    9:07 Intake runners are moving from Long runners to short runners in the intake manifold. Can be tuned to smooth that dip.

      Yes sir. Corruption nailed that. Long to short runners. If you haven’t got a tuner yet.. if you plan to really mod in the future. Go hp tuners. If you really want diablosport. Just holler. Lol. Letting ya know some future advice so you don’t double spend like myself. (Just a personal opinion tho)

    392 is seriously under rated because of the 6.2 and 6.1 putting out insane numbers but the 6.4 is not molded and has serious potential

    That thing sounds mean and great numbers!! My 01 M6 Z28 only made 324rwhp/341rwtrq stock so I knew you would be waaaaaay ahead of the old LS1.
    I did find a detail about that dip FYI.
    "the dip in the 4000-5000 rpm range is the active intake manifold switching over from long runner design to short runner configuration."

    Dyno shop that doesn’t understand why there is a dip, don’t let them touch your car!!! The 392 has variable timing and a manifold that switches over runner lengths.

  • @Johnathon_Jackson
    @Johnathon_Jackson 2 года назад

    @ScatPackSteele bro leave the throttle body alone. If you aren’t going to add fuel (injector) there is no need to put on a bigger throttle body. When you go change air/fuel ratios without running you’re asking for trouble. I’d wait to do any mods that will change the behavior of the motor until you are ready to tune the car. Good numbers though!

    This is not “Stock” numbers….its sounds like there is a custom exhaust or at least some exhaust deletes, and as well as an aftermarket CAI, with possibly a Tune already….thats not stock lol

    • @SrtKoke
      @SrtKoke Год назад

      Muffler deletes maybe add 1-2hp and cai maybe 5-10hp if u lucky so just take off 5-10 whp and you’ll get ur stock numbers if he actually has that done

      @@SrtKoke I edited my post to reflect exactly what I was tryna say, didnt go in enough depth, figured it wouldve been implied….but custom exhaust, even just deletes, with a CAI and Tune, you would make 440-450s, if u make 420-430 completely stock.

      Edit: But i was just lettin ppl know that he’s saying these are “stock” numbers, but that he’s actually not “stock”, so dont expect to see these numbers without a couple mods already lmao

      They do, but they dont. They have limiters and only way to achieve a true 485 or above is to mod and tune. Stock Scats, no mods, only make 415-430.

    • @mr.boostang2064
      @mr.boostang2064 2 года назад +2

      @@nchargeny he doesn't need one, catch cans are only useful in DI engines, the 392 is a PI engine so any oil that goes through is immediately cleaned off by gas. Don't buy into the sells pitch.

    • @mr.boostang2064
      @mr.boostang2064 2 года назад +1

      @Scotty secretly loves Chryslers A catch can only helps DI engines by slowing down the carbon build up on the intake valves, it won't cure the issue but atleast it buys you more time. A PI engine has the injectors washing the intake valves with gas all the time so a catch can is not needed in this case.
      The theory for needing a catch can on a performance PI engine is because the blow by (oil mist) dilutes and lowers your fuels octane rating as it goes into the combustion chamber thus robbing you hp.
      This theory however falls apart when you realize that the amount of mist going into the combustion chamber is so small (1oz of oil is caught in a 5k miles oci) that the power lose is non-existent. For blow by to rob you of hp you would need to be burning 1qt of oil a week on a daily driven car. That much blow by would indicate a bad pcv, bad valve seals or worse, bad piston rings.
