FYI: The Rapid charger can/will likely draw up to 550 watts (says so right on the back). The Amazon inverter you showed maxed at 300 watts, and odds are the inverter built in your van is only 400 watts (like most vehicles). You only showed a fully charged battery glowing 'fully charged; in that setup. Drop a dead battery on it and odds are once all those fans kick in and it tries to "rapidly charge", you're going to overload the circuit. The regular charger max draw is only 210 watts, so use that if you don't have a larger inverter.
I bought mine about a year ago and I have to say the thing that is unacceptable is that it really does not operate outside. The battery terminals get corroded so make sure to apply dielectric grease. And eventually the unit stops functioning entirely if it's left out in the rain even though it has all the rain guards. For a product that reports to work both indoors and outdoors it is primarily a product for use indoors.
I was looking into this for use after a hurricane, when power outages can be as long as a few weeks even to a couple of months. With how slow the charger is with the solar, I just don't see it being competitive with a gas generator for our purpose. If I have to charge it in the car, well, I'm using gas already so I might as well just use the generator. It's much more energy efficient to use a generator directly. A shame, really, because I like EGO's other products.
Thanks for the information. I live in Austin, Texas and the freeze we had last February was terrible, disabling the city for 3 days. We had electricity but no water and the surrounding homes had neither. The city of Austin was definitely not ready for the weather, but at least I can be.
Overall good review. I keep my EGO Nexus in the garage next to the extra refrigerator in the event we lose power, which has happened. Speaking from experience, you will need a small gas generator to recharge batteries with the Rapid Charger. I agree with Clint R below.
I only have the ego leaf blower but this would be a great addition to my collection. I think it would be great in almost any situation unless your area is know for power outages longer than 1 day. if you can goto a friends place to charge it then gas is going to be the ticket. awesome for tailgate party, camping or for anything you might need a indoor power solution for. Here our power dies for 4-6 hr now and again. that would be awesome!
Yes, this unit is great for tailgating, camping or short power outages lasting a few hours. Anything longer and youll need to have a way to charge the batteries to continue using it. I like the ability to hot swap the batteries, so you can chare them elsewhere and still use a battery to run the power station.
most meaningful use of this power station is for a backup power for your modem/router and camping. i highly recommend solar charging setup because it makes sense to have a backup power that is not dependent on main power for recharging. rapid charger may reduce your battery life
There is also offbrand batteries out there now as well. There are 10 ah batteries as well. If you were using this in a commercial setting making money to cover the usage, then maybe for that setting it could work. I can see these being useful for many applications
I would caution the audience to ONLY consider those "off brand" with genuine UL-Listing (or ETL). Otherwise you pretty much invalidate your homeowners insurance in event of any fire/damage mishap. So far there are no offbrand batteries with such safety lab testing.
Jeff, I was fortunate to happen upon your excellent video. You touched upon the very questions I would ask. Until now I didn't know that EGO had a power station. I have solar on my house with a rather large LG backup battery for that system for when the sun goes down during an outage. Even so, every system has weaknesses during extended power outages. I can see that the EGO power station could be beneficial and supplement my existing system under certain scenarios. In addition, I presently own an EGO mower with a 7.5 amp battery plus fast charger and an EGO trimmer with a 2.5 amp battery with a slow charger. The like the portability, flexibility, and quiet operation. Subsequently, I will expand my EGO inventory with their Nexus Power Station, a couple more 7.5 amp batteries, and the solar charge setup. I do have reservation about EGO products in one regard....they're made in China. Thank you for your video and may God Bless.
I was very interested in this but the lack of pass through is a no-go. It’s also unfortunate that it can’t do rapid charging itself. I shouldn’t have to rely on a separate rapid charger, especially if it takes 3+ hours to charge each battery.
I've heard they don't do it because of the heat generated from doing both at once is not ideal on lithium ion and the fact you get 800 charge cycles or so.
THAT IS THE MOST AMOUNT OF INFORMATION I HAVE EVER BEEN GIVEN ON SOMETHING I HAVE NEEDED TO LEARN ABOUT, THANKYOU FOR BEGIN CLEAR ON EVERYTHING ABOUT THAT TRANSPORTABLE POWER SETUP,,NOW I KNOW WHAT TO PERCHES FOR MY SITUATION,,OUT OF 10 YOU MOST DEFINITELY GET,,12 ,,FROM AUSSIE BOB WELL DONE MATE👍😁🤗😎🌟
I know this is kind of an older video but I know I’m not the 1st one to ask this but I don’t see an answer. If you plugged in a quick charger to the Nexus and kept the batteries rotating so to speak, would the unit be able to handle it? Losing one plug but always having batteries charging would seem to be a good thing in a long outage situation.
Are you asking if you can charge a battery with your other batteries and rotate them around to always have charged batteries? If so thats not how that would work. You have to bring in power from an outside source or you are just loosing power over all.
Have you heard anything about Ego's next-generation power Station? Great review, very detailed. I enjoyed every minute of it and I learned a ton of useful information!
This is a really cool unit, but falls short in a couple of ways. In today’s world, the lack of pass thru charging is unacceptable. It needs pass thru charging, and true UPS functionality would be even better. Second, it’s cool that you can get a solar charger but that should be built in OR if I am going to pay more than $150 for a solar charging add-on, I expect greater than 180 solar capacity. Bluetti has an add on for their stations that adds up to 500w of solar charging for $200. It would be even better if you could wall charge AND solar charge at the same time. I would buy one of these if a few of these changes were made for a 2nd generation device.
Great product if you do ego stuff and have the batteries already and need something this big. They also have a great alternative for small items like laptops and cell phone charging. It hooks to one battery and is great for going to your kids outdoor all day events. EGO NEXUS ESCAPE 400-Watt Portable Power Station
i might get the ego mower specifically for this. none of the other brands have something like this. mower comes with 4 10mah batts and mower can charge all of em in an hr. this is perfect for camping and spot use backup or mobile power.
