Thank you for the detailed breakdown. I haven't pulled out my shifter box yet, but something is definitely broken.
Wait.. you actually own a Corrado!? That's amazing! I love the Corrado- it's one of my dream cars. Nice job!
Yup, I've owned it for a long time; I still dig it! Thanks for watching, Ryan!
Will have to do this same repair very soon on mine... MAny thanks!
WOW! You work on ANY scale vehicle!!!
Thanks Alan; yea, I needed to get it done since 2nd gear was no longer there... lol. Thanks for writing!
If you take it that far apart and find its broken or a part NA just get a MKIV shifter and put it in. Even a full length one shifts better than the stock g60 with a short through kit and new bushings. Mine was sent out all customized short shift kit and rebuilt . 3 years later it broke again I went to a short shift MKIV and its amazing!! But good video of pulling it apart.
I have my golf 4 tdi 1999/01 and have the same Shifter than this corrado. I want to upgrade to 02j but the cables are short in 3 inches
Nice work!
Thank you & thanks for watching the video!
You truly helped me out on installing my replacement shifter due to me breaking mine when I first got my car but my question to you is did it ever work and if not just do like I did and get a replacement one from whoever may sell Corrado parts like I did.
Yes it worked. That particular part you can not buy anywhere as far i know. Unless you have an outlet? Im glad ot helped you out!
@@Pedal2Metal_on_RUclips I'll follow you on Instagram so you can see my progress!
Could you fabricate more of the lever pieces for sale. Just buy the wife another one of those cutting boards. I Need one for my dieselgeek lever. I’m serious. Awesome video!

Wait whaaa...
No video of it installed 😟
I was wondering if it fixed your prob?
Spoiler alert: this one's a cliffhanger
Nice work on the nylon guide
Thank you for the video! I replaced all the bushings on my 1990 but the slider on the lever is gone. Any chance you can make me one?? I'll pay you!!! 😅
I just got a yellow 1990 g60 also and I don't even have the black rubber bushing on the back of side of the shifter lol
This corrado Shifter have oem shortshifter? From factory?
Not sure I understand your Q... It's a totally stock 1990 shifter, not shortened.
My shifter does not go into any gear, it's stuck in 3rd but the shifter moves around freely. What could this be?
MK4 GOLF 2.O
Broken shift cable it sounds to me.
@@Pedal2Metal_on_RUclips Thanks.
Get a used MKIV shifter from a junk yard with the cables, easy fix.
Anyone know the references of these pieces? thanks
I have a link above for the bushing kit that I used. if there are other numbers you might need let me know.
Reaches for dremel tool...
