That was a lot of cards for $80. What a great deal and always a lot of fun to sort through. I love the Nolan Ryan cards! He is my favorite player, always the card I am looking for. Thanks for sharing the collection.
U don't want to get sucked into the junkwax addiction, you will eventually fill your lovely home with ugly pictures of washed up ball players eventually you might get buried alive in Chris Sabo rc cards
You will be lucky to get 1/2 of your money back. You didn’t really get ripped off because you had fun going through them. More sentimental value than anything.
That is considering the condition of these cards too because they look pretty rough but if you don’t buy the lots you don’t find the gems I’d say best card in the whole lot worth maybe 6 bucks
Good stuff Jon! Really fun to watch you dig through this. I can only imagine what filth and terrifying disease you brought into your home when that collection passed the threshold. Take care!
I think it’d be a blast going through all that, I’ve been keeping my eyes out for something like this. Would be very interested in the Bledsoe rookies if your selling.
I have a huge unsorted collection that I'm currently going through for that reason. I don't care about a card's value, I enjoy collecting and looking at what I have.
$80 you really can't get hurt. Very few activities, that bring you joy, cost $80. I'm sure you will easily make you money back especially if the sets are complete.
That Upper Deck set was a Mc Donald's set that you. The Upper Deck logo is the shape of the Mc Donald's Gold Arches. You could have gotten them at the time from Mc D's. My step father worked at Mc D's at that time and brought me the cards, so I had the complete set. And you can buy the complete set as well, Upper Deck did do a factory set for them.
The 1990-91 Pro Set Soccer have rookie cards of Alan Shearer (All time Premier League Top Scorer), Roy Keane (Manchester United legend) and Ian Wright (Arsenal legend)! Good luck!
man. great pick up man. I am a huge TTMer, I would of jumped all over that deal. Thanks for sharring. Loved the variety. The vintage baseball was my fave
Those baseball cards are all in my personal collection. My goal is to acquire more true vintage cards this year (50's, 60's & early 70's). I will sacrifice the condition of cards for the cards themselves.
If that's what I think, the pro set soccer packs are English League and you can get a card of Vinnie Jones who played in the league and later went on to act in, among other movies, Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
I think you made a great buy....Just in volume you did well and all the sets are great value. Im hooked on buying collections and going forward im cutting back on new stuff and looking for more like this. Nice older cards and i hope you do well in the auctions
About $25 in total value, and now you have a huge lot of junk cards, boxes and totes to get rid of. I have boxes of this stuff and have tried to give it away, and no one will take it.
Awesome find at a yard sale!!! I am hoping to come across some sport cards like that at a yard sale!!! Seems like a win - win!!! Great time looking through random cards looking for treasures...any Michael Jordan card is awesome...loved all the Nolan Ryan cards..PC Nolan Ryan...been collecting since 1989- 1999 went to college...now my son age 10 is really into mostly baseball cards...but got back into...love your channel!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!
I have felt the pain of this I had the coleco vision console and had like 200 dollars worth the games and all the add on's and I had it put away. My wife found it and sold it all for 15 dollars this was back in the 80's but to say the least I was not happy.
Upperdeck McDonald's basketball. The entertainment value of that many cards is worth $80. Maybe there's a Montana or monk rookie in the 81 topps football.
I found a giant lot of about 2000 cards at flea market. Guy wanted 8 I got them for 5. Had montana rookie, monk rookie, ozzie Newsome rookie, many 2nd , 3rd ,4th year cards of pistol pete, dr.j, robert Parrish, tiny Nate Archibald rookie and a walter Payton rookie. Paid pennies a piece for each card. 2nd best ballcard find of my life besides a jordan collection I paid $60.00 for and had almost 800 Jordan's! 88 fleet, tons of 90s inserts, finestrefractory, I couldn't believe it. Good buy though some nice cards.,
Thanks for the look! The Upper Deck basketball "set" was a 92-93 McDonalds set. You may note the McDonalds arched 'M' in the hologram on the back of the card. Look for Shaq's rookie.
@11:24, was that an error card? It says "Bruce Isaac," when it should say "Isaac Bruce"??? All the other cards have the first name first, then the last name... WEIRD!
Looks like a decent pickup. My biggest concern at buying up huge lots like these is storage and personal preference in collecting. I'm not sure what your storage situation looks like, but you seem to have a way to move these cards without issue. Of course, I love the vintage stuff. The 70s and some 60s baseball were my favorite from your pickup.
loved the video Jon i had to go back an watch this one i didnt even know you made this i was fighting covid at this time as was my brother he passed away 5 day later on the 26th of august i have always loved your videos and your intro takes me back to the 80s like saturday moning cartoons in the 80s thank you for all you do you are very cool guy and very entertaining thank you brother in cards and may god bless you always
Ahh the single screwdowns. Remember digging that little screw out of the carpet? Man i bought alot of those to replace the 4screws only to then be replaced by the 1touch. Probably should've spent my money on higher end packs instead. Congrats on the Yaz man. Looking forward to seeing it.
Would u sale that bonds rookie an how about the cal Ripken cards my brothers favorite player growing up still a huge Orioles fan would love to get him some cool Ripken cards for his birthday but if not can I make an offer on the bonds rookies
I think most of us would have jumped on that lot as well. It may have been exhausting going through all of it and separating all those singles, but what fun. Great price!
I have been trying to find the value of my 1997 Pinnacle Xpress Frank Thomas Melting Pot card. there were only 500 made and all the ones I see for sale are just sample cards. Nobody is selling the original cards? You seem pretty knowledgeable any idea of the value say its an 8 or 9 grade
One of the Joe Montana cards you have could have an error. Cant remember which year it was but saw it when you were flipping threw the cards. Great find and thanks for the video.
As usual you haves walked into a valley and come back with a pot (s) of gold! You got your money’s worth and then some. Congratulations and thanks for sharing!!
On the bright side you got $20 bucks in totes and card boxes.
That was a lot of cards for $80. What a great deal and always a lot of fun to sort through. I love the Nolan Ryan cards! He is my favorite player, always the card I am looking for. Thanks for sharing the collection.
That’s a pretty cool find. Always fun going through old cards, that alone makes it worth it
Why can't I ever run across stuff like this at garage sales 😵😵
I know, right?
U don't want to get sucked into the junkwax addiction, you will eventually fill your lovely home with ugly pictures of washed up ball players eventually you might get buried alive in Chris Sabo rc cards
Dominik Hasek is in that 91 hockey set, I think Nick Lidstrom might be in there too
should be a Brodeur with value
I love that wood 70s paneling Barry Bonds Rc , reminds me of the late 70s when i was 1 year old and shag carpeting and everything woodgrain
I love the Jagr Rookie. I have so many of them. I can't believe you don't know more about hockey Rookies and you live in Pittsburgh!!!
You will be lucky to get 1/2 of your money back. You didn’t really get ripped off because you had fun going through them. More sentimental value than anything.

