I flew to Austin on Saturday, spent the whole day creating this one. I heard a rumor that one of the filming locations was about to be destroyed/ gone forever. I made it a priority to finally make my Texas Chainsaw Massacre pilgrimage. Huge fan of the original film! I hope you enjoy my journey, this one took a lot of logistics and time, as most filming locations projects do, but THAT WIND made it the most difficult time I’ve ever had making a video. All fun tho! Thank you for always watching. I had to make sure I put a ton of LEATHERFACE matchups inside the Sawyer home and that Gas Station. Happy to present this project to the TCM fans.

I'm just thankful your hat didn't blow away too far, it would be a shame to lose that baby! :P I appreciate your "long-winded" (pun intended?) filming location videos, you are always so thorough and it's ridiculously impressive. Keep em comin! That is so awesome that restaurant has leaned into the movie like that, I know the fans have to appreciate it! And it's equally cool they let you film so much of it! Lol, your convo with grandpa!! It really is kinda crazy that a restaurant is there now... I'm just now putting that together as I'm watching this. Omg, you almost lost both your hat and your sunglasses in this vid! Someday I hope to join you on one of your filming location vids, but I have to say...... I'm glad it wasn't this one lol. 27:55 , I watched and re-watched this moment like 5 times LOL!!!! I've never been so honored or proud to be a part of your life as I am right now haha! Omg the Whataburger moment.... can't believe you got a 100% "beef" burger without me!! Oh wow, the memorial at the gas station was really cool and strangely touching. And I wasn't expecting a horror store on the inside, that is AWESOME!! LOL, the ending!! Again, so proud to be in your life

Renovated and beautiful. but that Road... that road was amazing... but now its just... poof..
i mean, we'll always have the Memories... and the movie... but damn dude.. it just hurt to see it so torn up... its funny how just a couple decades and the Earth "Reclaims" what was once there..

So sad this area is going to be changed forever in a little while after remaining mostly untouched for all those years. TCM is my favorite movie and I always dreamed of going out to the filming locations. Maybe one day I can make it to the BBQ and stay the night in one of the cottages but by then this unfortunately will have been developed. Found info on who Pickle, shown at 4:28, was. Genealogytrails says, "Pvt. J. Clarence Pickle, son of J. R. and Ellen Wells Pickle, Dallas, was born June 29, 1895, at Austin, Texas. He received his education in the Dallas High School and volunteered for service with the Marine Corps, June 1, 1918, and was assigned to Company A, 1st Battalion, 11th Regiment, which received its training at Paris Island, South Carolina, and Quantico, Virginia. He contracted Spanish influenza at Quantico, which developed into pneumonia, and in spite of medical assistance died on September 21, 1918. His company sailed for France November 2, 1918. Private Pickle possessed medal awarded him by Government for marksmanship. He gave his life in an attempt to uphold the principles of right and humanity, for which his country fought." Although, it looks like the gravestone says he died on 9/28/18, which hard to say which is correct. There's another shot in this video that shows a "Wells" gravestone nearby, so that is most likely family from his mom's side.

