At 7:44 you mention "clean power" when talking about the inverter. Clean power could mean green (e.g. solar) or without noise. Many have reported that this inverter produces anything but clean power as it is a square wave (=harmonic noise). It can actually destroy sensitive electronics or cause a humming noise for fan motors etc. Just wanted to point this out. The good news is that they are coming out with a new and improved model in 2023 (400W) and it even has "Pure Sine Wave" written on it! That will provide clean power. Not the old 150W model...
Wow I never realized all the cool stuff ego has. You convinced me to buy the 2 stage snowblower. Now that big inverter has my interest. My wife is gonna ban me from watching you because after watching your videos I go spend money. Thanks for the video. Very informative. Keep em coming. 👍
I BOUGHT THE BEAST. WITH 2 7.5 batteries for 987.00 at RCPW. Batteries alone cost 700.00 so a real great deal. Bought for power outage for refrigerator. Will buy the solar panels.
Wow that’s a great deal Connie ! Thanks for sharing and being with us on the channel. I’ve got some videos coming up about solar but let me know how you do stay in touch and good luck
It will work with the 10 ah batteries. The reason why you don't see them often is because the cost of those batteries and they are relatively new. Right now the only people that have them is anyone who bought the 2 stage snow blower. But that power station will work with them.
Thank you for this informative video. I have recently purchased an EGO leaf blower and a Lawn Trimmer. I plan to buy the big inverter, which I think is a great piece of equipment for lighting in the event of a power failure. I would like your advice on a problem I have with an EGO Battery Pack that is not addressed in the EGO Battery manual. I have a new EGO 56V 2.5AH Battery Pack, bought two months ago with an EGO lawn trimmer. After the trimming was done on the lawn (September 20, 2022), I fully charged it and set it aside. So far, so good. The EGO Battery manual says that it is supposed to go to 30% after a month in storage, but as of November 5 , 2022 (well over a month), it still shows all 5 lines of FULL charge. It appears the BMS is not working to lower the battery pack to 30%. Is this battery pack defective? I read that at 80% or more charge, Lithium batteries lose 20% per year of capacity. I don't want to lose 20% a year. Just running the Battery Pack on the trimmer to force it down to 30% is NOT what the manual says I am supposed to do. What should I do?
you have a warranty so you shouldn’t have to worry honestly but I would definitely use it and bring it down to you know 50% and leave it alone again you have a warranty. All the years I’ve been dealing with Ego as a main product. I really haven’t had any issues even dealing with customer service. You’ll be fine and stay in touch.
@@TechMadeEzy 🌞Thank you for your prompt reply. My wife decided to use the Trimmer again yesterday and that brought the Battery Pack down to 80%. I guess I will have to drop it to 50%, as you suggest. It has been unseasonably warm here in Colchester, Vermont, so we may have more work for the Trimmer this week. I recently purchased an EGO 765 CFM Leaf Blower with a 5 Ah Battery Pack. Boy, does that blow leaves QUICK! I like the idea of a the back pack that you have demonstrated (in another video) for the Battery Pack. If my wife tires too much from holding this powerful EGO leaf blower, we may get the back pack. Thanks again for your reply and informative videos. 🤠
You guys in the USA are so lucky, Ego Australia only give us the lower models of everything you have, ch7000 charger, Nexus 3000w. power station, lb630 blower, lm2156lp all not available here, we get previous models, this coming fom an ego tools owner/ fan.

Hi Randy 1st thanks for watching 👍🏼 I spoke with EGO they’ll definitely work and they’ll definitely fit. We don’t have any access to usage stats yet but hopefully soon. I only have one myself I can’t afford to buy another one it’s just way too expensive.
Hi Mach, To my knowledge the batteries will simply extend the run time but good question honestly. I will reach out to EGO and try and get an answer. Check back with me.
@@TechMadeEzy i did not buy a unit yet. I am seeing more reviews of people having issues with the batteries which has kept me on the fence on buying the string trimmer. I am debating between ego, toro and DeWalt now
Which charger do you use? I was told to use the standard charger as it would be less taxing on the battery and to extend it's life. I've been using the standard charger as opposed to my rapid charger ever since I bought my mower that came with a 7.5 Ah. However, recently my 7.5 Ah battery died after 3 yrs of usage so I'm not sure if using the standard charger had any benefits.
Hi TH With the way EGO batteries are designed with keep cool technology and the ARC plus the fans are cooling while charging I’ve been using my 700w or sometimes my 550w fast chargers more. I never use my slow chargers and so far in 2 years my batteries are ok.
Hi John what system? If you’re talking about charging batteries on the power station I just launched two videos going over the new ego solar charging adapter I’m also working on part three when you get a chance take a look at might get off gas playlist. I hope that answers your question if not just write me back
I just love these videos you put out. You know I wish EGO would put out a 300W Nexus Escape power inverter. Now that would be soooooo useful. And I think i'm going to wait until EGO put a couple of USB-C connectors on the Nexus Portable power Station.
Just hook up a 48v inverter of your choice. I saw some do it on a YT video. They sell ego battery adapters on ebay for ebikes. They 3d print the adapters. All you need to do is hook up a positive and a negative from the ego battery to the inverter. Essentially one can make their own powerstation for cheap. BTW, I have both the ego powerstation and the 100w inverter as well. I think ego should make a simple 500w or 1000w inverter as well.

Any issues keeping these chargers and batteries in a finished garage with no AC or heater which can get pretty cold and hot at times?

50f to 80f (10c to 26c)
