a straight pour but is it important to layering the paint in an specfic order. Opacity, transparency, metalic....? I'm sure than you will create another beautiful experience and i will love it. ❤❤❤
Hello Garrick. I hardly ever leave a comment on anybody's Channel but I have to tell you how much I enjoy your videos. You are so talented and knowledgable and an excellent teacher. I also really get a kick out of your sense of humor. You make me laugh and I look forward to your next one. You do inspire me to try to copy what you do. Never can, but you make me want to try. Please don't stop sharing your expertise and kindness.
Now I know I commented on the last video saying how I wish I would have found you first. That is still true. I love how you experiment and teach us the difference. That's how I learned. I'm a very visual learner. These 2 paintings myself. I would put them together as a set on the wall. Even though they're so different, they still seem like they flow together for some reason. Probably because of the color. I mean, I'm not an artist. I've never been an artist. I've always been a math. You know everything has to make sense. But this is the greatest learning experience of my life. I'm 50 years old and I'm just now starting to wanna dab into my artist. Sighed and boy, I'm telling you, you are awesome. You're an awesome artist. You are just the whole package.I love you keep doing what you do
Hi Garrick, I have found in my teaching classes that with the premixed paints the metallics always have a problem with shredding. I believe that they put something else in the paints that in large amounts doesn't play well with the other paints. I am enjoying your experiments. Very fun to watch.
@@GarrickBrownArtStudio it’s just something I have found and I just wanted to share my experience. We all learn new things together. Have a wonderful day Garrick.😀
Oh man! They are both so cool. The thick paint one looks like a desert sunset reflected in a chrome dog bowl hubcap. Ibalmost like that better than the proper pour! A little airbrushing on the light blue top edge to darken it a bit would be the only thing I'd do to touch it up. Great color picks!❤❤
Hi Garrick - wow, wow, WOW! Just so inspiring and I learned a ton in this video. You are such an awesome teacher and I always love your messages of positivity, joy, and love! Thank you!
Another great tutorial, Garrick, and Hilda is not just your executive, but she is your scissor thief✂️✂️. I love all you do, I understand about taking time to edit, it can be a bear. Curious to see what you have coming up after ring pours.❤❤❤❤❤😘
See when I was saying you're the best teacher. I just learned what my mistakes were because my paintings had been doing that. They've been cracking like that. Or you just see the canvas when it dries. You see the canvas like it's not shiny like your paintings. So I guess I'm learning all of this wbye. So again, thank you.
Hello ! You may remember that I told you this is the Winterstrom live this past Monday , but I really love what you are doing with your videos . I watched before because you pour beautifully, but now I am a consistent viewer !
I loove that you are so talented. You are so Authentic and your content is COMPLETELY OPPOSITE of the other Yt channels! In the way that you genuinely give us begginer and wannabe paint Artist's a chance to learn paint processes. Ty! Other channels refuse to share info. Anyway I would have given up had I not found and I'm hopeful again that someday I might create something mine isn't that all anyone ever hopes to achieve!?
Great experiment! I’ve never seen anyone pour like this with house paint so it was super helpful. I love the look of the thicker one. Definitely New Mexico vibes.
Hello Garrick!! My favorite man that do the art fluid. 🥰 Again I love soooo much this experience. Verry interesting. I loooove the result with the house paint. It's incredable!!! My god never i thinking than the house paint react like this. WOWOWOWOW❤❤❤ You make me smiiiile 😁 with Hilda 🤣 than want to cut the tube. Really funny because i do this for scrape more paint. 😅🤑🤑🤑 I love the music and all what you do for us. I give you many loooove at all of you!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍
Everything looks wonderful, just love the colors, I like the paint a little better. Thank you so much for taking your time to produce these for us. Appreciate you so much! Love you too!
Garrick just wanted to encourage you to keep on going! It is expensive and so time consuming. But you have the talent and personality to reach much higher!! ❤ i haven't been on my fb groups lately but i will get back on them and recommend your channel all over
Thanks for sharing how you made the paints match. I think I need lessons in color theory. 😂 The vibrancy and lines in the thick paint pour are incredible and like that you had to leave some negative space on it. Very much a New Mexico vibe. The thinner paint made a pretty painting too but I prefer the second one. Thanks for this series. ❤
Well, I cannot believe how beautiful this is using house paint as your medium, obviously Im new to this, so I am learning a lot from your channel. Keep doing you.
Garrick, definitely love the house paint pour. In my opinion, the premixed looks messy and I didn’t like it. Thank you for the drying tips, appreciate you 🥰
You did it again, my friend. You consistently show me exactly why I love you and your work so much! You truly care about spreading this beautiful medium and the joy it brings to so many. The results of both pours yielded much useful information! Chef's kiss 10/10
I am new to your channel and I am addicted😂 I love how you teach I love your art technique. I love your quirkiness and your editing… Obviously I just love your channel. Keep doing you boo
Hey Garriick. Loved your experiments. Super informative. I do my straight or ring pours with 60/40 house paint and us floetrol. Works really well and flowes nicely. I'd love to see a bloomswipe video and how to get lots of movement into it. Thanks for all you do ❤❤❤
Anothet great experiment. I had that breaking up with paints when I first started. It was also with ready to pour paints. At the time I thought it was because I was mixing some ready to pour with some I made myself. Never did find out. Thanks for sharing!
Very informative. Love it when you guys do “comparisons” like this. I always struggle with the layering in terms of opacity, so all videos comparing layering options are appreciated. Thanks again!
Paige man this is a opacities is a loaded one because I've found you can break a lot of "rules" playing with these but every technique has its quirks when it comes to layering. I'll have to think on how i can present this info to you guys.
I just get confused about the general rules in terms of interferences, metallics, iridescents, transparents and semi-transparents, and opaque in relation to where best to place in order for the colors to show through. My brain has a hard time with this for some reason.
This was super informative. Thank you. Different "Levels"? My mind went to Led Zeppelin "If the Levee Breaks". No idea why that happened. Hmm. Anyway, Amsterdam Pearl Straight Pour please!😊 Thank you!
I really enjoy your experimental videos, you definitely save us both time and money by doing these. Another artist I follow does a lot of informative videos and experiments, The Left Brained Artist (hope it was ok to give David a plug here) Looks absolutely amazing

