To be honest, I’d be more interested in foldable, pop-up individual buildings, that aren’t attached to the big square base tiles. A small base for each building with slots and walls that have little tabs that fit into the slotted base to hold the whole thing square.
Very smart marketing - definitely answers some questions the kickstarter trailer couldn't cover and still be a snappy trailer. I am so excited to get my hands on this and start pushing around my Rampagers and Karnivores around Crucible Majoris.
cant get enough of this channel! you lads are doing an KICKASS job at this ! and Steve . . . youve inspired me to dive into 40K ! And going in with Black Templars ! "Wreathed in Holy Fire!" lol Cheers! All the Best !
I have the original and ordered the new set. The biggest plus is that it takes up little space if you are an apartment dweller like me. Also makes the game accessible. 140 not bad for full board if terrain. Buying a full board of other stuff and painting while awesome if you can takes time and alot of money.
If nothing else, this video has convinced me that the biggest miss in the TT sets is that they only include two half-tiles. Folding the empty tiles in half to create two more is brilliant, but I worry about the additional wear that'll cause on on those joints, on a set that already has questionable long-term durability.
This is just BRILLIANT guys - the one thing holding me back from getting these was if they could actually be used competitively with GW’s terrain layouts & deployments
I bought the Upzone sets a while ago, very similar to this but my one complaint is that this makes it hard to use the cool VT neoprene objective markers. Besides that this type of Pop up terrain works well, oh and the cardboard can slide a little so just be ready for that.
it’s wonderful terrain! buddy of mine has the first set and expansion. i will probably get them. my only personal downside is, after many games played on them the board don’t lay flush on the table anymore. until you put weight on them. and while not game breaking. its just obnoxious to have to deal with. and anything less than a vehicle won’t be adding much weight to the corners 😂
The intro was like one of those video game/gaming headset ads where they get fake gamers to pretend they’re playing a match and making callouts to one another
guys it's not a review, it's an advertisement) though terrain itself can be a solution for quick and easy to store terrain. Got the first edition, not the terrain you would like to play all the time tbh
I love the terrain. But not the price.. Ttcombat entry kits in mdf are much more useful for literally less than half the price, leaving a ton of money for vivarium terrain and scratch build.. Would only recommend for people who don't have the space to store pre built terrain.
That's the target audience. They have NEVER claimed their terrain is better than plastic or mdf but lots of people travel and don't drive big SUVs/vans to haul boxes worth of terrain or maybe live in a dormitory and don't have a permanent table setup.
I bought the first set they did a while ago, and liked it enough to instantly back the new set. If this set is even easier to use and more durable than the last set (which the Titans say it is) I'm going to be over the moon.
@@NobleshieldAnd it's not portable. This terrain is for people who don't have a permanent setup. GW looks the best but not everyone has the disposable income to spend $1k on terrain for 1 table. And those plastic buildings look nice until they break from trying to haul them in cardboard boxes. This is a great product for people who want portable terrain or people who don't have a permanent 40k table such as a dormitory or apartment building
I was very interested in this product; until I began looking into reviews... Most common critics - Low Quality and OverPriced. I DO UNDERSTAND THIS IS A KICKSTARTER, but I can't justify spending hundreds of dollars on pop-up card...specifically if the quality is poor. These need to be very durable since the whole concept is easy storage and transport, at this price point I would gladly pay - providing I was sure it would last a few years at the least... ...one review said he had rips and tares after just 3 uses.
Incredibly helpful video y'all! Thanks so much for the kind words, this is something people are often curious about so this is super helpful!

I use titans terrain and I was always struggling on how to do proper competitive layouts. Thanks a lot for this video!!!

Awesome video, awesome terrain 🙌🏼 extra time to paint up the minis 🥳
Cracking demonstration and love the collaboration between the channels

The only thing that put me off getting this terrain was I was not sure how much it would cost to ship to the UK

Another great video gents! Keep up the great work.
Very cool, ima bit worried the focus is on how it looks and no in how afordable/durable is
God i love you guyz, from one Stephen B to another (nohomo)! I want these bad, great job mates

This was really useful , thank you
Thank you
I would just play those containers as breachable, that’s prob the only obstructive one I see that changes gameplay maybe too much depending on the map

we've glued some pennies under the corners. solved the problem (for the set my flgs played with for a bit)

It wears out super fast at best.
Yeah, found this interesting but really should be labelled an advert. All about selling the benefits. Said nothing about any drawbacks

Nice presentation. But 140$ for pop-ups…nope hard pass. Sticking with my neoprene and selfmade mdf terrain.
That's the biggest thing, like you can spend $200 and get actual MDF terrain, not paper pop-ups.

This terrain is OP, please nerf, GW can't compete
