As they get to the cellar room, Leatherface is getting closer to them then the chainsaw turns off on him. He tries turning it on multiple times and fails about 5 times. It turns on on the sixth try.
This makes for a great comic scene. Leatherface standing there can't get it started. He looks over at the victim on the hook and saws "Performance anxiety I guess". lmao
Actually that's irrelevant... those saws just need a carb kit which is easy to get and do. Cleaned those saws will run like new. His probably needs a 10 dollar carb kit. The old saws are very easy to get running like new again.
I have a Poulan 245 a and it runs like a top. He just didn’t know what he was doing. You can hear the saw burp and he continues to pull it (which flooded it). Also he’s pushing the manual oiler thinking it’s a primer. He’s just an idiot hahahaha

I got a chainsaw from a garage sale for $10 but it needed repair but I wanted to be leather face for Halloween so I sold things to get it, so I got it but the recoil and the string didn’t go back in so I spent 30 mins trying to fix it and I did and now to runs so good and loud
Main problem is, he Flooded the Saw, and when That happens. You have to wait about an Half an Hour to a Full Hour, before you attempt to start it again
There lucky he didn't get it started because with the frustration of that he'd really saw everyone up , I can totally see this happening too me if I was Leatherface lol.

One thing it would make the movie realistic lol. Saws do not start up on one pull unless warmed up. And they do run out of gas haha
In the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the saw starred up every time on the first pull.

I rebuild old saws. They aren't throw aways like modern saws and many modern saws can be hard to start.