Attorney: “Your Honor, and ladies and gentlemen of the jury, the events of what happened that night are as follows: My client, inhumanely called Leatherface by the townspeople, is claiming self defense, as not one, but two strangers illegally trespassed onto his property and then entered his home without permission. My client, fearful for his life, defended himself. I need not remind the jury of the Texas castle doctrine and stand your ground laws. My client was forced to defend himself against the attackers using only household items that were available and on hand that resulted in two fatalities. Soon after, two more assailants showed up and also trespassed on his property without permission. My client, feeling he was now being ambushed was forced to attack and fatally wound a third man who was later found with a knife on his person and a self inflicted wound on his arm. My client at that point, was just simply trying to scare the woman off his property using house hold garden tools. My client admittedly, did try to kill Sally. But only after she illegally, and erroneously ran to and entered into my clients place of abode. where she began destroying items in his house, including ruining a perfectly good window. My client, again fearful for his person and property, was just simply trying to chase the hysterical woman out of his house and off his property. Finally, after leaving the house, she ran down the road and subsequently forced herself into my client’s father’s gas station, a place of business close to the house. The kind, old gentleman, who admitted to tying this woman up, has testified it was only for her own good. You see, my client’s father recognized this young lady’s fit of erratic hysteria for what it was, a really bad trip from these hippies consuming large quantities of hallucinogenic mushrooms they had gathered earlier from the cow pastures by the slaughterhouse. My client’s Father, the kind hearted person that he was, knowing there were no phones that were operable, and had no gas for which to take her to the hospital, generously allowed the stranded woman to sleep the rest of the night in the safety of his own house to sleep off her paranoia induced bad trip. After a few hours of sleep, she woke up, and again became hysterical, the drugs clearly not having worn off, she again became violent and destructive in his house where she began damaging his property in a fit of violent hysterics. Finally, my client was forced to chase her out of the house a second time where she ran into the road, followed by my client’s brother, who was tragically and fatally struck by a passing semi truck. My client and his unimaginable grief took out his feelings of grief against the side of the tractor trailer, where I might add no one was hurt. My client even suffered subsequent injury to his leg, which was found to be self inflicted.
So, you see your Honor, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, my client, the invalid, will be claiming incompetence, has suffered enough as a victim in this case, he was only caught up in a series of unfortunate misunderstandings. I ask that you find him innocent and exonerate him of all charges. Thank you.

If you go back to 2002 in Google Earth you can still see the dirt road and outline of where the farmhouse stood. Go further back to 1995 (when the farmhouse was still in Round Rock) and barely, barley make out the farmhouse obscured by trees. But you can clearly see the driveway that led up to the farmhouse.

Hi Tampa Jay , I'm a 60-year-old horror fan , I lived in West Hernando so like 40 years now , due to age and health problems I can't get out much anymore and watching you go to all these horror sites like the Texas chainsaw massacre site it's amazing you brought adventure and excitement back into an old horror fans heart , I love all the old ones , Vincent Price Peter Lori , Bella Lugosi and so on , kudos to you , you seem like an amazing person ...

Dude you are so lucky to have been to these places. You only have one life to live man and you did it. I love your channel and I'm a TRUE HORROR fan myself. Glad you're able to do these things while you still can. I for one am THRILLED to see these places. Me and my friends love watching videos like this. Keep up the good work bro. Next, PLEASE DO A FILMING LOCATION OF NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: THE REMAKE. Not the original, but the remake with Patricia Tallman and Tony Todd. I seriously wanna know where that house is. It had a name called M. Celeste in front of it. I just wanna know if it exists. I would seriously live there. lol Thanks man. Love your work.

According to Google Maps they have already begun construction on the site or its completed. I made it as far as the gate at the bottom of the hill a couple years ago and now wished I had gone further up to explore. AWESOME JOB!

The Poulan in the original TCM was a 245A. But the saw in TCM 2022 IS a 306A. And the Ford van that is sitting on the side of that gas station is NOT the same van in the movie. That replica is an little older model, probably a
'68, '69, or '70. It has the regular side doors, the one in the movie has a sliding side door.

The Grandparent's house or The Franklin Place is straight across the road from the Leatherface driveway in the wooded area.
Thank you for showing the water well in the movie clip. I took pictures of the "water works" when I visited in 2005. Then it was a 4x4(approximately) slab of concrete with an old 2 foot pipe sticking out of the ground. Again great video.

I'm from Seguin Texas, around 2004 they had a showing of the original and the art director Robert Burns was there signing autographs at the Texas theater. Really cool dude, he lived a block away two houses from my girlfriend's house. A week later he hung himself in his house. Apparently he had terminal cancer- kind of a creepy but fitting chapter in the annals of TCSM history

Nice job Jay. I went to all of these locations a few years ago to do a filming location video myself. I was somewhat surprised to see the old Quick Hill land still vacant, though I know its days are numbered. When I was last there a herd of cattle were occupying the land. At least we got to visit the spot before it was gone. I ate dinner at the house/restaurant. To this day it’s probably the most bizarre place I have ever had a meal.

The level of detail that was used in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Video Game 2023 was absolutely amazing. If you haven't seen how well GUN Interactive (The developers of the game) replicated the house and other set pieces from the movie in their game I suggest you check it out. I think you would really appreciate it.
