  • @vintagesportscardfinds964
    @vintagesportscardfinds964 Год назад +2

    And this is why as a sports card collector, you need to sell your cards before you die. I know it's tough but your relatives will give it away to the first person for 30 or 40 bucks to make room in the garage. You should go back and get those people some money because if that's a complete 72 set it's worth some big money and anything with Mickey Mantle is worth money. There has to be a few thousand dollars worth of cards there and if you start grading them forget about it.

    Wow...stuff like that never happens to me. That Willie Mays all-star card you have is worth good money if its in good shape. Definitely get it graded even if you think it'll only get a 3 or 4. That card comes from the 1961 "high numbers". Topps put cards out in several series back then and the final series is always hard to find. The 1961 high numbers may be the rarest. Raw common cards in decent shape sell for $30-40 on eBay. That Willie Mays all-star would probably sell for at least $100 if its a 4 or 5. Its worth WAY MORE if its a 7 or higher. Maybe thousands if its 8 or higher. I'm so jealous! Nice find man...

      @Swoop187OG187 3 года назад +1

      @@MadchenLear I would say even raw this collection could fetch 10k+... I mean depending on the grades some of those cards could get over 10k individually.. If this kid gets PSA 8's or higher the sky is the limit... I mean if someone came to me with that collection and wanted 10k that wouldn't be out of the realm of possibilities and I would probably pay it if there were a handful of high grade cards in that lot.... Either way I don't think the kid even knows what he has. Sure he may be familiar with some of the names but the way he's handling the cards and approaching this find it's clear to me that he has limited knowledge and experience with cards - let alone vintage.

      Yeah I sent them out. I got the first batch back and there is an update link in the description. The other 2 batches are in the grading stage so hopefully those videos will be up in the new year. Thanks for watching.

      Nah, the people selling do not want to be bothered with the hassle to turn that cardboard into money. All of the labor to turn that into money is on him. So it's his money.

      @@rubenintheshop1273 of course...not a high dollar raw card but definitely worth getting graded. Highly overlooked hall of fame player. Also...just thought I should mention something. There should be no rush to get these graded....I know everyone is in the comments is excited for you...but grading is expensive. Take the time to learn about the grading process and maybe research each card to find the implied value. Hopefully I'm not getting too preachy...but these vintage cards are getting harder and harder to find in good shape...so it's worth taking your time. The good thing about vintage cards is that they aren't subject to the modern attention span. Anyway...good luck.

    Take all the big vintage names that do not have creases...including the 60's Mays' and send to PSA. You'll probably make 400-600 times your money.
