That's just not true at all. It's like saying we wouldn't have bad people if everyone had good parents. They all come with their own personalities, good ownership will always increase good behaviour and decrease bad behaviour but there will still always be badly behaved dogs, no matter how good the owners are.

It makes me sad to see animals abandoned like that. I rescued my cat Boris after his owners abandoned him, but unfortunately we hadn't realized what was really going on until after his sister ended up dying. I found part of her body while picking up litter in the spring after the snow had melted. My grandma ended up taking Boris to his "owners" and told them that Boris' sister was dead and they didn't give two shits. They said Boris would be fine on his own. So we took him home and he's been with us ever since. Never bitten or scratched us once! So thankful to be able to care for him

We looked for the owners for several weeks, but nothing came up. The vet assumed she was just over a year when we found her, and had been outside for most of her life. Strays of any kind are really rare where we live. The cat had an unreadable ID tattoo (which is really uncommon) and so she became ours. She's super clingy now and acts more like a dog than the average cat. Mom keeps saying she can feel the gratitude.
Oh wow...the look of sheer awful hopelessness in her eyes when you found her - and then that light beginning to come back on again, the tail wagging and the realisation that she was safe and loved. Fantastic job once again, guys. XXX
Rebecca Hicks I had a Staffordshire Bull Terrier (as pit bulls are known in the UK) and he was quite small but powerful. He had a very loving nature and liked nothing better than cuddling into me as I held him like a baby. They are wonderful companion dogs and have gentle, loving natures.
Humans too easily forget that the love of a dog is unconditional. I honestly can't begin to fathom how a human can leave a domesticated dog to fend for itself like that. That level of cruelty leaves me shaking my head, but videos like yours restore my faith in humanity. Please keep up the great work...and thank you for bringing some light into my day.

Yeah but I live in Ireland (northern) sadly... And there's no strays about that I can help, but my friends keep saying "it's weird, save up for money to put in the charity box instead of wasting your time looking for dogs" and I actually have found a dogs that I helped find there home.
They are banned in The United Kingdom and have been since 1991 after there were more instances with Pit Bulls than ALL the other 200 Dog Breeds COMBINED! THAT is the problem.It breaks my heart when you see a lovely one like Bunny but Pits are PEOPLE LOVERS NOT usually " other dog" lovers, hence the problem Tarmesha.
I have 2 golden retrievers and they are so loving. One of mine came from a bad shelter, we rescued him. He was so skinny you could see all of his ribs. But now he is so cute and chubby
I would give anything to have my girl back. She became extremely ill and we had to make the heart wrenching decision to put her to sleep. That was almost two years ago and my heart is still broken. I just don't understand these cruel people. If you can't handle having a pet, don't get one. If you get a pet and cannot handle them, rehome. They cannot survive on their own!

This guy that lives on my street has a very large pitbull and she is neglected but I give her snacks usually when I see her and the other day these dogs i were chasing me a rottweiler and a Doberman and she came running and defended me from them so I'm thinking of adopting her her name is Lucy btw

***** it still does not serve a purpose (aesthetic isn't suppose to be consider like a purpose). It's plain stupid and most of the time can cause most ear infection if it's not done properly. I have heard that SOME dogs still hunt and herd may need their tail cut but it's not necessary.
Ear cutting is mostly cosmetic, it makes the dog look more ferocious (pit breeds) or gives it a more alert appearance ( dobermans, great danes, etc ). It does not harm the dog if done by a vet. Unfortunately those who breed to fight their dogs will chop or use scissors on puppies or adult dogs. Sometimes is can be for health. I have had two bouviers (herding dogs). One had his ears cropped to a point and he never had problems with ear infections. My second one had natural floppy ears and got ear infections a few times. But if it was strictly for health reasons we would see it being done on many of the spaniel breeds who can have chronic ear infections with their long floppy ears. Of course it would ruin their "looks".
unfortunately it does have a purpose for some. the people who breed dogs to fight them remove the ears because if the other dog got their dog by the ear and bit it off the dog would be weakened by blood loss and pain and would be more likely to lose. they are also the people who usually do it at home, and it often gets infected and ive heard some dogs die because it gets so bad. they do it when their puppies but they dont take them to the vet, probably because they dont want to bother spending money on them. same with their tails, except ive heard they just tie a rubber band really tight around the tail and leave it their and it falls off eventually. the things these people do are freaking awful i cant even imagine watching a dog go thru that much less being the cause of it. thats why i appreciate people like eldad so much, they need as many people on their side as possible or things will never change :/
***** My family had Dobies and my parent cut their ears. Do not tell me it does not hurt. I held them while they cried with the pain as they endured the scabs being torn off at the vets, every week. And as for any purpose to this practice, there is none that justifies it. To say it is a good thing for fighting is not worth my reply.

The whole pit bull thing is really upsetting. Pit bulls are so misunderstood. It's just like any other dog but they're born with a sense of protection because abuse is in their direct bloodline. I don't think that pit bulls should have to wear a nuzzle for their entire live ( like most people do ) but maybe only until they are trained enough to not hurt any other animals or humans. I hate hearing stories about having to put a pit bull down, especially if it is because of a bite. I believe that ( with any dog ) if the bite isn't That bad, then it shouldn't have to be put down.

