Watzitooya Jeagermanjensen I would agree if Oda didn't admit that Whitebeard would've raped Akainu after he killed Ace. And how he can snap tectonic plates, no matter how old he is. And how he just stood back until Squardo stabbed him. Think about it, Whitebeard could've VERY well have stood back and Thanos-snapped Marineford. Ace was the reason Whitebeard didn't rampage on the island.
Also, the man isn't called "the Strongest Man Alive" for no reason. If anything, YOU'RE underestimating him!
The Gura Gura no mi creates and manipulates vibrations. An explosive shockwave is a vibrational force one in which the Gura Gura no mi user could cancel out rendering even high yield bombs useless. But that means that The Gura Gura no mi has the potential to create on the spot without any other source one of the most powerful aspects of an explosion, the expanding shockwave bubble.
The Gura Gura no mi could in theory shatter anything solid by finding its harmonic resonance and matching it, increasing the strength of that vibration till the object itself can't contain the energy and breaks to release it.
When Sengoku says that is a fruit capable of destroying the world he is 100% right.
Imagine if WB had placed both his hands on the ground at Marineford and unleashed every ounce of his strength out into the ground as a single powerful shockwave. Once the shockwave clears the crust assuming their planet has the same layer of crust as our planet that is 3-5 miles thick from ocean bottom to around 25 miles thick on the continents. Once it passes this solid rock it reaches the mantle and then the outer core. The Mantle is filled with magma which is a semi-solid molten rock. Semi-Solid enough to allow Vibrations to pass through it easily with the inner core even thinner than that. Once that Vibrational wave hits the core and begins to bounce off, those waves will begin bouncing around the same way a loudspeaker echos in a sealed off room. That vibration would cause a cascade of waves through the liquid and semi solid layers sending these vibrations to bounce back up to the crust level. This movement in the mantle will result in things like tectonic plates spreading as mantle magma is forced through the crust at a weak point, volcanos erupting, and numerous quakes along the seafloor causing rockslides and tidal waves. Sending massive waves across the surface to crash over islands wiping smaller islands off the map.
Now imagine you live in a world were the ground is shaking, waves are racing across the sea smashing islands that they come across, the volcanos are pouring lava over the land burning villages, releasing metric tons of gas and smoke and enough ash to choke everyone for hundreds of miles. And its not just one, its not just ten it would be tens if not hundreds of volcanos pouring this out all at once. The world cools from loss of sunlight, the air on any island with the volcano or surface vent spews out toxic gas that chokes the life out of anything on the island if given enough time and of course the ash turns the water to sludge, and fills the lungs of the victims killing hundreds of thousands daily.
Wouldn't that feel like the end of the world? And that is with one massive attack, one attack focused through all those layers of rock into the vulnerable core. And that is not even presuming that we don't have an issue like The Core movie were the rotation of the outer core, inner core, and mantle are disrupted killing the planets magnetic field and allowing the planet to bake in the light of their sun as their atmosphere is blasted off by solar rays.

Rather than sheer overwhelming force, precison application of vibration and all the various things vibration can actually do.
Oh vibrations of course it makes more sense now but seaminglly a basic ability just to increase the potency of an attack it needs some intelligence

A little about earthquakes.
The biggest earthquake ever was in Chile, and it was a 9.4ish on the richter scale. It caused over 15,000 deaths and billions in damage. However, the biggest possible earthquake is estimated to be around 9.8 on the richter scale. Why it there a limit to how big, you ask? Well, let me tell you.
Think about trying to snap aa stick with your hands. You are applying stress and more specifically, putting energy into that stick. And when it snaps, the stick releases that energy. However, there is a maximum amount of energy the stick can withstand before breaking. Same with the rock within the earth, there can only be a buildup of so much energy before the rock gives away. The maximum amount of energy is calculated to create around a 9.7 earthquake when released. This means there is no natural quake possible of killing all life.
But large quakes can destroy life in large areas, if the quake hits in the right (bad) spot. For example, a 9.5 earthquake occuring in the US in Yellowstone Park, the location of one of the six known super volcanos, could cause a MASSIVE volcanic eruption and make a large portion of North America uninhabitable.
But how big would it have to be to end the world? Researchers estimate that an earthquake bigger than 11 on the richter scale has a major potential to wipe out life on earth, which will likely never happen. But you never know. I just hope I am not alive to find out.

