I love how these turned out! Just a few questions, I dont have sculpey bake and bond, but would liquid polymer clay work as well for attaching anything? My second question: What kind of blade do you use to cut your cones into quarters? Final question: Where can I find the waffle cone mold you used? Thank you so much for sharing! Cant wait to make some of these 🙂
Hi, Rachy.Im improving in polymer clay with your inspiration. Thank you very much 🥰 And can you make more tutorials like this... I wanna add them in my personal collection
If you don't have or like superglue there is also the option to put some bake and bond on the eyepin before putting it in the charm and baking. At least for me it works really nice and it secures the eyepins 👍🏻.
Hi Rachy I’m new to polymer clay and I’m finding that my clay (fimo) is sticking to my surface and acrylic roller and it makes a lot of mess I was wondering how to clean the roller and how to prevent this from happening again. I love your videos they are extremely helpful and makes everything easier so thank you xx
Some clays are also very sticky from the get go and some get really sticky fast when they get warm. It didn't work for me really because I am not patient but putting the clay in the fridge helps. Or putting the clay inbetween paper and putting something on top (like not a whole book but maybe a piece of thick cardboard or something). It draws out some oil which can make the clay stickier. I often split up the work if I have several charms. I mix the colors for all on one day, the next day I work on all charms rotating around so the clay doesn't get super warm. I hope you are having a lot of fun with your clay creations. I am very happy that I started doing polymer clay stuff because it's a really nice and relaxing hobby (or more).
Hi Rachy! I was wandering if you could do polymer clay on a budget advice as I run through it quickly and can’t afford to keep buying expensive brands such as fimo ect... Btw I love your videos! Your very talented ✨
These are adorable! I am new to polymer clay and can't wait to try these! My question, how do you prop them up to bake once you have added the ice cream and extras? You don't lay them on their side do you? thanks
Hi! I've just started polymer clay and your vids are very helpful. But how come your finger doesn;t print on the clay and it doesn't ruin the cone texture? I just hold mine a little and it prints already and removes the texture
Hi Rachel, I am really new to polymer clay so I wanted to know if I can you chalk pastels to colour polymer clay. I have seen your video where you have mixed paint to colour polymer clay but I do not want to use paint. Thankyou 😃
You can makethat kind of texture on clay by making horizontal and vertical lines on a sheet of clay and bake it and then apply some cornflour and place some raw clay on it , and then you will get that waffle kind of texture.
@@creativerachy that stinks. I bought mine on Amazon a few years ago and it came with like 15 different shaped disc's if that is any help.. lol. But then again it can be the oddball tools we use to give us the perfect look we are going for 🤣😊😊
In the video, she said she used a plate to create the texture. I know I’ve seen the disposable plates like that in the past. I wish I knew a brand to tell you but I would say head to your local stores or search online for the textured/ embossed disposable plates. Good luck!
Like mentioned, I used a plastic plate in the video because I like the texture it gives, but you can create your own waffle texture mold by rolling a sheet of clay and creating some criss-cross indents in it. Then bake it so it is hard and you can press raw clay onto it :)
I took Rachy’s advice and created my own waffle texture by rolling out a sheet of clay, pressing plastic canvas in to it to create the pattern and baking it. The baked piece becomes the mold for future projects because it’s the reverse waffle texture. Plastic canvas is the perfect pattern, extremely cheap and found near the embroidery and cross stitch section where crafts are sold. Hope you found a method that works for you!
It’s been a year, but I hope you see this. When baking, do you lay them flat or do you have a stand of some sort? I would think laying them flat would misshape them. 🤷🏼♀️ I,m new to all of this and was curious. 😂😂
She is so gentle and I appreciate that. 💛 I wish she would show the colorful ice cream colors instead of covering all ov it with swirlled clay. Kinda defeats the purpose of making colorful ice cream
Hi Rachy! I have a shop of polymerclay charms, keychains, earrings etc and in my country liquid clay or fimo liquid or liquid sculpey is not available so what else can i use? Waiting for ur answer, xx
I am struggling to find a pattern for my mini ice cream earrings that looks perfect where did you find it anybody know where I can find this kind of tiny pattern
I’m unsure of a specific shop, sorry! It’s just a regular, cheap plastic plate. I got them a long time ago from a dollar store and I’ve also got a collection from some I found at a party 😂 grab them when you find them!
As already mentioned, nail polish dissolves polymer clay and makes it stick over time. I have an experiment type video testing different glazes if you are interested :)

You can use some cornflour on the surface of your clay like shown in the video. It stops it from sticking to your tool, including your rolling pin 😄
@@creativerachy Thank you soooo much 😁🎉💞💞

Hi Rachy I'm new to your channel may I ask if does this work also on air dry clay? Thank you
Although I’m not Rachel, yes it does but you have to work very quickly with it so it doesn’t dry😀
Those ice cream cones are so cute! 🍦🍦 My 9 year old says you inspired her!! 💖💖
Could you do a Crystal tutorial plz :)
Love this!!
Love it! How did you bake then to prevent them from getting flattened?
I didn't do anything special.. I just placed them on my baking tray like normal :)
Great tutorial 💖 just wanted to ask if what size of cookie cutter did you use for this tutorial? Thank you
Nice work and impressive
I'll make too

Hi great tutorial! Just wanted to ask if how do you bake the finished ice cream with Cone with ruining the ice cream? Thank you
I don't do anything special, I just sit the charm on my baking tray :)
Thank you
How did you bake the blueberry one? Would it not drip?
Try using a extruder to make the icecream 🍦... great tutorial
My extruded doesn’t have a star shape, only a flower with rounded edges and it doesn’t have the same effect 😭

* If you don't have cornflour, you can use cornstarch, potato starch or baby powder

I have a video on how I take and edit my Instagram photos 😄
So cute 😍
Hii! Rachy can u please tell me that from where do you buy your Polymer clay?? Amazon??

Is it okay to use nail polish as a sealer?
It might work at first but the chemicals in the polish will start to break down the clay after a while at least from my personal experience 😕.
No this can make the clay go sticky and melted over time
Thank you so much!
As already mentioned, nail polish dissolves polymer clay and makes it stick over time. I have an experiment type video testing different glazes if you are interested :)