Garrick i just found you. Love your personality and trying to get in touch with my artistic side to do fun things with my six year old 😊Trying to make puffy paint that like frosting type of paint without spending a fortune. Would you say impasto? Or something else? Thanks so much!
Hey there!! Yes get in touch with your wild side haha. But yes impasto may work as well as modeling paste (you can tint this), heavy gloss cell medium. Are you looking to pipe the paint?
Garrick ….love those colours!❤ I have a very important question to ask you about the house paint…?? Does it smell…im just starting pouring I’m 76 and I’m learning but I’m scare to get the house paint. Thanking you in anticipation of your reply. 😍🥰❤️❤️👏🏼👏🏼🇬🇧🇬🇧🐶🐶
Hi Garrick , I just poured my first vase and it came out beautiful. I wish I could show you. I would love for you to tell me what you think. What you think I can do differently to make it better. You are my teacher. God sent you to me. Thank you Jesus.
Awww big hugs! God definitely has a way of using others or bringing someone specific into our lives! May his love always surround and comfort you!!! Painting is my safe place and truly blessed to have it as an outlet. Shoot me an email so I can see your vase.
I would love for you to do an experiment with untainted house paint doing the same thing… Like I said, I’m new to your channel maybe you’ve already done it
🚨LAST CALL!! I will do two more experiments before I wrap up this mini series... WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SEE?
I’d love to see a comparison of Pearl and/or cloud recipes.

Wow, I’m totally amazed how you know in your head what you should use to match a paint… Awesome job

So informative!! Love your experiments and they really do provide inspiration! Would you consider floetrol with housepaint vs water? So curious.... 😊🎉
Hey Nancy! I have painted with both combinations. They work perfrctly fine together. What technique are you referring to?
@GarrickBrownArtStudio I was specifically thinking of straight pours using housepaint mixed with floetrol instead of water.
Can you please do another cloud pour, I’m struggling with this technique
I sure can. What are you struggling with Myra?
Omg, you replied back!!! Of course consistency. But since I've been watching you over grown fond on the straight pour.
