Thanks for the nice compliment! It's a bummer that things are closed, but you're right, everyone's safety has to come first. And there are still lots of cool things to see from the outside!
Adding an interesting history fact about the place where you are. In the 17th century, Salé was a pirate republic led by Murat Reis , aka Jan Janszoon a dutch turned muslim & pirate . He had a son with a moroccan woman . His name was Anthony Van Salee, ( Van Salee meaning "from Salé" in dutch language) . Anthony was of mixed heritage and muslim too. Later he migrated to what would become the US. He became an original settler and prominent landholder . His lands would become New Utrecht and Gravesend neighborhoods in Brooklyn . His descendants include Jackie Kennedy , Humphrey Bogarts and Cnn Anderson Cooper . Today, there are Van Salee families in the US, litterally "from Salé" lol
I would like you to search a bit about the Arab Muslim history golden age, specially, specially the history about the Arab (Moroccan) taking over Spain’ and other part of Europe ,that will give an idea that’s is the other way around when it comes to the architecture and other civilizations, the architecture in Mohamed 5 in Rabat and all of Morocco, most of it are Moroccan . Yes we are in Africa, but North of Morocco have a great long interesting history. Try to check it out(Muslim history, including the outmanned Turkish, and the Iranian ) .

I always looked at Marrakesh and chefchaouen as my must-visits in Morocco, put I'd love to give Rabat a visit too. Still weird to see how empty most of the streets are... I really hope that the attractions will open while you're there 😊 Great job on the vlog! ❤️

Hi guys. Hope you are doing well and enjoying your time in Rabat. I was just wondering if it was a good idea to go behind challah. I do not think that it's a safe place for the people. Please be careful next time. It would have been also a good thing to tell the followers the meaning of Rabat.
Hi guys, an explanation for Rabat. Wish you a good end of evening. The name Rabat comes from الرِّبَاط (ar-ribāṭ) meaning the ribat, an Islamic base or fortification. This name is short for رِبَاط الفَتْح (ribāṭu l-fatḥ) meaning the ribat of conquest or stronghold of victory-a title the city acquired in 1170, due to its military importance. Salam
