    Been there, did that. My mechanic and I did it in the engine bay. Removed all injectors and glow plugs. Had to extract everything using extraction tools and drill. What a disaster. We didn't have to change the head though. Change the crankcase filter too. Changed the timing chain tensioners while at it. Whre are you located? The dealers up in NY have no diesel mchanics. It's a good engine that was ruined with all the environmental attachments and the dripping cowl. I had to change the DPF and Catalytic Converter too. The door linkage on all of the doors too. The driverside headlight connector goes bad on all of the promasters gas and diesel. Every year the EGR and throttle body needs to be cleaned out due to all the exhaust gases being recirculated back into the engine. It would be nice to find a centrifical catch can for this engine.

      You forgot to mention what a nightmare is to service the electro-hydraulic shifter actuator assembly for the manual gearbox and extracting broken glow plugs. 😅

    It doesn’t actually take long to pull the drivetrain. The van was towed in to our shop with no fuel tubes and water sitting on the valve cover. After all these years they now released TSB on replacing the leaky cowl and resealing.

    Old but gold 👍 so this tool definitely works on the fiat ducato 3.0 ?? I thought iveco engine was ducato

      @@Elites-asthetic It worked pretty good after trimming it, because there is not much room around the injector

    UK the 3.0 ducato engine is an Iveco motor

    If an injector snapped off in the head would it be possible to drill out like a glow plug ?

    Good job. Is it the electro-pneumatic socket wrench that was key to the success ? Does this method work as good as or even better than the pneumatic or hydraulic extractors ?

      Walter Strohbeck hi, I just used air gun to speed things up, you can use regular wrenches or ratchets on this removal tool. I don’t have any other extracting tools to try which performs better.

    Have replaced a broken injector and a broken high-pressure tube, due to a leakage. The high-pressure pump don`t give any fuel and the engine will not start. There are low-pressure fuel running, but no ignition. How do I get it running? The OBD don`t show any failure.

    2015 promaster diesel p0263-00 cylinder 1 contribution balance. Am I looking at a injector issue. Advice???

    Do these injectors have copper washers?

      yes, and as far as I know all diesel injectors have a sealing washers.

    I have a 2015 Promaster diesel still under the drive train warranty with a failed glow plug the dealer wants to drill it out is that possible with the motor being installed in the van? This is the second time I've had a bad glow plug the first time at 26,000 miles they dropped the engine and put a new head on it. Need advice Thanks

      Yes it is possible with the engine in the van. The intake manifold must come out though. So you have more room to use the glow plug drill/removal tool kit.
      Just went though this ordeal last week.

      @@TDRAuto OK thanks it's going in Monday morning for the glow plug ,struts leaking and blower motor. I think they changed the head last time (28,000 miles) because #2 broke I also fell into the no o-ring injector TSB on pre 3-15 manufacture date diesel Promasters so they were probably all seized. Last week I made a plastic cover to divert the water that is infiltrating the engine bay so it rolls to the front side of the motor so far the injector valley has been dry but 40,000 miles has gone by since the head was done. FCA was great the first time around this time not so much. On your video you stated your replacing the head is that for seized glow plugs? Thanks

      I replaced the head due to all 4 injectors seized and rust build up. Vehicle was towed in without fuel tubes and with lots of sitting water around injectors and glow plugs as well. FCA finally released TSB on that windshield cowl leaking.

      Symptom/Vehicle Issue: Water Leak Under Hood. Cowl Screen Inspection And
      Replacement
      Discussion: A water leak from the cowl into the engine compartment can cause
      corrosion on bolts, glow plugs and components under hood. A warped or damaged
      cowl screen should be replaced and not resealed. See the below steps for detailed
      installation.
      > If replacing the windshield or reusing the cowl screen use new double
      sided tape. All the original tape must be removed from cowl screen and vehicle prior to
      applying new tape. Once new tape is applied to the cowl follow the below steps for re installation.

    Just to fill in even 3.6 v6 gas I had rotten intake manifold bolts ...had to drill it out two mid intake manifold bolts ... water salt dirt all in there . under the hood . Awful engineering