I was thinking a little 1200 Honda "put put" generator to charge batteries... during and after the woolsey fire here in Malibu we were without power for 3 weeks... My 6500 generac worked great... with that said, oodles of extension cords the noise level ghastly.. and getting fuel was difficult... im thinking of selling it.. getting a small gereator for charging batteries as well as the solar option if fuel becomes unattainable...
The only problem with the Ego is that it takes too long to charge that's why I bought the eco flow it can charge fully within two and a half hours and with the right solar panels it can charge just as fast. Plug in ac outlet it will charge 1 1/2 hour
The difference between that, and this. With this you don't only have a boat anchor when its not in use. Esp if you buy one that comes with the batteries. You cam be using these batteries for both, this unit, mower, snowblower, weed trimmer and so on. The eco flo, your not doing that. So my point, this is way better than that, for the people using ego products which is who this is more meant for. Its not meant to be a standalone, only ego product, for anyone. Although it can be, n like you mention will add to the cons.
@@todtalk3912if they come out with a 2nd gen and fix some of the issues, such as lack of pass thru, then I would agree with you. Having the flexibility of hot swap batteries AND getting to use the batteries the rest of the time for yard tools is really cool.
I USE A 1000 WATT INVERTER 4 100 AMP SOLAR PANELS AND A DEEP CYCLE BATTERY---JUST HOOK UP THE PANELS TO THE 12VOLT BATTERY WITH A CONTROLLER---THEN HOOK UP THE INVERTER TO THE BATTERY--THEN PLUG IN THE POWER STATION TO THE INVERTER--CHARGES VERY WELL ON THIS SET UP. I USE THIS TO POWER MY 30FT TRAVEL TRAILER WHEN BOONDOCKING. I ALSO BRING MY FAST CHARGER TO CHARGE THE EGO BATTERIES DURING THE DAY WHILE USING THE NEXUS. SINCE YOU CANNOT CHARGE WHILE USING THE UNIT--HAVE BOONDOCKED FOR DAYS USING THIS METHOD
This is a good product just not in a emergency use cases which is a shame because ego would've had a hit on their hands if only it acted like a fast charger and the solar charger wasn't an after thought.
It's not the best portable power station on the market, but it does allow you to use those batteries in an emergency that would otherwise just be sitting around doing nothing. I keep my EGO Nexus in the garage next to the extra refrigerator in the event we lose power, which has happened. Speaking from experience, you will need a small gas generator to recharge batteries with the Rapid Charger.
Almost the same story for me, except I had a lot of ryobi 40v batteries. These types of system are really great for a whole list of reasons, and one of them being is having multiple use for the batteries. Having multiple battery usage help economically. The Ryobi power station doesn't have solar recharge, and that's a little disappointing, but for emergency I do have places I can go and get a recharge for my batteries. Our last power outage lasted just over 5days, and I do not want to live like that again.
I like the idea of being able to power my iguanas lights during a power outage. 2 lights each under 200w. I just hate that these batteries self discharge to 25% after 2 weeks. Thats not very good feature to have for a random save the day device. I only ever have 1 battery fully charged.
Soo You actually need the capability to predict when your power is gonna be out and have it charged up before hand. 🤔🤔🤔nice. And what happens during a winter storm like in south Texas in 2021 when no one had power? You will still need a gas generator so you can charge the batteries using the rapid charger so you can use this inside the house. That’s the only benefit this power station has. And solar charging won’t work. We didn’t have sun for a week during the storm. I would probably buy it still just because I can have it inside the house. But I’m still gonna need a Honda generator of some sort
The EGO batteries will discharge down to 30% automatically after no use for 30 days. I make it a point that on the first of every month I make sure the EGO batteries are charged on the unit. (I just put it on my calendar and it reminds me.) If I use the batteries in the meantime with the EGO tools, I make sure to charge them up after use. After you use the batteries when your power goes out you will need another method to charge them such as solar panels, using a vehicle's outlet / cigarette lighter converter with a battery charger, or getting the batteries to another location (such as a friend's or other family member's house with power) to recharge them. If you can't do that, then when the batteries run out of power you'll be out of luck. Benefits of this power station, you can hot swap batteries, so if you have at least 2 batteries, you can pull one and recharge it elsewhere while still running the power station with the others. You can also run it inside (unlike a gas generator) so its great for apartments or small locations where a gas generator isn't possible, its very portable and it tells you exactly how much battery time you have left according to the amount of power you are pulling from it, you also don't have to mess with gas or trying to start a gas generator with a pull string, but you must have charged batteries.
I keep my two alternating 90% and 30% every other month to keep them fresh. Can charge them up before a storm and they sell solar adapters which I also have two for my portable panels. Swap on the fly is a huge advantage.
Does it give off noticeable heat? I am looking into this for us here in Florida after all these storms past few years. I figure after a day/overnight and still no power.. we will just evacuate. Dont want to sit in the humidty after a storm for 8 days again
Will the 10.0Ah batteries connect to the Nexus PS? Are they too big to fit or will they just not charge them? If they do fit, how long to charge them? Can the Batteries just be left on the PS unit all the time, will the unit overcharge or drain the batteries if left on?
the eco flow is the best way to go with the solar panel but make sure you buy the big eco flow it can fully charge from the wall in 2 hours and a half and with enough solar panel it can do the same
You can buy as many additional batteries as you want and they swap on the fly without power disruption. I have 2 with 8 7.5A batteries and 2 reserves, one full setup each for upstairs and downstairs. I use these for 'during storm' situations. I also have two 3500w homemade whole house units with 10kw of Lithium and 4KW of solar hooked to them for 'after storm' power.
I was considering this power station until I learned you cannot do passthrough charging with it. If I am without power, I will need/want to solar charge while using it. The ego can only provide power or get power, not both.
I'm confused about this unit. It's called a 3040 '3000 WATT Power Station.' Does it hold 3000w itself? (If you look at a Renogy 'Power Station,' it actually holds stored power within itself. No external batteries are required. Am I right when I say that this seems like this is just a very grand battery charger that doesn't work without the external - and very expensive - batteries? (I do see the beauty in being able to use the batteries with all of the extra tools, etc., that are available.) But, in and of itself, the 'Bare Tool' 3040 can't do anything?

