hi Rachel, another tip on using the cookie cutters is placing cling wrap, or cellophane over the clay and then using the cutter. this makes it easier to separate the cutter from the clay and also smoothes the sides of the clay automatically. it's great! 😊
Thank you!!!!! There are so many ways I never knew about!😂❤️ Also just a tip, you can use baby oil and clay to make frosting, it works just like TLS!!😀💙
This is so amazing! I had no idea there were so many ways to make frostings! 😍😍 But from my experience if anyone wants to do the type with water, I've found that vegetable oil or coconut oil works better and makes it seem more like liquid sculpey. :3
Wow! I never noticed how many ways there are to make icing! Thank you for sharing with us :) I have to say my fave was design 9.. wait I mean 10.. I love them all
So wonderful. Thanks so much for taking the time to show us all the varieties and techniques. So specific and truly helpful, especially if one is focused on kawai charms or baked charms. True mastery.
Another method I've used a couple times is watered down paper clay and I put it in a plastic bag and cut the tip and then it just dries and if you bake the cupcake before adding the frosting you only have to bake it once. You can also color it with paint or chalk pastels
I have a Barbie set that comes with a heart-shaped waffle maker and a whipped-cream maker made specifically for Play-Doh or clay, so the whipped cream part is what I use to make frosting! The waffle maker also makes really cute charms =)
I swear this is my 3rd time watching this video so dam helpful, and useful. Great editing the video. I always love your videos and creations extremely inspirational, eye pleasing, easy, amazing and CUTE!!!!! Def going to add your tips to my creations that I hope to sell.
I'm making plastic diorama eggs and I didn't know how to do the frosting edges, but I will have to try the caulk and star tip idea. Thanks! You always have great stuff/1
OMG Rachel THANK YOU SO SO SO SO MUCH for this video!!! I love you I can't thank you enough for this!! My liquid clay bottle is empty right now, and I don't have a icing tip. So THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I LOVE YOU THANK TOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!❤️❤️❤️🙏
Si Gloria Alpizar pero la verdad es que es un engorro hacer el frosting con agua o con fimo líquido, se te pega por todas partes, yo la lio un montón :(
I think it'd be really cute if you created a polymer jumping spider lol the species themselves are already kawaii-like cute so it'd be really cool to see one made! Awesome channel btw, you're incredibly nimble and skilled when it comes to your creations! ❤️💜
If your just starting out and don't have some TLS, I found that if you mix some liquid glue with a tiny bit of paint for color, it looks a lot like frosting.
Hi! I am clay beginner and love your channel! It inspires me to make my own charms! I was just wondering if you glaze the frosting on your cupcakes or not? Thanks and btw I love your channel keep up the great work!💖
I read somewhere you can also soften the clay to a near-liquid form using oils...do you recommend that method? The one thing in the polymer clay shelf they didn't have when I bought mine was TLS or Bake and Bond, so for the moment I have to make do using other methods. I'm learning so much from your videos! Thank you! :3
Love! I'm going to try some of these soon. I've been loving your tutorials. Are you planning on going into how you glaze with the uv resin? That is one thing I'm always hoping you'll talk about. :)
Hey Rachel! This video was so helpful thank you for sharing it with us! I have a problem with my clay though. It is all very hard and when I try to soften it with baby oil or liquid clay it usually takes 15 minutes and leaves my hands sore. It would be great if you could make a video helping me out here. Of course if you don't want to you don't need to I'm just at a dead end right now. Thank you!
Hi Rachel, I would like to ask, do you put the icing on the clay after bake or before bake? Or u can put it on the baked clay and then bake it again? Umm, if I wanted to use TLS, do you think it's possible? In this case, should I put before its baked as well? "Please answer my questions, thank you very much!!!! (I think this might be a stupid question, but I really don't know)
Hi Rachel, do you always bake the cupcake before frosting with the clay? Please answer me.Thanks.Another question is not good for me to do frosting with water or with liquid Fimo, it hits me everywhere, what can I do?
hi Rachel, another tip on using the cookie cutters is placing cling wrap, or cellophane over the clay and then using the cutter. this makes it easier to separate the cutter from the clay and also smoothes the sides of the clay automatically. it's great! 😊

This is so amazing! I had no idea there were so many ways to make frostings! 😍😍

Wow thank you for making such videos, it really helps !! What can I use instead of sculpey/liquid clay?
Did you ever figure out what to use instead? I'm making a clay with baking soda and corn flour and would rather not use anything toxic.

Jimbo Cross I do have other cupcake videos that show it, but maybe I should film a simple cupcake tutorial?
For design 8, does the liquid sculpey HAVE to be translucent color? Can it be white?
Yes it can! When I made this video they didn’t have coloured liquid clays :)
THANK YOU!!¡
Hi Rachel, do you always bake the cupcake before frosting with the clay? Please answer me.Thanks.Another question is not good for me to do frosting with water or with liquid Fimo, it hits me everywhere, what can I do?

How do you keep the clay so clean?! I wash all my tools, my desk, use paper, wear gloves.... they still get dirty :(
I am a little late but wrap them in baby wipes when storing. It really helps.
