I saw most of these on the streets growing up in Chicago. I was living at Addison, St. & Cicero Avenue in Chicago. I can remember them all. Especially Saturday mornings. A lot of them would be parked in the Sears Roebuck parking lot by the intersection of Cicero Ave., Milwaukee Ave., & Irving Park Road (i.e; six corners). I finished high school in Jan. 1962 & I will be 76 years old in a few months. Just trying to restore one of these relics would be a real challenge. A lot of time. A lot of money & a certain amount of frustration.
That was funny, you can see a White,1980 type Chevy Citation, in all these oldies but goodies! I had a blue one, 2 door in 1992 to 1994. Wish I never got rid of it now. It needed a lot of work though. Drove it the junkyard though. Got 25 dollars for it! Love these old cars and your video!
Americars....aah....Americars! Fantastic and thanks for providing this video. I am 6 years old again (+or- a couple.) Good Luck to you all, Bob Friendship, England.
I will never forget my grandpa had a 50s Caddy 2dr with the gas going under the tail light, I was a Todler and playing in the back seat when a Silver Dollar fell out on the floor board as most small children ennocent i gave it to my grandpa never thought about it until now! I would love to have that car today!
I have my parents 58 cadillac they bought in 1960. I was 1year old. It has the tail light assembly that lifts up to access the gas fill. I still drive it. Lifelong southern California car. Love it.

I am a fan of "Old Iron" but buying parts cars which means "some assembly required" is not what I have in mind. This was back when Americans took pride in their cars.
Living in the rust belt, (Wisconsin), it's nice to see all the prestine sheet metal on the bottoms of these cars. I lost many great running cars to Wisconsin rust up to the windows making them unsafe to drive. Still have an old Buick to remind me how American cars were built.....Gerry
US & C very smart of you to run this kind of youtube marketing strategy, I would like to think that you got tremendous feedback and of course sold a few of them there old vehicles.
Wow! What a collection of cars! I appreciate you very much trying to sell them by advertising them to the world rather than sending them straight to the crusher.
idea not practical but, what if we can swap them with the cubans in havana and get better cars or we could have a part of havana in the US, outside the box thinking to save classics and create tourism.
I have working Mopar clocks. are they worth anything? besides, beautiful lot of cars! wonder who had them before.... find anything interesting in them?
You really have to cry when you see these beauties rusting away. That was still American automobile manufacture. Hopefully they will be brought back to life.
0:11 after he said that, I looked and imagined every one of these cars all restored, new paint job, cleaned up at a car show in the future! That would be great
Car at 1:40 looks just like the mint green 58 Dodge Coronet i had, except it had 2 large chrome bullets on the front. got it from a Neighbor Lady for Cheap body and paint was good but drivetrain was wrecked, i was a stupid teen at the time and wanted something to drive then so i sold it. regretted it ever since.

I have my parents 58 CADILLAC they bought in 1960. I was 1 year old. I have it, and have owned it since my mom signed it over to me in 1982. I still drive it regularly. I'm 61 now, and the car is 62 years old. I must admit, I believe it does have a form of consciousness, and does know me, and that I'm its caretaker, after 60 years together.
@@johnfranklin5277 wow I'm 62 too . And that's a very nice thing ..somethings you cant explain but you just feel it for some reason ....thanks for sharing your story ....
So many Buicks! And most 1955-7, the best years. I counted 2 Packards, 2 Fords and 3 Chryslers, otherwise all GM makes. Nice collection, most look restorable.
I'm a sucker for the 59 Two door Impalas elCaminos, clamshell Rivieras 67 Chevy's and the 66-67 Toronados. Should have loaded up years ago when they were dirt cheap. Who else remembers when they were just old cars?
These are neglected classic cars that have been eaten away by time, mice, and abuse from being left unprotected or cared for in a BARN for decades. They're restoration candidates for sure, but let's not sugar-coat their condition.
Thanks to N.A.T.O., here in 1950s-60s Italy there were lots of things like these ones round the streets... my bis-grandpa owned a 1934 Ford V8 Business Coupe (3 Window) beetween 1934 and 1937, when he roled in army. In 1943, car was sequestred by germans, and who knows wherever they sent it... my grandpa started with a 1949 Oldsmobile Hydramatic Convertible, an 88, that he bought at 13, in 1953, and sold in 1956 to buy an all-new Buick Riviera Convertible... That year, he started working as an international-traveling truck driver. He drove his 1958 Peterbilt 351 to Europe, UK, Ireland, Sweden, Kenya, Iceland, Egypt, Turkey, and with all cautions and permissions, lso to Yugoslavia.... but the REAL problem in WESTERN HEMISPHERE Is that THERE ARE BUICKS, CHEVROLETS AND OLDSMOBILES ROTTING IN A FIELD AND MANY-A TOYOTAS, NISSANS AND HONDAS ON THE ROAD....
I love to see old American cars. It would be nice to see them brought back to original stock condition and back on the roads. I feel it spoils them when people make them into hot rods....Geoff from England.

Would love to walk round there, and take my pick, i’m curious what sort of camera you’re using, at one point I thought maybe there was some music going in the background that only these cars could hear, it looked like they were dancing and bobbing up and down lol...
This was originally shot on a phone prior to having a video editor, as RUclips had a built in Stabilizer effect which "smoothed" the shots out creating that weird frame-blur effect.
I was very nostalgic for this video! I saw many cars there that I have always wanted and that I can not find because here in Mexico they are not found! It is quite sad to see them there so alone and abandoned
Any chance I can buy a Short Tailstock 727 Transmission with the parking brake on end of tailstock, I need a SB aluminum 727, hear only early 1962 has that. I have a SB core so I could use parts off a BB Mopar with short tailstock with parking brake.
Many of them will sell ... if the price is right. That's what it all boils down to as most of these cars will need a lot of time, work and money to bring them back. Some of them don't look like they need too much but that's without looking at their interior, floor boards, engine. Others are too far gone and would cost more to try to bring back than they would be worth. Lots of snow during those Minnesota winters. Bet there's a lot of rust. Sad that they all ended up here.
if you go to the website, you see the down 'n' dirty, ( rusty) even though " some' would be awesome to bring back, you have to remember they are in a junk yard for a reason the vid is a year old, a lot of the same cars are on it . not for the squeamish , nor the amateur !
DougCameraman all yard art only 5% of the world's population have enough money to if you do it yourself it's going to take 30 grand for a $10,000 car after it's finished a shame
Ockie Ditchbank -I’ve had to hunt down parts for some late 60’s muscle cars, so I know used parts (for say a 69 GTO) are astronomical, if you can find them at all. My bro needed a small reverse lens for his 68 roadrunner-the guy wanted $500 bucks!!!
It took me the early 60's when these cars were hitting the streets of Asmara,Eritrea Horn of Africa where Kagnew station,American Military base was there.
Check the undercarriage and frame really good before you purchase one of these cars. Remember, Minnesota is part of the rust belt and being stored on dirt they rusted quickly from the ground up. But there are many beautiful cars in this collection.
That MIGHT be a '59 Impala hardtop @ 4:35 and if it is, it's one of the few worth having and restoring. The value restored, would by greater than the cost to restore it.
Those early Olds Toronados are the most beautiful cars ever. At least I have a thing for them. And I see there's a Chevy Citation. I bet those are in high demand or maybe not. Got any Edsels?