I noticed the price of these (depending on size) and see some are close to 2,000. I'll buy a generac and have a better home power system. This little system just looks cheap to me. Maybe to run a fridge or a some lights in a black out, but what about heat pumps, or air conditioning? I'll need some sort of heat (know these power walls can't handle heat pumps) but at least I can fun fans for my wood burning insert, and small room heaters, etc. I guess if I had the Eco tools I'd consider this only for maintaining my batteries. No, I think I need something bigger and better.
To be fair, the primary price hike on that all in one kit is the $250 per battery. I've found a good $150 replacement for those EGO batteries, which is a good amount of savings. It's also too bad this generator doesn't have USB-C
I have this ego power station and alot of ego tools and love them all. I can power my furnace,tv lights with this unit. I t will run my 10,000 btu ac with no problem. I have also powered my edenpure 1500 watt heater too.
Odd, question but as you are one of the more recent and thorough reviews, is there any way to string more than one battery together per clip for extended run times? I have a lot more than four batteries, but might not be able to get to the unit right when they need to be swapped.
Good question, I don't know of a way to have more than the 4 batteries on the power station at one time for run times. Using the EGO Power + app connected by wifi I can see the battery status and estimated run time on my smart phone even when I'm not right next to the unit. As an example, based on my current load plugged into the power station, if it says I have about 4 hours left of power, I'll come back shortly before the batteries are all out of power and hot swap them (swamp them out while the unit is still powering something) with fully charged batteries and check the estimated run time again. If I can't get to the unit right when batteries need to be swapped out, I'll try and plan accordingly to switch some batteries when the power station is at 50%