@morelews5290 not true cuz in 20 years they will be worth more
Good stuff Jon! Really fun to watch you dig through this. I can only imagine what filth and terrifying disease you brought into your home when that collection passed the threshold. Take care!
Filthy jon!!!
You got a really good deal on the collection, and I feel it was definitely worth $80. I'm guessing the collection was worth $200 or more.
Cool come up and great conent!
I think it’d be a blast going through all that, I’ve been keeping my eyes out for something like this. Would be very interested in the Bledsoe rookies if your selling.
I've got a few Bledsoe find me on FB I'm from Ms
80 Topps is Ottis Andersons Rookie Card. I love picking up collections like that. 80 bucks for hours if entertainment, money well spent in my opinion.
Piazza and mark grace are the big ones out of 92 fleer. It was acually a rare set.
the Update set was rare not base set
Great video, like always. Love your channel
Nice pick up Jon. Thanks for the video.
I know I'm crazy when I'm more into organizing that many cards than actually seeing if theyre worth anything.
I have a huge unsorted collection that I'm currently going through for that reason. I don't care about a card's value, I enjoy collecting and looking at what I have.
@LinkRocks Same, I love looking at the various basketball cards I collected a kid and reminiscing on the memories of the card and the player.
Every one of these types of finds has McDonalds UD basketball. They must’ve printed infinity of those.
A ton of 88 Donruss and 91 Fleer baseball? Sounds like my entire childhood, lol.
Love the 79 and 81 football
$80 you really can't get hurt. Very few activities, that bring you joy, cost $80. I'm sure you will easily make you money back especially if the sets are complete.
those "special set" basketball cards with the Dominique Wilkins you have showing were cards that were distributed through McDonalds in the early 90s
Awesome collection, I have never seen the Action Packed Jordan!
"I'm not real keen on vintage football" as he casually strolls right past a nice Walter Payton. Lol.
Pretty cool buy!!
That Upper Deck set was a Mc Donald's set that you. The Upper Deck logo is the shape of the Mc Donald's Gold Arches. You could have gotten them at the time from Mc D's. I had alot of them.even though I didn't go to McDonald's unlike other oddballs I got from companies.
Definitely a deal even had some McDonald’s upper deck mixed in there. The ‘87 Bonds looked great
What’s a comfortable price to pay for common or base Griffey jrs?
Just all depends on which set they’re from. A lot of base Griffey’s you should be able to find in quarter boxes at card shows
The Action Packed WWF undertaker ft Paul Berer is a sick card to have in the collection
I just got a lucky collection on FB Marketplace! I feel ya when you get a deal you can't refuse. Sweet finds
The 1990-91 Pro Set Soccer have rookie cards of Alan Shearer (All time Premier League Top Scorer), Roy Keane (Manchester United legend) and Ian Wright (Arsenal legend)! Good luck!
Why is the Issac Bruce card the only one in that set that has last name on to and first on bottom?
I enjoyed this video. That lindros is a second year card. Im a new subscriber. Gonna have to go back and watch some other videos
Thanks for subscribing Paul! Happy to have you.
Thanks for sparing us, lol. Enjoyed the recap.
man. great pick up man. I am a huge TTMer, I would of jumped all over that deal. Thanks for sharring. Loved the variety. The vintage baseball was my fave

