You are welcome. It applies as well, but with the cast iron kbs the window usually gets smaller when the weight is lighter. I find any kb under 16kg that's classic very uncomfortable and for some it's not possible to implement this grip.
I don't understand how changing the grip is going to alleviate the fact that THERE IS a cast iron ball resting on our forearm. I've tried watching dozen of videos on griping a kettebell, but it seams to me that it hurt and bruses no matter how I grip it. Some says that it should contact the bone... but now it hurts my foream AND my bone, but the pain is split.... I just don't understand why someone would use something that hurt for no reason like the kettlebell, just to have benefit on ballistic mouvements etc... I mean, the dumbbells don't hurt you at all in the first place! There is absolutely no benefit to crush your skin and muscle by resting a heavy load on it.
I suggest watching the video and if you don't understand anything from that, ask. As for pain. I've done 1,000 cleans in one session and not one single inch of pain. I've done 500 snatches in one session and not one single inch of pain. There are many of us that do not have any pain, it's just about investing time in technique and understanding.
I have the same problem when it comes to cleans. I'm doing a program now that makes use of a lot of them. I have followed these tutorials and my kettlebells have a standard grip. It's super frustrating. I have invested the time to understand and practice technique and still get the hell beat out of my forearms.
Same! I started using thick wristbands and that helped a little with the bruising. I’m going to try the grip he is suggesting because I want to go up in weight but don’t like the pain on my forearm.

First of all thank you for all the valuable information you're sharing. For hardstyle kettlebell, is the grip at the same position?

@@Cavemantraining Ok. Do you think that a painless grip is possible with square-ish shaped handles ?
@@Nospecificplan if your kettlebell design is not the way it should be, which it sounds like it is not, then no.

Can you do this with a Rogue KB horn? They’re not as wide. Please help!
Does your hand fit in?
Yes. But can’t seem to get it to lay like yours in the video.

I’m holding onto it properly, but I don’t think my forearm is used the pressure of the bell naturally laying on it
I hold it properly, and it’s still brutal
Then you may have a kettlebell that isn't right or you think you have it right but you don't