Hello. I have an Ego Powerstation, but I am having trouble getting the app to connect to the device via bluetooth or wifi. I was wondering if you have tried to use the app a phone that has Android 12. Ego has successfully tested it with Android 10, but they are refusing to try 11 or 12 and I've been trying to work with their customer service for months.
Yep, depending on the battery charge, it will automatically perform a self-discharge operation after one month of storage. After this self-maintenance, the battery pack will enter sleep mode and maintain 30% of its charge capacity. If stored for a month or longer, fully recharge the battery before the next use.
A battery system like this isn't really meant to be a replacement for a gas generator. It's more for light survival applications, like communications or LED lighting where a gas generator would be overkill and wasteful.
Chaseme9860: Well, it is also for people who cannot afford a large generator & the cost of setting it up. Or for people in apartments etc... Or if your generator doesn't give power to your extra fridge or freezer in the garage, or for camping etc... Plenty of potential uses, especially for people like me, who already have 4 other EGO products & therefore have batteries & other EGO chargers.
@@jrcanuck1 First of all, this isn't a large generator. Its only rated for 2000Watts continuous for a limited amount of time. Also "Afford"? This is a $1500 generator, therefore its not cheap. I own this EGO PowerStation and I can tell you first hand, its not replacing my cheaper Honda generator. Like I said, the EGO has its place, but its not going to replace a gas generator.
Great review, I know now for sure this is not for me, I appreciated my Ecoflow products even more since it can recharge in an hour, it has pass through, it automatically turns on my pump if a power outage even when I’m not home, it has 12v outlet to run for example camping fridges which run more efficiently on 12v. It has faster solar charging, it is lighter and more compact, has more outlets, it handles 3000 cycles and still be at 80%, it makes no sense to buy this even if you own ego batteries, it is still a better deal to buy an Ecoflow or Jackery etc
We were able to stop by a friends house to charge the batteries during that time. Afterwards, I've also purchased the EGO solar adapter for the power station and a solar panel to charge the batteries. You can see the review I did about the adapter and how fast the batteries charge using solar here: ruclips.net/video/UXYu68Bm6ho/видео.html
Does anyone know how to trouble shoot when the power goes out? I use it for a greenhouse outside, every time the power last for about 10 seconds. It's fully charged, and I've tried to re set it as well.
So if you hooked up a rapid charger to it, would it drain the power station quicker than it could recharge? That way you would always have at least one full battery for an endless loop? You would lose 1 plug, but is that possible?
Update: I figured out the problem with bluetooth and wifi connectivity. I found an old Galaxy Tab S3 in my closet that has Android version 9. I was able to connect to the Ego Powerstation via wifi and bluetooth with that. After doing so, I can open up my app on my Galaxy S22 Ultra that has Android 12 and see that it is connected and see stats from the device. I just can't tell the device to connect to wifi or connect to the device via bluetooth on Android 12. The Ego Power+ app on Android only seems to work with Android 8.1 - 10. I have reported this to Ego.
Thanks for the info, when I made this video I believe I was on Android 11. I will test it with my Google Pixel 5 phone running android 12 in the future.
@@TinkerForward Do you think you could find the time to report the trouble to Ego when you do your testing? I've been going in circles with Ego support since I got my Powerstation in December. I finally have concrete evidence that the problem is with their app not working properly on Android 11 and 12. However, when Ego asked me to ship them a unit for testing, they tested with an iPhone and tried to call it a day. I reminded them that I was reporting the problem on Android. They used a Galaxy S9, which worked, but the latest update the S9 series got was Android 10. When I asked them to test with a device on Android 12, they flat out refused to do any more testing. I have another escalation with them right now after testing with my Tab S3, but I am not confident that they will listen to reason. It would help if more people report it to Ego directly. Lots of people have left poor reviews for the app on the Play Store and mention the same symptoms I've been seeing. When I brought that up to the one who did the testing with one of my replacement units, he said those are just coincidences. It has been a real struggle these last 3 months, but I'm hoping they'll do something now that I've shown that my wifi works fine if I use Android 9.