Keep in mind that the gura gura no mi doesnt involve rubbing some stones together. It's the energy that earthquakes create that you control with the gura gura no mi: you generate the effect, not the causes. For this reason I think the gura gura no mi could create earthquakes bigger than what would naturally be possible because is nothing that has to hold the energy before it gets released.

The tremors are energy waves that have such a high concentration of energy that distorts space and light.
Gura Gura no Mi is truly, monstrous. In terms of destructive capabilities it has no equal. Its passive ability makes it even more so, which is: Bypass of Logia intangibility. Allow me to elaborate.
Fishmen Karate: An art designed to fight DF users, affects the mass of water in the opponent's body. This is why Jinbei was able to hit Luffy despite his rubber body, and this is how Jinbei in Impel Down managed to bend / push and disfigure Jailer guards without even touching them.
Quake Quake fruit follows that same principle, but on a much *MUCH greater scale*. It not only bends the water mass of the body, but the body itself and *the entire space around it*.
This is how Whitebeard managed to land two blows ( and two blows only, manga wise ) on Akainu's logia body : The first was bending the space around him, the second one was shattering at his waist.
He never touched Akainu, or any other Admiral or Logia user in the war directly with his hands
(Note: Further proof is that Jinbei also tried Fishmen Karate on Akainu when he was fleeing with Luffy, but it was ineffective on the Lava body, and he proceeded to comment and I quote " As I thought it didn't work " )
Whitebeard in the war was a shadow of his former glory. Too sick and wane to even use Observation Haki to see Squardo's bloodthirst coming (When he was healthy, he deflected attacks like those in his sleep), let alone Armament or Conqueror's Haki.
Whatever energy he had left was entirely spent on his DF.

What if the side effects of the Gura Gura no mi takes time to show? What if that is the reason Whitebeard was so sick? After using the powers of the fruit for many years the tremors had damaged his internal organs. It's probably not likely, but I just wanted to throw that theory out there.

His above ground style of tremors reminds me of the explosive force of bombs which can condense air as the shockwave travels outward. But he has far more control over how that force travels and can seemingly keep it trapped in a bubble along his limbs and weapon before releasing and directing it.

Whitebeard and his crew do a lot of questionable things that endanger Ace's life during the war. Hell Jozu tossed a massive block of ice into the direction of the base and if it wasn't for of Akainu, Ace who was still in sea prism chains would have been crushed.There was also that one time Whitebeard punches a shockwave through that giant in the direction of the scaffold where Ace was in order to destroy it. It was blocked by the three admirals but what exactly would Whitebeard do if it hit and Ace didn't survive?
raymond yongho i think the part where he quaked the scaffold was to destroy it and move ace closer to them i am pretty sure those sea stone handcuffs would not stand still by that attack if it was not interrupted.

I have to re-watch some OP episodes to be sure but in that arc, I remember when White Beard and Black Beard fought, WB's hands where turning red from BB's power counter, could that have any meaning to how he stole WB's powers later that arc ?? 🤔🤔

FLUXX840 It's very similar to Gear 2.. watch the fight with BB... He steamed and he became red like Luffy does when using Second Gear. If that's not Gear 2 I don't know what retarded fuck the creators did in that scene. Because that's definitely not related to his DF.
First off, that couldn't have been Gear Second. Watch Tekking's video about that if you don't understand how it works, but Gear Second *cannot* be used by anyone but Luffy, due to his rubber body (one that WB does not have). Second, WB's hands weren't pink due to the counter powers of BB, rather, he only turned pink and steamy after that initial little tussle was over, right when he was about to kill BB. Id wager that the only reason he was pink was because of some sort of visual cue by the animators. I'm pretty sure that scene and his pink steam was only meant to highlight how especially terrifying WB is from BB's POV. I don't remember how it goes in the manga, through, so maybe I'll try and find the pages about it.
