@@essenceidentity me too. dan tompkins is by far my favourite vocalist. his voice is amazing. you should check out his solo works and white moth black butterfly if you want more.
Meshuggah really paved the way for these guys. And I'm saying that in the best way possible. Ten years later, I wholly recognise the entire modern metal scene is a legacy to behold. For each consecutive iteration it holds true we stand on the shoulders of giants.
i'm what you can call a gate keeper, but all that djent is making me open my armor, maybe the vocals are smooth, but the instrumental is f*ckin brutal, and well constructed. meshuggah may have paved the way, mick gordon has dispensed a carpet payload for the "doom eternal" video game OST. tesseract is damn enjoyable and i see them in motocultor festival in a little more than one month, i'm hyped.
I still remember how this blew my mind when it first aired on Scuzz TV in 2010. Have I really been a Tesseract fan for 14 years? Everything else from back then feels like a lifetime ago but this feels like yesterday.
Crazy to see how much these guys have grown in every way imaginable. 12 years ago, they were just another metal band trapped in a warehouse, now they're off to new planets.
Tesseract is one of the best math metal / groove metal bands that has come round in a while, beautiful harmony's great song progression, just the right amount of pause in the cords, seriously you can't find another band that "sounds" like these guys, as oppressed to many bands that sound like each other , these guys and Gojira need to tour together so i can die happy
what the heck. tesseract is one of the best bands i've heard in a long time. the ones who have seen them live in europe in spring will only confirm this. might not be their "best" track, but damn. wow.
I love creative music :) probably you too, that's why we are here. and guys, open your eyes, there are so many good stuff out there. life is about being open minded. peace
For the people who thing Tesseract is a reference to marvel comics, it's actually a reference to four dimensional theory. A Tesseract is like a square that exists in 4 dimensions.
Their logo is a heccing 3d projection of a tesseract, who was stupid enough to think it had to do with marvel? I literally have never heard anyone say that
this is such an amazing album. one of the best I've ever heard. btw, does anyone else get a Daryl Palumbo (Glassjaw) vibe from Daniel's singing stance in this video?
I hate breakdowns... like.... very few are actually good to me. Most of them are chuggy, repetitive, slow boring shit that kids hardcore dance to... but man... BUT MAN... THAT BREAKDOWN AT THE END!!!! That masterful piece of a riff... sure is not only one of my favorites riffs ever, but also the only breakdown I would mosh the fuck out of.
finally found the song that was on scuzz! this was the scuzz song that started playin when the adverts were finished and scuzz would come back on xD Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
aye man, a lot of the music they play on kerrang and scuzz is very very mainstream, they repeat the tracks daily like wtf.....i dont see why kerrang and scuzz cant play songs that push the boundries of standard rock music (standard being whats always on tv) though this comment does NOT suggest that mainstream music is boring, there is skill in commercial music writting, but not to the level that tesseract hold imho!!
Ehm, someone else is watching this in 2016? and loving the voice too? I know all the story and blah blah bout the harsh voice, the new clean voice, but for this album fit great.
Really looking forward to the new album with Daniel back on vocals. Hopefully no screaming this time. After listening to Altered State, I like their sound better without harsh vocals.
people dont like TesseracT simply because they are getting bigger and bigger, and for some stupid reason that means to many music fans they are not a good band at all. TesseracT are fucking brilliant,no doubt about it.
@AbandonedRustedMetal Dont hate on LP , there's a reason they've made it so far in the music industry. They put their sould and heart in what they do, both TESSERACT and LP are great bands on different levels.
@Dethsquirrel It's the emotion and atmosphere of the song. It set the stage perfectly, I think. I think I like for 2/3rds of the songs most because of the fact that it's just not balls to the wall. I love music that can manipulate emotions the way this one does.
So my demons your time has come You will find me lay here You and I both entwined How refined an encounter You ignite within my mind With one desire When it falls into place Rush of fear takes over Suddenly you succumb to impatience And surrender So my demons your time has come Well I swear we are in limited landscapes Well I swear the tide swallows me, you?re in denial
best stuff from century media imo. Though I prefer the vocals from their demo, this vocalist doesn't make it any worse. More bands like this, please, Britain!
Can't believe this video hasn't hit anywhere near a million views. The song that introduced me to such a talented group of musicians
Sadly Thats how things work mate!
Their vocalist is incredible live, he completely pulls off everything he does on the album.
Wanna see live
@@essenceidentity me too. dan tompkins is by far my favourite vocalist. his voice is amazing. you should check out his solo works and white moth black butterfly if you want more.
He's got more estrogen in his system than man sauce but sure. All hail the feminine man.
@@venom07786 listen to smile from the latest album, you would think otherwise:)
@@venom07786but then again nothing wrong with feminine men. But Dan's not very feminine 💀

