The first time I tried this on a 2007 Honda Odyssey van, I did it wrong. I was not clicking the lock button during the beeps. I had waited until after the beeps stopped to click the lock button and that did not work. I re-watched the video and realized I needed to be clicking lock on the fob while it was beeping. So I did it again and this time it worked! In my case, even though I heard the lock at the end it did not actually lock the doors until I turned the key to off and removed the key, and then the lock feature in fact did work. Key fob programmed successfully. Thank you!
Thank you so much for explaining your experience, this are the small adjustments that we need to pay close attention. The great thing is you noticed and didn't give up on the programming itself. I'm glad you got it to work. 💯
This worked for my 2016 Honda Crv. We used 2 keys. The good [ programmed] one in the ignition and the one with the new battery [unprogrammed] in my friend's hand..she did the clicking on the unprogrammed and I turned the programmed key from the 1st to 2nd position. Thanks so much!!!! You saved me so much money. Apparently it's $160 at the dealership. 🎉❤
2013 Honda Accord Sport This worked 🎉...saved me a lot of $$$. Thank you for the step by step with the visuals. The only difference I experienced is that my car doors did not lock. They don't lock via the fob if we are in the car (not sure if a safety feature is turned on or something). I had to get out the car to lock doors with the fob. I did take a tip from another comment to put the working key in the ignition and press the not working one in your hand. Thanks for the tips!
hey bro, i found your channel today after seeing how to install a downpipe. wow bro. very detailed... idk why you have such little subscribers, you're amazing!!! you're the best n54 youtuber i ever seen. please keep the videos coming bro, i love watching them🙏🏻
You proof what I thought about the video before uploading it lol. Im actually starting to introduce different content, I believe, is interesting. The other cars you guys will see are from close family members. If I have a chance to fix or correct any issues, i just thought to upload the footage that eventually some will appreciate. Even though Im bringing other footage to the channel, the original content is still my hobby. Thank you for the support 👏 And guys, please bare with me, I started this channel as my hobby. it's just that I haven't had much time for hobbying 😭
From what I understand this method works on Honda Civics up to 2011. 2012 Honda Civic and beyond models require programing. If you looking to DIY or to program several keys, you can try this: amzn.to/4dFqEb0 But if you just need a spare key fob, I would suggest checking out your local Locksmith, they should charge around $150 give or take. If you dont have a key at all, then the price is going to be much higher. Good luck bro. Hope that helps!
Yes, you can. But that must definitely needs to be programmed with the computer to be sync to your car. Also you will need to have the key cut. There are some good reliable options on the internet that you can program yourself. But I would recommend talking to a lock smith first and program the key fob to your car, Since the cost is going to be very similar or even a slightly less. But if your going to program many keys, then its better to get your own program device. You may also get with getting the key cut at a hardware store like a home depot. They can cut some car keys, just not al of them. Hope that helps.
Worked for 2011 Honda Pilot. It programmed the key to use the buttons, but did not program the spare key to keep the vehicle started. Update: I previously installed an Amazon remote start and this allows me to put the spare key in the ignition when the vehicle is already started (from using the lock button on key) but it does not allow me to start the vehicle with the spare key from engine off. It'll work for now until I get it properly programmed
Someone else posted a comment saying that they got their's to work. He rapidly clicked the lock and unlocked button over and over and it worked. He got it to work on a 2019 HRV with a push start. Check out the comment from "eatmyshOrts" he just posted it a few days ago.
This didn’t work for me I have a 2000 Honda accord the fob isn’t working and the factory radio is in error any help with these issues would be greatly appreciated.
Sometimes, it is because the internal parts are rusty or not lubricated. Try manually closing and opening the lock a lot of times to see if it losens up.
Ah that sucks. As technology increases car manufacturers suppose to make things better and less complicated. But many things are completely the opposite. Thank you for letting me know.

Hi, Will this way you showed in video work on 04 Handa CR-V
Nice 👍. Glad it worked.
I haven’t bought a replacement key fob yet, just wondering if this technique will work on a 2012 Civc, or would it have to be older than that?

This instructions works if I change the master power window switch for honda accord 2006?
No it doesn't work. It is a simple procedure, just like this one, but the programming for the power window switch is different.
Can i use somekind of universal keyfob?

Hello. You think this will work on 2019 honda civic

You should definitely give it a try. There is a high chance it will work. 🤞
This worked for my 2017 Fit! THANK YOU!!!!
Can you do an engine bay full cleaning thanks bro I need it
For bmw n54 I like the bmw videos it’s what I got
The engine is currently out of the car, bro. I'll keep that in mind, though.

This hack should have definitely work for you. Was your battery recently replaced, disconnect or where you out of battery?

Where can you get what?
2015 Honda Accord Sport key with fob
Did it work for you?
2014 CRV this didn't work on my car.
I've also got a Honda CR-V 2014 that it didn't work on.
Did you end up finding an alternate way?
Does not work on Australian 2010 Honda civic
That's kinda odd. It should have worked for your year. Check out the pinned comment, and try it again.
Good luck!
