That's an amazing tool for the filter, I just use a 1 gallon ziploc bag after you loosen the filter so when you turn it sideways it spills into the bag

I want to try this fix so I can see if it's just my compressor clutch but my clutch doesn't have those holes for removing the clutch. I wonder if there is any other way without removing the compressor.

Where do I get those bolts for the brackets that hold down the camshaft outside of mopar?

Check with Snao-On or Mac, they have , left handed extracter drill bits

I take the hose out between the turbo and the filter box so easy to get to the filter!!!

I just had this done and when I picked it up from dealer the engine doesn’t sound the same! Not even close, should I expect that?

had the passenger side exhaust manifold replaced less than 3 years ago and it happened again. The block itself gets warped as well Ive heard so its a recurring issue forever

I had the exact same issue with my 2015 Subaru Impreza and went two years without AC. I knew it worked when it was cold and it stopped working as soon as it heated up. The mechanic said he'd have to replace the compressor for about $1000. After watching this video, I spent about $30 on the two tools I needed. I removed one shim and now my AC works perfect! Thank you very much for this video. I really appreciate it!

Will this cause a Loss in Power??

I have the same issue with 2015 FXT. Recharged freon after flushing but still not resolve. Loud noise after AC turn on when car not used for atleast 24 hrs and also after a heavy rain. Overtime the issue with warm air begins when engine is idle for several minutes, example heavy trfc and outside temp is high at noon time, i start getting warm air. Interesting video and result, will try this and hope it is a permanent fix to the root cause. Compressor is 6 yrs old. Lets see how it goes.

THANK YOU! 2015 Impreza. As someone else mentioned, I used a paper clip to get the shims out. Also, don't fret if this doesn't work right away. The first test drive resulted in warm air after 11 minutes. Then, I stopped for about 15 minutes, then drove it again, and no more warm air! Less than $40 of tools and 30 minutes of time!

Thank you! Your video was so helpful! I ended up needing to do both banks when I did this job. I followed your steps to a T with the right bank. For the left bank, I kept the block in between the gears as I pulled them off and it made putting them back on much easier. If I do this again I’d try leaving the block on for the right bank when you pull the gears off to make putting them back in easier

What size socket is that ?

I went to 3 different shops and all 3 wanted to dig into my pockets for $2k. Amazing that "professionals" don't know about this fix. Or just want the quick cash to charge $2k for $150 compressor replacement which isn't needed. Criminals... Trust nobody. Thanks for the tip, you're saving people lots of 🤑 money...

Hello , appreciate your video !! thank you !! i believe the problem is coming from metals that do not expand and retract to heat in the same manner ... i have seen issues with head gaskets that are between an aluminum head , and a cast iron block ... Aluminum and cast iron do not react to heat in the same manner .... who will fail ?? the head gasket ... :-( the same thing applies to the manifold who is made in cast iron , and again the head which is aluminum ... possibly the bolts/studs are graded too high ( 10.9 grade ) when we should be using bolts/stude the will be a lower grade ( 8.8 grade or 6.8 grade) these bolts are less BRITTLE and will be harder to break since they are softer and more FORGIVING to the metals reactions to the heat .... just a thought ... ;-)

My almost brand new Charger RT just started doing this with less than 900 miles on it!!! WTH?? I'm wondering what good it does to have it fixed under warranty if the same weak studs are used? Are aftermarket studs available that are stronger? Maybe from Summit of Jegs?

I have a 2015 3500 that I bought in 2021 from a dealership and within a couple of days I noticed a leak in my driveway and I took it back to the dealer to check for leaks. A couple of days went by and I got in contact with my service writer he said my timing gear cover had a leak and it was a 24 hour job and that it would be $5500 dollars. I told him that I’m just bought the truck from them less than a week prior and I wasn’t paying for that. He said he would run it by the service manager and he’d get back to me. He called me later that day and said they’ll have it ready for me the following week, no cost to me. I was lucky! 😂I swear I was going to take it back to Ram and tell them to shove it. I already own my house. I’ll take the hit to my credit😂

Pretty sure it was a person on crack who decided to make this dang filter so ridiculously hard to get out! Or did they just start with the oil filter and build the engine around that?! *Appreciate the video-definitely some good tips to increase success in this process!

You know, everybody talks about the t-track and options of mounting stuff but no one… I mean no one has ever had a video actually demonstrating how they use the t-track for mounting. I like the tune and actually have one on order but the project m actually mounts gear on the outside… having all the t-track is great ‘if’ it’s actually usable. I’d love to see some real use of the t-track.

How can u tell if the manifold is broken? On mine the bolts broke of but whats making the sound is the heat shield can i just replace bolts and be done with it?

I used a large pair of Chanel locks to loosen the filter and it worked great and I hand tighten the new one back
