The very first time I watched this video a few days ago The immediate thought in my head was "oh my God how does it feel to have such a big and beautiful brain?" It is a very silly and insane thought but I still stand by it. I have now made a couple dozen of my own little ice cream and gelato cones and they are so heck and cute and I didn't spend a cent to make them. I never would have thought I could make them with stuff I already had. Your tutorial for making the waffle cone mold was brilliant. An absolute game changer. And using the toothbrush for the ice cream texture helped so much! This was just such an incredible tutorial. I was legit about to spend money on molds and going to have to wait for them to come when I stumbled across this video in my googling. I am so glad I found this. Bless you for sharing this knowledge with others. It was so easy to follow and that trick with using the exacto knife handle for the tiny waffle print is just so genius. Seriously, how kind of you too share your knowledge and experience with others. I love what I have made and I'm very grateful to not have to spend money and I'm really proud of being able to have made them. Thank you!

This is a great tutorial!! Such lovely end products and watching you craft was entertaining. I have a couple questions if you don’t mind. When you say “coloring with pastels” what are you using? It doesn’t seem to be paint.
In regards to the little metal piece to make it a charm… are you putting that in the oven, or are you just poking a hole and gluing it in after baking? And are you making them yourself (I have made jewelry so I can see how you would have) or do you buy them?

can you please explain why you bake them in a foil stand vs just lying down? in what circumstances do you use foil vs not. Thank you!

Sure! :) If you lay your ice cream, one side (where it touches the baking surface) will become a bit flat. The foil stand prevents it. Another thing: if you apply liquid clay on the top of your ice cream and lay it down, the topping will run on the side. 🙂🌷

Hey, this is so cute! I have a question: is there something that we could use instead of a liquid clay? Thank you!

Hi, thank you!❤ You can use baby oil instead of liquid clay. Some people use veggie oil.. but I would not recommend yellow veggie oil (a baked item can turn a little yellowish over time). The best option is using liquid clay, but if you don't have it try baby oil 🙂

Is there a trick or technique for colouring with the pastels? When I do it the colour gets inside the waffle pattern too, not just on the edge so it doesn't look highlighted like yours

I use a natural hair brush for coloring.🖌 After barely dipping the brush into pastel I lightly wipe it on paper towel. And then apply it on my creation. As I mentioned before, try to use a very small amount of the pastel on your brush.😉
