this piece is really nice, i only have one preference though. 30 seconds in and we have an absolute beautiful passage. Listening to it though I really just wish the measure at 0:47 had a ritardando, just so each and every had a little bit more impact
I got a superior at state solo and ensemble playing this solo and the judge was showing me picture of him and Philip smith together (he literally gave me no feedback but just to play a C# with 2 to be more in tune)
A nice addition to the trumpet repertoire. Phil knew his way around the instrument.
I know this is a trumpet solo but the piano part just gives me chills at 0:57

I played this at state solo and ensemble and my judge offered me a scholarship for his trumpet studio
Kevin Bailey must have done great. What an honor to hear from a judge
I played it at mine got a 98/100. Qualified for state. Let’s see how state goes. It’s in a week
