanics writing on plastics below hood miles when TB is change. Every car have service book with reason
I like the pole for the brake pedal start . 🍺
Brilliant video!
Perfect !
Thank you
Good work sir.. mumbai