Fun to one Great deal for $80
I see a new photo for your card of you swimming among cards. 😂
If that's what I think, the pro set soccer packs are English League and you can get a card of Vinnie Jones who played in the league and later went on to act in, among other movies, Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
I didn't know that and will now spend the next half hour or so listening to some. I don't know if I want it to be great or awful.
Hey guys I've got a 2020 Bowman Chrome Matos number. 25 it's the orange Mojo what do y'all think that's worth
It's the own card Auto
It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it....that said maybe 2 pennies and a long burrrrp
Score for sure!
You CRUSHED it lol OMG
Great score!
Nice cards! 👍
Good score. I like the Tim Raines and Harold Baines rookies. 2 under the radar ones that should go up
Deion Sanders rookie card. Cool video and cool card
I think you made a great buy....Just in volume you did well and all the sets are great value. Im hooked on buying collections and going forward im cutting back on new stuff and looking for more like this. Nice older cards and i hope you do well in the auctions
The smell of old cards brings me back
13:28 those were from mcdonalds set from 1993. You can tell because of the M hologram on the back
Nice kindling.

Cool Jim Abbott RC card!! Congrats on finding some cool players.
Have a great Sunday Jon!
The basketball cards are from a McDonald's basketball set. Hope you find a Montana or Monk RC in the 81 set
I have felt the pain of this I had the coleco vision console and had like 200 dollars worth the games and all the add on's and I had it put away. My wife found it and sold it all for 15 dollars this was back in the 80's but to say the least I was not happy.

I believe the UD basketball was issued by McDonald's restaurants i think the hologram on the back of card is in the shape of a M
Thanks for the look! The Upper Deck basketball "set" was a 92-93 McDonalds set. You may note the McDonalds arched 'M' in the hologram on the back of the card. Look for Shaq's rookie.
The man needs to learn other sports.
I got lucky with one of those novelty player set... Got a 1/200 signed frank thomas card
Decent mix of cards. Congrats on the pickup.
Love doing these finds myself ! The UD promo cards are from McDonald’s.
I had a lot of those but those I never went to Micky D's to get unlike other oddball sets
How many soccer packs were there and do you still have them?
Probably around 15-20 packs
@@thepastisalive looking to sell them?
value of it all?
Those basketball cards are upper deck McDonald’s, there are collectors out there that like them
@11:24, was that an error card? It says "Bruce Isaac," when it should say "Isaac Bruce"??? All the other cards have the first name first, then the last name... WEIRD!
Some of those 90 Donruss with no . After the inc on back are selling for lots on eBay check your cards out for the error esp. the Griffey jr
Update...not worth anything now, of course when I find a bunch of them
Nice collection to pick up for $80, I love buying mystery collections without seeing anything and sorting through them

Nice haul. At first I thought you might only break even, but the singles near the end of the video made this well worth it!
Wow, what a score!
The upper deck basketball you weren't sure about is the McDonald's version. The hologram one the back is the McDonald's logo

The HHOF RCs in 1991-92 Score are Lidstrom and Hasek. Amonte, Leclair and Konstantinov are other decent RCs from that year.
Holy crap!!!!!
