For many people, having this choice gets them into modern gaming without the ridiculous PCMR buy in costs seen in the current market. This option aids to getting them started. 🥰👍
Is sad that before one of the point of PCMR was that you can have a more power setup with the same cost of a console, now with a the console price you get peanuts.
For sure this is a great solution - I got the Series X and still rock my old 7th Gen gaming latop (with 1050ti) for older titles and the Series X for the new stuff. Gaming Pass Ultimate is the way of the future!
If I didn't already have a stronger PC I'd buy a Series S, great little machine for the money. If you pay MS a little fee you can unlock developer mode and install emulators, just store the games externally on an HDD which is fine for older games.
@@HalalHistory Yeah but you don't need anything faster for stuff up to the gen6 console era. Just plug a 4TBHDD with a cache in then -go download a tonne of stuff- legally rip your discs and carts onto the drive hehe and Bob's your mother's brother.

100 percent this is a great move, although with how cheap really nice Tvs are these days it would make more sense to stick with the couch/TV console set up and forego the desk, unless you only play FPS games and want that mouse and keyboard with high refresh rates.
Yea I use a monitor for my Xbox and the games I play the most are, fortnite, forza horizon 5, halo infinite, and minecraft sometimes. So have a desk with keyboard and mouse and being closer to the screen is great (although sometimes I connect it to the tv to play forza)
Series s is undeniable value. It’s essentially a 6500xt and a 3700x for 300 bucks! It’s offers nice 1080p performance and some light games can even get 1440p with a 4k example being ori and the will of the wisps. Don’t sleep on the series s , ridiculous value at 300 bucks
My conclusion was it’s basically a 8 core 3600 and a newer cut down 5500xt, it’s still a beast for the price tho and is the cheapest way to get into current gen gaming.
picked up a series s for the living room, would of preferred to get another pc in there but these gpu prices are insane so this will do for now, so far I am very impressed with the performance this thing has for the price
This is noice, I have never seen anyone build a PC with a gaming console, so this was something new. Honestly, if I had a Xbox 1, I would make a build like this, but I still have my Xbox 360 lmao. Good thing I got a PC😎😂
Just a tip, when selecting monitors, make sure it is compatible with consoles. I have a 1440p144hz ASUS monitor and a PS5. I have no way to actually use the 120hz capability of the PS5 with the monitor as it is not supported with consoles on the monitor. When connected to my Sony A90J tv, the PS5 works just fine but when connected to the monitor, it only works at 1080p60hz no matter the game. I have contacted support but they said there is no way of manually turning on 144hz no matter the name or make of the console. Also, if you play keyboard mouse, NOT controller think twice before going in for a console rather than a PC. I do play keyboard mouse and can’t play most games that I like as they aren’t on console(such as CS:GO or Valorant which only run on PCs)
I been using the Govee bars and light kit for a while now with the camera and it works perfectly. You definitely missed out on showing it off, maybe it was defective or you didn’t calibrate it.
