Good idea! The vert is heavier in the rear too so that might cause it to sag more with coupe springs.

Notchbacks have issues here out back. All the lowering kits were aimed at hatches and gts and the lighter ass in the coupe made them too stiff. We'd routinely mix Eibach or BBK with four banger strings in the back.

Hello from Massachusetts 👋. Love your content and passion for these cars. A quick and unrelated question for you and the rest of the audience...... which foxes have more leg room? Never had a fox, but want one bad. Sat in a friends the other day. 89' which of course has the tilt wheel. I'm 6'3" and the wheel was touching my legs the whole time. Even raised all the way, with the seat all the way back. Would a 90-93 give me more room ? Perhaps a new video topic for you brother? Thanks in advance.

Aftermarket springs ride too stiff, IMO. I'm not sliding around corners. 😁
Urethane bushings are .... Stiff and transmit road noise. 🙄

Pairing the aftermarket spring with proper shocks helps alot. Alot of guys just slap lowering springs on with oem shocks and bitch about the ride being bad lol. Granted it still won't ride like a stock car but it isn't much more stiff and handling is alot better.

Hi Gary. I put Ford Motorsport "B" springs in my car many years ago. The front height is perfect but the rear has always looked a little too high to me. I had no idea that Ford condones cutting their springs. But before I do that, I think I'll look around for some springs from a steel roofed car, which brings up the questions, 1. Do coupes and hatchbacks have the same spring rates and 2. I've heard that 4 cylinder cars have even slightly softer springs than V8 cars. I imagine 4 cylinder cars have softer front springs but do you know anything about the rear springs. As always, thanks. Bill. 🦊🦊🐺🐺

    • @KASLCustoms

Great video and information. This is something I am dealing with right now. I am trying to figure out what type of springs my car has on it. I owned a lx 5.0 hatch back in the day and finally bought another one about a year ago. The suspension seems harsher than the stock ride quality I remember on my old car. The ride height seems like it may be slightly lower than stock. If anyone knows any secrets to figuring out what type of springs I have. If there are any markings to look for on them to tell if they may be stock and my memory about the ride quality is off. I appreciate any help.