@@TinkerForward I reported my findings to Ego and they seem to have acknowledged that the problem is with the app. Here's to hoping for a fix some time in the near future.
IT IS ALWAYS WAY BETTER TO BUY EGO IN A COMBO PACKAGE. I HAVE ONE OF THESE THAT I HAVE NEVER USED YET. WITH THE SOLAR PRODUCTS. REGRET BUYING IT. TO MANY PARTS WITH TOO LITTLE ADVANTAGES. JUST BOUGHT THE ECO FLOW DELTA 2 with 220 solar panels. Much easier & pass through charging. But I have many ego products. Blower/3 snow blowers / mower.
Propane and gasoline dual fuel generator is a lot cheaper than that thing. And what if your electricity is out for 2 weeks because of ice storm you're screwed
If your power is out than the power is out to the gas station and unless you have natural gas or a large propane tank you out of power if you have one of these either get the solar option and or solar panels and a inverter then if you have other tools in this line use the charger provided with them to charge the batteries
@@douglaswindsor120 natural gas yes. 5gal gasoline tank will last for a few days. Also, siphon put of your cars gas tank and you have power for many days. This battery thing can't even last one day in winter to heat your home. Plus very expensive. My gas generator was 299.00 and can run my whole house with heat!! Beat that!
@@douglaswindsor120 My power has gone out and the homes in the next block have power, so saying the gas station would be out of power too is not true. Plus, you probably would have a lot of gas in your car that you could use, but of course don't use all of it, lol. Best option is to use propane, you can store a lot of it for a very long time.
What you clearly have not researched is the 2030 UN Sustainable Development Agenda. They plan on eliminating fossil fuels and are implementing a carbon credit system based on your fossil fuel usage. Yes, we all have a gas generator. The problem is they are being phased out and this type of system has quite a future.
@@bruced.370 what $300 generator will run your whole house plus heat? My $1,000 12kW peak gas/propane generator can’t run my entire house…everything I need, but I can’t run my central air…I have to put in window units and alternate running them. My house isn’t huge either.
these are not generators people. they do not need gasoline though. But they will not run your appliances long. maybe 12 hours with 2 batteries and the batteries are 250 each.
If you get the solar adapters, they will power the essentials for years straight. I use 2 of these in rotation with some Jackerys and homemade battleborne/rich solar inverter setups.
@@monmixer Honestly, I wouldn't use Egos to power a home. They are more for 1-2 day power outages. Think about a rack mount system with at least 1,000-2,500 Ah capacity for a house. Or a larger 2-3kWh EcoFlow or Bluetti set up with all the expansion batteries. Amazon sells those. Will Prowse channel has reviews for all the larger rack and heavy wheeled systems. I make all my systems custom just for my needs but may go to a rack system since they are the best bang for the buck.
We have used the ruclips.net/user/postUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y for probably 30 hours with our camper and it’s been great! The noise level is really only noticeable when running the AC and other appliances like the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot. It’s not huge like other ones and it has wheels so even at 90lbs, I can move it!
You can buy the power station by itself or with batteries included. I have links in the video description that take you to the listings with batteries included with the unit.
If you had power to charge the Nexus, you don't need the Nexus??? Now, if you can run a TV or refrigerator or ac unit and charge the batteries continuously on the rapid charger, then you've got something. It does that???
Great questions. I’m in the suburbs and running a noisy gas generator would be a last resort option. I needed something that will primarily operate my refrigerator and sump pump, during an outage. After weeks of research, I decided to try Pecron. They are basic solar generators but, their prices and quality is very good. I initially purchased the E1000 (1028wh) for $499 (out the door)off their website with free shipping. I tested it on my home refrigerator and fully charge, it states it can run it for 22 hours. I haven’t ordered solar panels yet (presently researching panels). After satisfying test on the E1000, I have ordered their larger E3000 (3108wh) unit. It’s scheduled to be delivered next week. The plan is to use the E3000 to power the refrigerator and sump pump……..and use the E1000 to power TV, internet/cable router and a few lights.
That was one of the best reviews I’ve ever seen . Every question I thought of you answered thanks so much ! 😊
You're welcome!

