I'm glad that people are finally reacting to this band on YT. This has got to be one of the most underrated and unrecognized indie progressive metal bands of all time, which is a real shame because they are really really awesome. I saw them play live in Dallas TX in 2005 and was blown away. I hope you can review more of their songs like A Seafarer's knot, Dance of the Manatee, Kyla Cries Cologne, etc. Love your reactions, you guys are awesome!
Agreed. I was a huge fan when they were still around and was utterly crestfallen when they broke up. My favorites are The Walls of Jericho, and April Fools and Eggmen
I've seen a lot of bands live. They are still my favorite that I saw live. So unique. That's why I got them tattooed on me. They put on a great show and they were nice as fuck.

Great band. I haven't heard this song in a long time. They had such a unique sound. The singer has a great voice and they are excellent musicians. Props to the requester of this band and song.
Shit, new people learning about Fair to Midland? Awesome. Rikki Tikki Tavi and The Greener Grass are my faves. This album suffered from a weird mix, but the music (and musicians) are great.
Holy crap my daughters best friends dated these guys in high school Andrew ( Darroh ) and Cliff …. I would load the kids up in Sulphur Springs and head to deep Elum downtown Dallas …. I have all their Tshirts just washed them today going thru my sons clothes that I kept after he passed away …. Have many many videos and pictures of them from high school Edit …. Kicked them out of my house many times when they would show up after 2am lol lord this brings back so many memories ….. they would eat me out of house and home lol
Fair to Midland is a hidden mega diamond. Underrated, under-recognized, gone too soon. This video gets a like simply because it's Fair to Middling and I will alway promote their reformation. Also, you're awesome for finding and reviewing them.
@scottyb7979 me, too, exactly that. This song was my gateway drug...then I found Fables & inter.funda.stifle & it was over. Waited 2 years for Arrows & Anchors, and it never disappointed me for 1 second.
One of the most legit live bands I’ve ever seen, saying they were talented doesn’t begin to do Fair to Middling justice. Darroh hitting those notes and he climbs all over the lighting scaffolding and hangs upside down was insane and doubly so for how natural he would make it. Miss this band so much.
Tragically underrated band who fell victim to the "music business". I can't get enough of their album Fables from a Mayfly. Check out their live performance of Dance of the Manatee. The singer was hanging upside down from the ceiling over the crowd.
forever my favorite band. and they actually released 4 albums, but the first one was trash, the 2nd was BARELY produced...and the 3rd (Fables from a Mayfly) used about 6 of the songs from the 2nd (inter.funda.stifle). the 4th and last, Arrows and Anchors, was their most consistent and hard hitting (including this song). this singer, Darroh, is WAY too brilliant to be out of music now. i hate that about this world...

Can't forget about how amazing the lyrical content is as well. Tall Tales Taste Like Sour Grapes is by far my favorite followed by Coppertank Island.
