And this is why as a sports card collector, you need to sell your cards before you die. I know it's tough but your relatives will give it away to the first person for 30 or 40 bucks to make room in the garage. You should go back and get those people some money because if that's a complete 72 set it's worth some big money and anything with Mickey Mantle is worth money. There has to be a few thousand dollars worth of cards there and if you start grading them forget about it.

Wow...stuff like that never happens to me. That Willie Mays all-star card you have is worth good money if its in good shape. Definitely get it graded even if you think it'll only get a 3 or 4. That card comes from the 1961 "high numbers". Topps put cards out in several series back then and the final series is always hard to find. The 1961 high numbers may be the rarest. Raw common cards in decent shape sell for $30-40 on eBay. That Willie Mays all-star would probably sell for at least $100 if its a 4 or 5. Its worth WAY MORE if its a 7 or higher. Maybe thousands if its 8 or higher. I'm so jealous! Nice find man...

@@MadchenLear I would say even raw this collection could fetch 10k+... I mean depending on the grades some of those cards could get over 10k individually.. If this kid gets PSA 8's or higher the sky is the limit... I mean if someone came to me with that collection and wanted 10k that wouldn't be out of the realm of possibilities and I would probably pay it if there were a handful of high grade cards in that lot.... Either way I don't think the kid even knows what he has. Sure he may be familiar with some of the names but the way he's handling the cards and approaching this find it's clear to me that he has limited knowledge and experience with cards - let alone vintage.

But I been seeing people talking about the no period error cards and I have even seen some of these cards on EBay I guess trying to be sold. Some at a pretty high value. Why didn’t u record buying the cards. I got a deal like this where I paid $50 for some cards . There was 4 Walter Payton rookies right off the bat. There was about 20 sets of 1970-1982 Football amazing cards about 3 of each card was a amazing find dreamed about finds like this and it finally happened great find man.
You have some solid 70s rookie cards Munson Roger S OJ Winfield Fisk. The early 70s basketball cards of hall of fame players. I would get them definitely get them psa graded. Great find, before sending out, look at the centering of the cards, if they are off center, it effects the grading in a big way. You should contact PSA and see if they will give you a group pricing rate.

psa 9 is about 10-15 percent of the same card as a PSA 10 FYI. there are psa guide lines for bulk submission , and they would even grade a sealed pack as a single card ,a unique submission
Ruben when it comes to such a valueable collection people are gonna hate dammed if you do ans dammed if you dont there are some amazing pieces of history there that you should get slabbed to save them plus thier value will increase too id love to be a part of such a fun group of cards id be glad to help you psa may not be the best for every card but they do offer bulk subs and quick turnaround too..i dont where your located but like here in columbus we have grading service card shops who would guide you in what to graded as well look me up if youd like honest help to go started on it
Yeah and I'm hearing guys say 8 months to a year turnaround time frame on getting your cards back and 40 to50 bucks per card just not worth these days until it comes back to the $8 dollar per card but that was sending in bulk amount of cards at one time !!!

There should be no rush to get these graded....I know everyone is in the comments is excited for you...but grading is expensive. Take the time to learn about the grading process and maybe research each card to find the implied value. Hopefully I'm not getting too preachy...but these vintage cards are getting harder and harder to find in good shape...so it's worth taking your time. The good thing about vintage cards is that they aren't subject to the modern attention span. Anyway...good luck.
