I LOVED Wednesday stepping forward to allow her Mother to hug her only for Morticia to air kiss her. Morticia desperately wants to hug her daughter, Wednesday knows this and was willing to let it happen even though it makes her uncomfortable. Morticia knows her daughter doesn't like physical contact so the offer of a hug was enough for her. She respected her daughters boundaries even when given permission. That moment showed how much they both love each other.
You described that dynamic perfectly! Morticia/Wednesday is my favorite relationship on the show, followed closely by Wednesday/Weems. I sure hope we can develop those bonds further on season two (yes, still holding hope that Weems will be alive somehow).

for me they are one of the few low points in the series. Where Carolyn Jones and Anjelica Houston manage, in very different ways, to convey control and supressed emotion through their performances, Zeta-Jones utterly fails in the brief. She comes across, to me at least, as flat, as if she took the direction "show no emotion" to it's illogical conclusion. Compare this to Jenna Ortega's s ability to convey most of her inner monologue with minimal facial expression.
I have nothing against Luis Guzman, to be honest, I've not seem him in much, but compared to the manic energy of John Astin or the chaotic-neutral Raul Julia, I couldn't like his Gomez,
Jenna choreographed that whole dance. I read that the actor playing Tyler had no idea she was going to do that so that surprise on his face was real.
She was all Fosse, Fosse, Fosse and Marsha Graham, Marsha Graham, Marsha Graham and Twyla, Twyla, Twyla and Michael Kidd, Michael Kidd, Michael Kidd and Madonna, Madonna, Madonna but all inside.

Wednesday hiding in the morgue drawer was possibly my favorite part of the whole series.

Wednesday Addams had a headless doll. Her name was Maria Antoinette. I never understood how funny that was, until I grew up.
I loved when Enid went off on Wednesday , because she was a really bad friend to everyone, just using people. Due to her weirdness, people think its quirky and forgive it, but it hurtful when the people are real and not just actors reading lines in their script. Good job.

Also, some sad news - Lisa Loring who played the original Wednesday Addams way back in the '70s has passed away just a few days ago.
Wow had no idea she passed,I knew that the original actor of Fester and the actress for Mortisha passed but had no idea about her that sucks R.I.P to her then.

Natalie brings me a lot of comfort, I’ve rewatched her videos so many times.
This was one of the few shows that I didn’t try to solve it I just watched for the comparison of series and movies and comics👍🏻👍🏻🤠 I did enjoy it and anticipate the next season

Fun fact; Tyler was supposed to dance with Wednesday but Jenna Ortega never told anyone she’d choreographed a dance. This was a complete surprise to everyone. Tyler’s actor was actually clueless on what to do do Tim Burton said to just look starstruck by Wednesday like any average teenage boy 🤣
“[Director Tim Burton] came to my trailer about two days before we shot it and said, ‘Hey Jenna, so I know you said you wanted to choreograph this yourself,'” said Ortega, 20, said. “He was like, ‘I know you got it, you’ve been working on it, I’m not even worried about it. I trust you.’ And I said, ‘Oh, yeah. You know, it’s all so good.'”
“I had not gone over it at all,” Ortega confessed. “I was doing cello that week, fencing that week. I just didn’t have time … Oh my God, I was kicking myself. I felt like such a fool.”

As far as I can tell, Bianca hasn't really done anything wrong, but almost every reactor thinks she did. Using her powers to get into school and away from a cult, if that's what happened, is forgivable. If her powers acted on Xavier, it wasn't intentional. Wednesday challenged HER on the first day of school and was defeated. The race had no rules. Any attitude she had toward Wednesday is turned into support after the dance.

Christina Ricci is on a whole nother level, recently. I watched the first season of Yellow Jackets and she was great, without giving it away.
Idk about reactions, it's.. Showtime, I think? Whichever ran the single new Dexter season. But I'd still recommend it just for the cast's performances, alone.

I didn't realise it was Christina Ricci until the last episode! 🤦♀️😂 I'd seen the name come up in the intro and assumed she was a producer or something 😂🤣 Completely understand now, why people didn't realise Clark Kent is Superman. Glasses and hair make a difference 😂
Oddly enough, the original actress cast as Miss Thornhill was Thora Birch. Typically, Thora threw one of her famous tantrums and pulled out before all her scenes were shot. They had to rapidly recast her, and luckily Christina Ricci was available. They were able to salvage the scenes Thora shot by using all that didn't show her face and dressing Ricci in the same wig and costume for the rest of the shots. Hence the reshoots weren't terribly onerous.
I would have loved to see Thora in the part, but Christina is excellent. I'm content.

I felt so bad for Xavier in episode 4, he was so excited to go to the dance with Wednesday. She fooled him into thinking she actually wanted to go with him 🥺 I would have gone with him for sure!

Jericho (VT) is a small community which is east-northeast of Burlington, VT. I was born south of Burlington in Middlebury. We were living between Middlebury and Burlington.

The writers did a great job confusing us making us guess constantly who it could be so it wouldn’t be so predictable. I appreciate great storytelling like that in TV Series.
This show was just... so damn fun. I mean, it's totally a teen drama but I was absolutely 100% there for it when it came out.
