I did it with my son with Hilton in Paris and IHG in Tbilisi, Georgia. I messaged the hotel ahead of time and said that I may not make it but he was registered on the reservation. No problems both times.

My my personal gold card af just hit at $250, while I like most of the new ways to migrant the af, the main reason I am going to cancel within the following 30 days is that I am tire of the monthly credits on TOO MANY OF MY CARD. I have decided that I am only going to manage 5 cards with monthly credits as its a way of doing business these days.

In terms of the GOH award, it’s seems something similar happened to me, where I was gifted the award, I called in the apply it to a stay I already had booked. I finished out that stay, and the benefits were recognized, but I still have a GOH award in my account. I’m planning on applying that to a stay at the Andaz in Tokyo that I have booked

In addition to pooling, Hilton also lets you transfer points direct from one member to another (no pool required). Both times I’ve done it, it was instantaneous.

FYI, Wyndham does allow you to put any name when making an award booking. Surprised you guys didn't talk about Choice hotels, especially since they bought Radison (Americas).

42:42 You don't need to call, I did it recently, I added myself as a second guest, and they were able to find me, however I needed to give a name of the gifter.

I don't think the premium seats are any more than extra legroom as I believe every seat will be getting a holder for phone/iPad and probably power, but we'll see. I am most disappointed because they are taking away the comfortable seats that are still left on the 737-700s. After they change the seats on all the 700s, I don't think I'll be able to fly the airline at all.

Interesting how other issuers don’t make you opt in for monthly credits 🤔

Love your videos/podcast, but would love something shorter. 1 hour+ is hard to find time to commit to.

@@agasque Totally understand. We've found the long form to really appeal to a lot of people, but I know there are only so many hours in a day. A couple of thoughts/suggestions:
      1) We publish a weekly coffee break episode every week on Tuesdays. Those episodes cover a single topic in 20 minutes or less (or your money back).
      2) As you'll hear in this week's episode, we're breaking out Card Talk to be is own separate weekly episode to talk about just that single card. I expect most of those to be 3-10 minutes long.
      3) You can adjust the speed of playback. At 2x speed, I still find our voices easily understandable and it takes half the time to listen.
      4) We keep the timestamps in the show notes, so if you don't want to dedicate an hour all at once, you can easily go to the timestamps and skip around or come back to where you left off.
All that said, not every medium is right for every person, so know that you've always got the blog and our Facebook group as other places to get miles and points info.
      Thanks,
      Nick