I was very interested in this but the lack of pass through is a no-go. It’s also unfortunate that it can’t do rapid charging itself. I shouldn’t have to rely on a separate rapid charger, especially if it takes 3+ hours to charge each battery.
I agree with you, having pass through power is really need and so is the ability to rapid charge.
I've heard they don't do it because of the heat generated from doing both at once is not ideal on lithium ion and the fact you get 800 charge cycles or so.

Very interesting tutorial. Seems safer than a gas generator.More efficient.
Thanks, it's nice not having to deal with gas, easy to transport the power station and much quieter than our previous gas generator.
This will not be any good to heat anything. This will not last. Go with gas.
I have the Ryobi power station and it works pretty good also. I’m also in WI (Lake Mills)
Awesome! I still have to check that power station out. Thanks for watching!

@@TinkerForwardcan you change it while you’re using it, I have an adapter for my car, thx Binni Einarsson in Maine
Excellent points, I completely agree with you.
Great product if you do ego stuff and have the batteries already and need something this big. They also have a great alternative for small items like laptops and cell phone charging. i might get the ego mower specifically for this. none of the other brands have something like this. mower comes with 4 10mah batts and mower can charge all of em in an hr. this is perfect for camping and spot use backup or mobile power.
38.09 is when the little guy popped up. BTW, I love this video. It confirms that this is a good one for me. Thank you.
Thanks for the video, I’m also in the Milwaukee area and bought one of these myself recently!
You're welcome! Always glad to hear from someone in the Milwaukee area!
The only problem with the Ego is that it takes too long to charge that's why I bought the eco flow it can charge fully within two and a half hours and with the right solar panels it can charge just as fast. Plug in ac outlet it will charge 1 1/2 hour
Perfect solution
You can charge an ecoflow generator in one hour
Pls shut up with the caps lock
This is a good product just not in a emergency use cases which is a shame because ego would've had a hit on their hands if only it acted like a fast charger and the solar charger wasn't an after thought.
It's not the best portable power station on the market, but it does allow you to use those batteries in an emergency that would otherwise just be sitting around doing nothing. I keep my EGO Nexus in the garage next to the extra refrigerator in the event we lose power, which has happened. Speaking from experience, you will need a small gas generator to recharge batteries with the Rapid Charger.
Having the solar MPPT charger available is great. When I looked at this a year ago or so it wasn’t available.

I'm interested in this but it's not cheap, nor are the batteries. But I do have a 7.5 and a 5 here. The 400w tiny Inverter looks interesting also
Almost the same story for me, except I had a lot of ryobi 40v batteries.

Right, power goes out, batteries are almost dead already. USELESS
Would you recommend this for powering 2 basement sump pumps in the even of lost power?
A truly smart design would have put USB charge ports IN EACH BATTERY for truly portable portability, and the outlets just in the main unit.
Good video , please more info about solar charge
Thanks! I've done a whole video on the solar charging capabilities that you can check out here: ruclips.net/video/UXYu68Bm6ho/видео.html
I believe the newer models do have pass-through charging now.
Does it give off noticeable heat? I am looking into this for us here in Florida after all these storms past few years. I figure after a day/overnight and still no power.. we will just evacuate. Dont want to sit in the humidty after a storm for 8 days again
Thanks Jeff! Did you say: you can't charge and use at the sa.e time?
Correct. You can't charge and use at the same time. You can only do one or the other unfortunately
Question? Do you have to have the batteries on the generator to power up the generator to use it, or do you Not need any batteries to use the unit ?
wow very good review!! answerd all my questions!!! i sub'd ya

Will the 10.0Ah batteries connect to the Nexus PS? Are they too big to fit or will they just not charge them? If they do fit, how long to charge them?
Can the Batteries just be left on the PS unit all the time, will the unit overcharge or drain the batteries if left on?
You can put any of the Ego batteries on it and you can leave them on but after 30 days of no use they will auto discharge to help battery life.
Can you charge a battery on the rapid charger while it’s plugged into the power station?
sure you can if there was no blackout
you can charge power station but you can't do no bypass power which means you can't charge and use that the same time it's either one or the other
Is that all? Sixty five hours? I'm in Michigan and at that same time, we were out for nearly 90 hours.
the eco flow is the best way to go with the solar panel but make sure you buy the big eco flow it can fully charge from the wall in 2 hours and a half and with enough solar panel it can do the same
You can buy as many additional batteries as you want and they swap on the fly without power disruption.

Will it uses the 10 amp batters
Yes just fine.

Why is it 30lbs and so huge with no built in batteries? How much does it weight with 4 batteries attached to it?

I was wondering if you have tried to use the app a phone that has Android 12. Ego has successfully tested it with Android 10, but they are refusing to try 11 or 12 and I've been trying to work with their customer service for months.

if you buy extra batteries and fully charge them, will the batteries (when dormant) hold 100% of the charge til you use them? thanks
