Thunderbird or gmail multiply the amount of photos attached by about x10. So when you just send the 1.7Mb photo, the email tells you that you are sending 17Mb. What is going on and if this can be remedied?

Hi M8, its your gmail password it is asking for, i just moved from outlook 2007 to Thunderbird today. i am having trouble importing address book as stated above in my post, i hope someone can also help me. i hope this helps you .
One PC and one laptop in the same household. One device receives email (laptop), the other device (PC) does not. Both have the exact same Thunderbird settings. Gmail is the email on both devices. What is the problem ?
IMAP will mirror the inbox on multiple devices. However, the IMAP settings must be on ALL. If anyone is set to POP3, that will pull down the email to that device only, leaving nothing technically on the mail server for other devices to see.
I am trying to add 4 gmail accounts to Thunderbird. I get this message for anything over the initial account: "400. That’s an error. The server cannot process the request because it is malformed. It should not be retried. That’s all we know." This is when it tries to verify the password on each account addition.

When setting up the email, should the name be the same one as appears in the email service that was originally setup in (e.g. Hotmail, Gmail, etc)
If it's the Name field normally enter Person's Name or Accounts Your Company, Bookings Your Company if the companies has more than one email

From 3.10 to 3.40 you mention several times "you have been issued". Issued from where ?
The same as you've been using in web-mail etc. If you're dealing with a recently made, new account, you would have created one at that time.
