Hello Yeofamily, I want to congratulate you both on the birth of your beautiful son Henry. I just found your channel yesterday, and love everything you are sharing with all of us about your beautiful family. I can't tell you how long I have dreamt of having a piece of property of our own right there in beautiful Tennessee. My father bought his 5-acre piece of property in midland Tennessee in 1998 and it was always my dream to move from the desert of California and someday buy the 5 acres next door to his property, but it was never to be. Life got in our way and we lost both our eldest son and my father in 2007 (April & September). Those two events started us on a journey, where that will lead I am not sure. Before Covid hit the world I could have told you, but since then we are still searching. We did leave the desert and found our way to Denver for a few years, and now we are in central eastern Ohio and have decided to finally put our plans into action, but on a smaller scale as we are both over 60 now and there are a lot of things we cannot do ourselves and our earlier plans of having our three boys and their families with us on our journey did not work themselves out. Nice place! we purchased 10 acres and it hasn't been easy but, like you said we're moving forward as well little by little. Being on the land is definitely relaxing. And with the work that comes with it it is worth it! We're documenting life on the farm as well! Keep focused and live your life to the fullest!

I'm so proud of you moving out of the city and all the progress you have made! Now you are raising a baby! He will have a wonderful childhood with his grandparents next door! I was born and raised in Michigan and went through college there. When I graduated college we came straight to Texas where we had a home and i had a job waiting for me. Been here ever since, retired now.

We started our little farm last year. We left our home country, moved to Portugal and found our forever home. It's slow going because we're older and don't have much help and we're not rich, but we're glad we did it. Food prices are going up here too. A bad sign.

So much progress! This was fun to watch. I am 72 and in the process of moving from one homestead to another. My daughter and family have been "clamping" for 3 plus years in the new property. I come and go. I am there a lot more than the first ranch. I have started teaching again after 7 years of being retired. Just a few days for the year but I seem to be at school a lot. My places are 6 1/2 hours apart.

What a fun video! It was great seeing the dates on various sections as the yeostead progressed. Most of all, I really enjoy your family. You all seem like kind, intelligent and considerate people. Little Henry is blessed to be surrounded by so much love. Looking forward to a wonderful 2023 on the yeostead.

In the future, maybe you can combine the making-biochar-day with your butchering day, so you can heat your water for free, and in the end use it to activate the charcoal. You can still chip the thinner branches, and use the thick wood for biochar.

Oh my goodness, it was so wonderful to watch the transformation! I remember you walking around your acreage when you first bought it dreaming about adding acres. How great is it that your parents came and bought those acres to add to the homestead! And then to have NanaJana come to help. I'm so excited to see what your future brings!
