This is probably their best “set” of the entire year. If I was there I don’t know if I would be scared because I would just be taking in the incredible scenery! Great job to whoever built it.
Absolutely beautiful. I was supposed to do a vip lights on tour during the day but the hurricane cancelled that. I would have loved to hear about how this set was built. They did an amazing job.
This has to be the most beautiful yet creepiest Haunted House ever. The atmosphere, set designs & architecture, props, & costumes. And not to mention that ambient violin music is so gorgeous being player by the Banshee. The very best nautical horror theme I have ever seen. Until i realized that this is a sequel to Dead Man's Wharf. Man what a time to be alive.
This is a BEAUTIFUL set! I hope Universal keeps this one. The fog/mist/wind/lightning keeps you at constant unrest and really makes you forget sometimes that it's a giant warehouse. One critique; the safety ushers should be given raincoats. One looked pretty cold standing in the corner.
If you mean keep for a future year, sadly they will not. But not too sad - I love that all the houses change each year! I rarely go to Howl-O-Scream Tampa anymore because it is so stale going through the same houses for years on end.

When I went through this maze, the entire attraction amazed me. Everything about it was incredible. However, I think what got me the most was the fact that they gave us the feeling of actually being outside in the rain. Windy. very frigid and cold AC, with huge fans in the ceiling to create wind......mannnn I'd walk through this haunt everyday if I could! Well done, HHN!
I loved how it felt like you were getting sprayed with the ice cold water on a fishing vessel while walking through this one. The best house by far of any HHN house I have ever been through.
This was there most WELL DONE house of the year and probably the best one they have made in a long time when it comes to set design! It was the only house there that I went through twice. Everything about this you could tell took a lot of hands, a lot of brainstorming and time consumption. Such a hard 10/10. From the realistic rain, snow, lightning, thunder, water, cold air, boats, fisherman, captains, scuba divers, bait shop, sea decor and overall the Winter atmosphere, there’s just something about the Winter Horror setting that the Halloween Horror Nights crew seems to always execute so well on compared to other houses and sets. Don’t get me wrong! The other houses with their sets are cool as well, but every time they do a Winter themed house specifically…It is always OUTSTANDING. Imagine how cool it would be if they could do Winter themed houses in December. I don’t know, I just feel like there is SO much you could do with putting Horror into Winter….
I sincerely hope they bring this house back for HHN 23. Universal has been known to bring back wildly popular houses for an2nd straight year, and for a non themed house- this one was right at the top and possibly number 1 for a lot of folks who attended last year.
The atmosphere, ambiance and music is top notch. In my humble opinion, the 'scare actors' kind of ruin it, except for the guy at the very beginning and the violinist on the ship. Seems to me with a little time and effort, those scares could be made more intense with some well placed original animatronics, or even manually operated effects.
i feel like it depends on the amount of people there when it comes to the scare actor’s energy. because i just went last night and it was packed with people as well as constant screams and excitement, so the actors had a lot of energy and excitement into their job. in this video everythijg is going pretty slow and quiet since there’s not many people, so the actors aren’t that energetic. just my guess tho

One of them jumped at me and literally said the words "Scare ye, I will" and it worked. Laughed about it afterwards though. Setwork was great and the house itself wasn't as intense as some others, which is better for me because everything was already beyond my comfort zone the moment I stepped into house #1 lol
Lol yeah. There’s literally security guards around just about every corner. Some people actually get fooled into thinking they are someone scary lmfao 🤣
I’ve never been but are those people in black shirts like fail safe people as if someone was getting too scared or someone just wanted out they would get them out?
There are emergency exits around for if someone truly does get so scared they start to ruin the experience/get violent or are in medical danger. The black shirts are security so if something does happen/someone bleeds or assaults monsters or something say, they'll be able to escort people out. They are also there to keep the line flowing and keep people going the right way, they'll redirect you if you start heading towards an exit by accident.
There’s definitely some disappointment but you get over it quickly because you don’t have time to dwell. You have to go back into character and try to scare the next person. The big scares make up for it too. One of my favorite nights in the 12 years I’ve worked in haunted houses had a group that wasn’t scared at all, and then later I scared a guy so much he leaped into his girlfriend’s arms and they both fell. It completely made up for the lack of reaction earlier in the night and also happened to be hilarious.
I feel like the actors should expect that though. No matter how scary they look or how aggressive their scare is, some won’t have a reaction and some will. Simple as that.
Loved how you decorated your space for the Halloween party! 🎃 It gave me some great ideas for our own setup. By the way, we just launched a new high output 1500W fog machine that could add a really cool effect to setups like yours. Not sure if the concept of dmw was ever to be terrifying. I think it’s nice to have at least one house a year at hhn where you can just take in the beauty of the sets and not be scared shitless.

It is September 3rd and this is your third Halloween video. Just like I wouldn't tolerate Christmas videos in July I won't tolerate Halloween videos two full months before the holiday. I am currently subscribed but will now unsubscribe so I stop getting notices about something I'm not interested in. Come mid-october when I'm starting to get interested, I may return.