Meshuggah is the most important metal band in history in my opinion
Meshuggah walked, so that Tesseract could take off into outer space.
That breakdown at the end is one of the best
8 years on, that breakdown at the end never fails to make you move
ssoooooooold myyyy diiiiivoooooorce
rest in pepperonis.
LMAO
2:52 when I saw them live last night everyone went crazy during this part. Probably one of the heaviest breakdown riffs ever written
Tesseract: Proof that metal doesn't have to be hardcore to be absolutely amazing.
I'm still getting chills like over 10 years ago
I still remember how this blew my mind when it first aired on Scuzz TV in 2010. Have I really been a Tesseract fan for 14 years? Everything else from back then feels like a lifetime ago but this feels like yesterday.

ending breakdown got me flopping in bed like i came straight out of the exorcist
hahahaha regular people think that we're possessed.... and that's true
😆😆
Tina stop thrashing!

Damn, until re watching this years later I had forgotten how much more they use to move.
unanything I didn't know what you meant at first then I had a 'woah' moment
so much groove, with textures of sound that build architectual structures in my mind. I love this band.

10 year and still a gem !!💖
Love from Bangladesh 💖
Hearing Tesseract play this song live is unbelivable!
This is really getting to me. Thanks to CenturyMedia for posting this. A special thanks for posting HD-version too.
I love creative music :) probably you too, that's why we are here.
and guys, open your eyes, there are so many good stuff out there.
life is about being open minded.
peace

Luc Angelo Finney woah bro. Are you some sort of interdimensional astrophysicist?
Dont know anyone or ever heard anything that people think the name is marvel related...
Yea .... its a geometric ...

@@BradleySevenfold That is exactly what he said.
Will forever love the breakdown at the end!
Good Job Century Media! Please keep signing more talented bands like Tesseract!
The song was good, and that Breakdown at the end is the best breakdown i've ever heard! Nice.
Fantastic Divisions, perfect Harmony, wonderful Breakdown
Love it..Love everything about it....you can definitely tell they put a lot work into this song..and it paid off!!
this song gives me shivers
it's just so amazing
still so annoyed that Fell Silent broke up
Saw them live and the BLEW MY MIND!
The technical style is refreshing and the lack of clean vocals that sound like they were sung from a giant nose is even better, Kudos.
14 years later and I still get to bathe in this gold
best band ever see you 4 november in montreal !!!!! already have my ticket !!! cant wait
THIS WAS AWESOME LIVE LAST NIGHT!
THE BEST SONG FROM THE BAND WITH NOCTURNE
***** hahahaha non sense
More nonsense!!!
***** wtf, if you don't like altered state then you're deaf
Ashe is a phenomenal singer. But I do enjoy dan with tesseract more.
feartheuchiha Dan, on One, wasn't nearly as good as Ashe on Altered State.... but Dan after he came back?Blows Ashe out of the water.
having long hair doesn't make someone a "wannabe metalhead". these guys are sick, respect them.
damn this is soo sick and singer dont even screams ! he can actually sing very well arranged
Can't wait for Polaris and maybe a new european tour because I saw them in october and it was one of the best concerts I ever been to !
oohh i just caught myself playing this song over and over again about 31864321687674 times
this is such an amazing album. one of the best I've ever heard. btw, does anyone else get a Daryl Palumbo (Glassjaw) vibe from Daniel's singing stance in this video?
Best tesseract song ever
this song is incredible for the djent groove and pure atmosphere. No one can hate on atmosphere
I love his voice, and love the drummer
tesseract is the best to listen to faded
Prithvi Jana I prefer them cranked!! ;)
First good thing ive heard out of century media in a LONG time. And that dude is playing my blue 7-string Ibanez.
I hate breakdowns... like.... very few are actually good to me. Most of them are chuggy, repetitive, slow boring shit that kids hardcore dance to... but man...

