- Finally, Lockdown Freedom In Rabat Morocco! We show you around some sites and popular spots in Rabat during our first day out exploring in nearly 4 months after being quarantined in our apartment because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Rabat isn't always thought of as a popular tourist destination in Morocco, but we show some reasons why you may want to reconsider this and spend some time here!
In this video, we visit the Kasbah of the Udayas, which was built in the 12th century! We also take you through the Rabat Medina, or old city, and show you some of the souks in the local market! Just keep in mind that this is the first day after enforced isolation for the city, so several things aren't open or functioning fully yet.

Nice video ! I recommend you cross the bridge to Salé for the beautiful viewpoint you can have on the skyline looking towards Rabat and stretching from the Mohamed V mausoleum and the Hassan tower all the way to the Kasbah of Oudayas. All lit up at night it is a beautiful sight.

Actually kasdat oudaya is a fortress build by the andalusian fleeing the crusaders in spain. They were pirates they went all the to Iceland 🇮🇸 to pirate, and it was litterly like an independent country inside morocco. That dead end is a cute cafe they serve a really nice mint tea usually its open during regular times.Thank you for the nice video enjoy Morocco 🇲🇦

there are 2 stories of blue walls in the KASBAH: story 1 blue is a symbol of the Jewish community which lived in Rabat and in other cities of Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. story 2 the blue walls of these districts are made by Moors who were expelled from Andalusia (in the south of Spain now) in order to differentiate themselves, they painted their houses and their districts in blue color, this was just a little clarification enjoy your stay.

Im so glad you guys are enjoying freedom again...in Rabat not every where is save ..get away from Rabat Beach in medina ....you can travel few miles to skhirat,sable d or..etc very save...im from Rabat Agdal born and raised..than i moved to NYC for mor than 14 years...
....i recommand also a nice Restaurant in Agdal ..u can have a nice drink,diner..very chic and saved..called Les Georges..google map....have fun and stay saved..dont trust eveyone on the street ..spl now....