When she started to wag her tail and then it was hitting the wall while Eldad was showering her with love, I just closed my eyes so I could focus just on that beautiful sound. Thud thud thud thud thud. Relief. It felt like I’d been in pain and then the medication suddenly kicked in and I could truly relax. If you’ve ever been in pain for a very long time, and then had it go away, that’s how I felt.

You dont know the backstory. When dogs get out of yards, they can gain distance real quick . I know this first hand, my dog was found in the suburbs after 2 weeks of looking for her, i live in the city....some people in my case, would just give up looking after 2 weeks, and just hope the dog turns up somewhere. You cant jump to conclusions just because of a youtube with sad music in the background
Seeing how obedient the dog is, I would say she either ran away/got lost, or her family just chose to leave her outside and maybe they left. She's not aggressive at all. She listened when there was a tiny kitten around so she's probably been around kids.
So special she is. Thank you for rescuing her. What a precious soul with a heart full of love. Pits are the best. They are generous with their love and kisses. Great care givers.

***** it still does not serve a purpose (aesthetic isn't suppose to be consider like a purpose). It's plain stupid and most of the time can cause most ear infection if it's not done properly. I have heard that SOME dogs still hunt and herd may need their tail cut but it's not necessary.

Ear cutting is mostly cosmetic, it makes the dog look more ferocious (pit breeds) or gives it a more alert appearance ( dobermans, great danes, etc ). It does not harm the dog if done by a vet. Unfortunately those who breed to fight their dogs will chop or use scissors on puppies or adult dogs.
Sometimes is can be for health. I have had two bouviers (herding dogs). One had his ears cropped to a point and he never had problems with ear infections. My second one had natural floppy ears and got ear infections a few times. But if it was strictly for health reasons we would see it being done on many of the spaniel breeds who can have chronic ear infections with their long floppy ears. Of course it would ruin their "looks".
unfortunately it does have a purpose for some. the people who breed dogs to fight them remove the ears because if the other dog got their dog by the ear and bit it off the dog would be weakened by blood loss and pain and would be more likely to lose. they are also the people who usually do it at home, and it often gets infected and ive heard some dogs die because it gets so bad. they do it when their puppies but they dont take them to the vet, probably because they dont want to bother spending money on them. same with their tails, except ive heard they just tie a rubber band really tight around the tail and leave it their and it falls off eventually. the things these people do are freaking awful i cant even imagine watching a dog go thru that much less being the cause of it. thats why i appreciate people like eldad so much, they need as many people on their side as possible or things will never change :/

My family had Dobies and my parent cut their ears. Do not tell me it does not hurt. I held them while they cried with the pain as they endured the scabs being torn off at the vets, every week. And as for any purpose to this practice, there is none that justifies it. To say it is a good thing for fighting is not worth my reply.
I'm going to slap the next person who says pitbulls are are dangerous. This pit was scared and abandoned yet she did not attack any of the rescuers. Pitbulls are harmless and they just want to protect and love you. I'm definitely getting a Pitbull in the future, they're so cute :)

My blind brother owns a pit bull mix and he's such a sweet dog, and he's worked out my brother has trouble getting around at times so he helps him out. Before my brother had his dog he could not walk from his house to ours without help, now he just needs his dog.

The whole pit bull thing is really upsetting. Pit bulls are so misunderstood. It's just like any other dog but they're born with a sense of protection because abuse is in their direct bloodline. I don't think that pit bulls should have to wear a nuzzle for their entire live ( like most people do ) but maybe only until they are trained enough to not hurt any other animals or humans. I hate hearing stories about having to put a pit bull down, especially if it is because of a bite. I believe that ( with any dog ) if the bite isn't That bad, then it shouldn't have to be put down.
Also, there is no such thing as 'bad dogs', there is only bad owners.

When she started to wag her tail and then it was hitting the wall while Eldad was showering her with love, I just closed my eyes so I could focus just on that beautiful sound. Thud thud thud thud thud. Relief. It felt like I’d been in pain and then the medication suddenly kicked in and I could truly relax. If you’ve ever been in pain for a very long time, and then had it go away, that’s how I felt.

You dont know the backstory. When dogs get out of yards, they can gain distance real quick . I know this first hand, my dog was found in the suburbs after 2 weeks of looking for her, i live in the city....some people in my case, would just give up looking after 2 weeks, and just hope the dog turns up somewhere. You cant jump to conclusions just because of a youtube with sad music in the background

Seeing how obedient the dog is, I would say she either ran away/got lost, or her family just chose to leave her outside and maybe they left. She's not aggressive at all. She listened when there was a tiny kitten around so she's probably been around kids.

I love how they all treat every dog the same I have 2 huge Staffordshire bull terriers and everyone is scared of them but they are the 2 most cuddly loving dogs I’ve met! 💖💖💖

My dog is a Staffordshire Bullterrier and she wouldn't hurt a fly. She's scared of everything, especially cats xD my point is, pit bulls/staffs aren't aggressive. I wish people would stop saying they're aggressive when they're seriously not.

She was adopted, and is spoiled. He bonded closely with our male, and is doing good. She has a FB page were we post images and updates of her now and then.
Not a bad idea, but its a better idea for people to go look on their FB page, so maybe they can find an animal they can adopt too!
Many times the dogs are in good foster care for a while, because they are careful to find them good homes.

Last I heard she was adopted in 2014 and lived happily with a family in Oregon.