+Mosa Black Djent is a technique, not a style
+Mosa Black metalcore almost never has breakdowns. I think you mean hardcore
+Mosa Black metalcore almost never has breakdowns. I think you mean hardcore
Metalcore has tons of breakdowns it's literally a mix of Hardcore and Metal.
+Seakipz Dude have you not listened to bands like Killswitch Engage? One of Metalcores defining aspects is breakdowns and melodic choruses....read up.
Deus purinho agindo, só glória!!!!
A fresh sound straight out of Britain! Just the way we like it!. Keep it going lads!
I've had this video fav'd since TesseracT put it on youtube themselves.
How I missed this!
that breakdown broke my bones...
drummer is awesome

Soooo different than Altered State and Polaris. This band just knows how to add variety. My favorite in progressive/djent
When you discover a band through the flavour text on a legendary off of Borderlands 3 😂😅 , big up the hellwalker
This song is so beautiful
Amo esta canción.
Best Breakdown Ever

Yup! I have it on vinyl.

I know and I think One is a masterpiece, but I like their sound better without the screaming.
One - masterpiece
Altered State - double masterpiece
Polaris - not so much
@MrJay7777 I'm so glad someone else agrees! Everyone seems to love Polaris but I feel like it's their weakest album by FAR!
really digging this video. The build up to the breakdown @ 2:51 is awesome.
freaking awesome!
OMG Great Song !
i think the tempo shift late into the song is one of my all time favs, its a fucking brutal change and i cant help but midmill that shit everytime \m/
Who’s here in 2019?
osssshhh12 nah I’m here in 2025 bro
You
And now 2020
2022
musica de vrdd saludos desde mexico
me encanta tesseract lo mejor en metal progresivo
sounds like if tool, meshugga, and we came as romans got together and said, "lets start a band". i dig it

I nearly broke my brain learning how to play this song.
@kanduth mate, if you get a chance to see them live then do it!
This is just melodic death metal. It's awesome. :3
@AbandonedRustedMetal Dont hate on LP , there's a reason they've made it so far in the music industry. They put their sould and heart in what they do, both TESSERACT and LP are great bands on different levels.

the hardcore movement infects the world......
Was watching them live, they played this and I didn't know it at all. Safe to say the pit was the scariest shit I've seen
definitely enjoying this subtle take on the genre!! keep it up, disappointed there isn't a full length yet :(
listen this four times at least a day
Man these guys are good
So my demons your time has come
You will find me lay here
You and I both entwined
How refined an encounter
You ignite within my mind
With one desire
When it falls into place
Rush of fear takes over
Suddenly you succumb to impatience
And surrender
So my demons your time has come
Well I swear we are in limited landscapes
Well I swear the tide swallows me, you?re in denial
Who else is here for the breakdown at the end
Literally. Hope you haven't listened to this song in a while so it hits that much harder.
go forward
drummer is awesome!
Как это 8 лет назад? Как же быстро летит время :(

Century Media signing a GOOD band!? This is madness!
Pre-ordered the EP :P cant fucking wait! 5 years its taken them!
this song could have been 20 minutes longer and it would have been just as good ^^ keep it up!
This should have millions of reps
Reminds me a bit of The Devil Sold His Sold, for the clean vocals mostly.
best stuff from century media imo. Though I prefer the vocals from their demo, this vocalist doesn't make it any worse. More bands like this, please, Britain!
Amazing

That China is sick as fuck! Best heard in the breakdown at the end... just fuck!
