i am so excited for the next part of this video series like words cannot discribe the hatred i feel for the reboot of horrible histories nor can they describe my love for the original series and cast. a suggestion i have is you could watch bbc ghosts and then compare it to the american version? its the horrible histories cast and the US version feels so gimmicky 😭😭

@jessmorris8920 Nah, the US version is pretty great ngl. It fleshes out ghosthood and the “second death”/being sucked off (Hetty’s, the American version of Fanny, husband appears a ghost, and he gets sent down to hell. It’s wild, I loved it even though it lasted 2 seconds). The American Captain, Isaac (an American Revolutionary) is more openly gay (last episode of season 1, he explicitly says he likes Nigel, a British Officer who he was implied to have a crush on even in life). Jokes can land even when the viewer is not American. Love the relationships between the characters, romantic (e.g Nigel and Isaac) or not (e.g Thorfinn (American Robin) and Sasappis (American Mary)). Jay (American Mike) is great, and his eventual friendship with Pete (American Pat) is adorable. Though the first 3 episodes are pretty slow before it gets good, however imo it doesn’t get really good until around the 8 episode mark. @caligeur I hope you don't see entire show is bad just by watching the first episode. I feel like if you make a video comparing the two ghosts you should do the entire show instead of just doing episode by episode like the 2015 reboot.

This is such a good video. I always had an odd feeling about the reboot, but I always thought it was because I was upset about the new cast. It's really nice to see all its flaws put into words like this - it's definitely helped me understand why they're so awful 😭
The new cast was definitely one of the worst changes to the show - not having them in it just shows how much they contributed to it being good since they're all good actors, all very funny, and are good writers too
