I got a taste of the Executive Lounge at a Double Tree in The City of London area of London. It was complimentary even though I’m not even Diamond, just Gold. It was really nice as they serve decent food all day. They have a fast track program to Diamond from now through March 2025, staying 18 nights in 90 days. I have a few work trips and a vacation that should get me there.

I've been mostly a Hilton guy. I wouldn't call myself a loyalist, but in many occasions a Hilton is conveniently located and available with points wherever I'm traveling to. For me, it's been a little bit of a struggle to find a Hyatt available with points. 4 out 10 times at least I try booking a Hyatt I get this Not Available with points message which is terribly frustrating

Love this episode! Caveat my comments with the fact that I have Hilton Diamond but not Hyatt Globalist. I recently stayed at the Park Hyatt NYC, Zurich and Milan as well as the WA Amsterdam and Conrad St. James (London). For me there was no comparison in terms of experience at the luxury properties. It must be said, there was absolutely nothing wrong with my stays at the PHs. The design of the PH Milan was immaculate. But at WAs and Conrads I have always felt like a welcomed/wanted guest (i.e. not transactional). I absolutely love Hilton, especially overseas. I feel as though Hyatt and PHs in particular overhyped and only talked about given the value. Really looking forward to the SLH/Hilton integration in the upcoming months. Great content as always Uncle Luke!

Agree on PH Zurich. I stayed using a Cat 7 FNC before they created Cat 8, and I was a bit underwhelmed. Everything was "fine", the Globalist welcome amenities and steward greeting in my mini-suite (upgrade), the breakfast buffet, all perfectly nice, but a bit sterile and impersonal, and far from worthy of a category increase. The Thompson Madrid was far more welcoming and enjoyable, well worth their category bump from 4 to 5.
