I love your work. Your videos. You seem like a real cool guy. But I also think that if you are giving guitar lessons it would go like this. "Okay you all brought your guitars today guys. it's going to need strings. I'm going to show you a few ways I do the strings. Next the tuning. I'm going to show you how to tune the guitar." And then you play a really lovely Weisse etude. Then " Ok! Go home and have fun with your guitar, experiment and relax . My next guitar video is going to come out on Tuesday I'll see you then. " Lol
Um. You get crazy cells no matter what you use. I get about 90% less. You don't use silicon or anything like that. What am i missing? Technique. Whatever the case... A lot. Peace

@@GarrickBrownArtStudio well i recently watched your video on various kinds of pillows. From thicker ones to none at all. That was a bit eye opening and I'll try the one with none at all later.
My lack of understanding comes with this maybe lengthy description. I'm not clear on fluid dynamics i guess. Whether its a bloom or a swipe I'm not clear on the base, the colors and the CA in a few different ways. You don't use additives like silicone in your work that I've noticed. But you get definite clear cell development with the separating lines or lacing being very distinct and stable. So I'm trying to understand the role and conditions of the three layers. I believe the base layer wants to be thicker and the purpose for the most part is to allow the color level to flow out. If I understand right it should be slightly thicker than the color level. It seems like it's done across to me from various sources that the color level should be somewhat thinner than the base.i don't know if that means the color layer wants to float on the base or sink into it to some degree. I realize that the density or weight I guess of any particular paint determines how much it sinks. But how much does this viscosity affect that. So after the color layer you'll use what you call the cell activator. It's frequently a paint like an Amsterdam titanium white or oxide black. If I'm right those pigments are metal based so they're dense and heavy. How does viscosity play into creating cells in the color layer? I guess what I'm asking is how all three layers should interact to get results more like yours.? The cells that I get tend to be small and flimsy and as the pain dries they tend to bleed together and disappear. Yours are very distinct as far as separation goes. Does the base layer being a dense paint tend to support the color layer and keeping it from sinking too much into it? Is that what's desirable and then sometimes you'll say that the color layer might be mixed two to one medium to paint but then the CA might be mixed as much as four to one medium to paint. How does the relative density to viscosity in the cell activator affect cell development? Does that even make any sense? By the way I have watched a great many of your videos especially where you talk about mixing paint. This is just also new to me as I've been a subtractive Carver sculpture all my life and a bit afraid of pain because pigment and light theory have been hard for me to understand despite having looked into it pretty hard about three times in my life lol
