      It can’t be your friend, it IS your friend. Those who refuse to use a click because they think they’re above it always make me laugh. Most are afraid to have their imperfections revealed to them.

    Killer stuff as always. Imo, while you’re not an underrated drummer, I think people can over look you because you fill the song where it’s needed rather than attempt to be flashy and purposefully standout. That’s something in general I love you Tesseract- every part is intricate and technical yet blends together to create something that’s musical.

    • @sullysullster8217
      @sullysullster8217 Год назад

      The click gives a reference and consistency. Consistence is stability and stability gives us comfort. It takes instability out of the equation when it comes to playing live and hopefully the band can relax and settle in to the groove without the worry of tempo fluctuating. I started playing live w a click but there is a human element missing when excitement might make the band want to naturally pick up the tempo if they dont practice regularly to a click. Its not easy sticking to the click when band members rush ahead. I guess thats our job to keep them on a leash.

    that's very similar to how my in ear mix sounds live. I noticed that many drummers have the vocals very low in the mix. do you have it so low because it interferes with some of your drum sounds, or do you want to keep the ambience of the venue out of the mix? sick, tight playing as always

    • @JayTesseracT
