I'd like to see them do a haunted house walkthrough based on Michael Jackson's short films "Thriller" and "Ghosts".

Honestly I don't know why they didn't this year. Ashnikko's Halloweenie album is just pure spooky season, so it would fantastically with Horror Nights.

That’s the point
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes on him will be saved from Hell, John 3:16. We are all sinners, but in Gods loving mercy for us, Jesus Christ, God the Son (of the Trinity) came unto the world to be the sacrifice for all our sins on the cross. Through his death, burial, and resurrection anyone who believes on him will be saved. He loves us all and made a way out but those who reject Christ have no choice but to pay for all their sins in that horrible place of fear and pain, which is the devils plan for us that’s why there is so many religions these days he is trying to cause confusion and drag as many souls down with him. Our works cannot save us, many go to church and do good deeds but still end up in Hell because they didn’t have faith in the savior of the world. Romans 4:5 “But to him who does not work, but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness.” But so many false teachers say you must turn from all your sins to be saved, they are wolves in sheeps clothing, outwardly appearing all holy but inside filled with all types of sin, Matthew 23:27. They trample on the blood of Jesus as if it wasn’t necessary to wash away all our sins once and for all, outraging the spirit of Grace. The truth is none of us are holy, we would all burn in Hell if Jesus didn’t go through that for us. That’s why so many movies and shows use Jesus name as a curse word, for what other “god” do they do this for? They mock him because the evil spirits of the world know he’s the truth and don’t want you guys to take him seriously. Isaiah 1:18 “He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” 🙏🕊

im assuming that if you listened to the After Hours album everything about the house would make sense. however, listening to an album versus watching a memorable (almost historic) franchise like Halloween for example wouldn’t make much sense with most of the HHN crowd. risky idea but cool concept i guess

This maze got me blinded by the lights (literally) couldn't sleep! So amazing (no pun intended), yet so twisted!!
After going through the Orlando one and seeing the Hollywood house, they definitely spent more money on the Orlando house. It was sooo good!!
As a Weeknd fan, the house was unexpectedly thorough in its references, but I feel like a couple of the rooms kind of fall short, more so for the Hollywood version of the maze. I feel like a lot of the scares and horror aspects of the maze could have been taken up just one more notch. The plastic surgery girls dissecting people could have been SO freaky if that bathroom was just filled up a little more. Felt empty and not intimate. And also Abel transforming into the frog from Heartless was cool, but the frog masks and designs were way too over the top and campy to be actually frightening. I feel like Abel always took the horror elements in his music videos seriously, and it felt a bit played up in some parts here. Also what the hell was that After Hours hotel? It was never featured in any of the music videos and it felt like knockoff the shining. The ending however with the white suit guys was pretty scary.
Which is why I thought Orlando’s house was better
I've noticed that Hollywood in general has a lot more open space in its mazes, actually.
Orlando's mazes are much more claustrophobic, with more narrow passageways to wind around and traverse and everything incredibly close to you, though certain scenes or set pieces open up for dramatic effect, which I quite like.
Hollywood, I think, is the opposite. A lot of it is really spread out, including hallways (which, in Orlando, would mostly be thinner)
and only brief moments are claustrophobic like Orlando.
Weirdly enough, I think La Llorona does a pretty Orlando-y job with its layout. Might just be me, though.
Both styles have their strengths and weaknesses (I think I enjoy the sets in Hollywood's Weeknd more than Orlando's. The open space is better for that kind of stuff. Although in Horror Hotel, I think the bathroom scene would've been improved significantly if she was closer to people.)

With so many great horror movies that still haven't been given space at HHN, I guess I don't understand adding houses entirely based on a music video....? I'm sure Weekend fans are all giddy for it and find some deep meaning, but as far as Haunted Houses go, it just all looks like a random mess of concepts thrown together.

All of The Weeknd's music videos off of "After Hours" follow a plotline that's represented here in the haunted house. The Weeknd arrives in Vegas and does drugs, but takes a frog-based hallucinogen and starts losing his mind. Hollywood starts getting to him, and in his drug-induced state, he starts hallucinating. He speeds through Vegas and LA, getting in fights and getting bloodied. Fear and anger take hold of him, and he begins to stalk a woman at a rave, in the subway, underground, etc. with a knife. When he's about to kill her, she decapitates him with an axe. Later, two women obsessed with plastic surgery find his discarded head, and frankenstein him together with other bodies to make "the perfect man". It's a commentary on the hollow drug-obsessed superficiality of the entertainment industry. (The house doesn't really put everything in order, to be fair.) Def recommend checking out his music videos in order.
