One time my D3 A8 was dead and my only key was stuck inside the ignition...I was unable to unlock trunk which is required to jump the car since there is no positive or negative point under the hood...the unlock system won't work because the trunk lock is locked by computer...the key won't release even with emergency key release hole trigged...the car was dead on the street for 6 months. After doing some research, I was able to feed power into the front lighter, this tiny amount of power released my key and I was then able to jump the car from the trunk...
