- Wow, what a year it has been on our farm. I hope yours has been as wonderful and adventurous as ours. We accomplished so much on our homestead this year and I'm honored to be able to share our experience with all of you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all your love and support. We will see you in 2024!

Reminds me of my husband and I 47 years ago. We raised our two children on our 60 acre farm. We had pigs, cows, chickens, duck, rabbits, and raised German Shepherd and Shih-Tzu's. It's been a great life. The best place to raise a family. It's tough at times, with many heart aches and many joys. Bless you both on this endeavor.
You and your wife are great and worthy of me to learn from. Is your current garden still okay?
We're did you farm.
On your tomatoes save the skins and all the seeds. Dehydrated them and then grind into powder. When you need tomato paste just one tablespoon of powder to a few drops of water and poof you have paste.
Although the work is never ending, the satisfaction of working on your own land , and growing your own food is amazing! Love to watch your progress, Thank you for sharing ! Happy New Year 😊

This video brought tears to my eyes. I found y’all when you just began and was thrilled. I was bummed (but understood) when you didn’t post videos as I truly Love your content, plus y’all are just too cute, especially Rosy! I’m so proud of you guys! Don’t be surprised if one day you find me at the back corner of your property living in a tiny house. Actually- I’d love to buy property near where you guys are. 2024 is a big year for us as well… our daughter (only child) graduates HS in June.
We moved to our home in 2014- planned to explore other states (other than MI and FL) to move to after our girl graduates. What we didn’t expect is she would fall in love before graduating HS.
She has what seems to be a very kind hearted and good soulmate now. We (husband and I) are growing to love him too. He will be jining the marines next fall, he comes from a family that has served and served well. He won’t know until 6 wks prior whether he’s stationed in Cali or SC.
Our daughter has had her eyes on SC (Clemson) for years now. I’ve put the ‘let’s buy land and put several tiny homes on the land’ bug in my husband’s ear several times- I’m even trying to talk our neighbors into doing it with us.
We shall see. I think we will let the first 1/2 of ‘24 play out w/o making any solid plans, let our daughter soak up being a ‘kid’ for these last few months, then we’ll hit the drawing board and make our plans.
We have old neighbors (good friends) that live in Bardstown, KY. They helped raise our baby girl (age 0-4y/ o) back when my husband was finishing his degree in Chicago and I was working every hour I could to pay the mortgage on our ‘homestead’. … we lived on a 1/2 acre and the name of our rd was Homestead ct.
seems I know SOOO many friends, family, acquaintances that have big changes coming in 24. It’s going to be a pivotal year for many, no doubt.

Hello, Zach. Greetings from Arkansas. I recently came across your videos, and I am playing catchup. In doing so, I believe I may have found a problem with your chick feed. My calculations for protein are much lower than your 30%. I figure the protein is closer to 16%. If so, this would be catastrophic with young chicks; and, especially so with the finicky Cornish Cross birds. I suggest you double check your calculations. If you still get 30% protein, have someone with feed ration calculations experience look at your numbers. Your County Extension Office would probably be the quickest and easiest place to get help. The ability to review the year is probably an amazing thing considering what you have decided under take becoming a RUclipsr and farmer nearly simultaneously. You have learnt so much over the last year. I can remember when you had only a few subscribers. I lost my original RUclips account when I retired in June. And it took me a couple of months to build back up all the channels I used to love. I couldn't find some of them, then a couple of months later up your channel popped in my feed. I was pretty happy. How delightful to see a young couple going back to the old fashioned family farm...with some modern conveniences lol...not always easy, but very rewarding at times. Healthy living, out of the rat race, cleaner eating, communing and arguing with Ma Nature. I grew up on a farm in Canada, I know how hard you work. If you left the grass as it after cows grazed, the grass will have more growth than cutting. Happy New year.
We don't mow the grass down behind them, Just the weeds. However once we reached the end of the year we mowed the fields down low so the cool grasses could outcompete the weeds come spring time.

GOD bless you guys I grow in Uruguay we export a lot of Angus We have a very good pasture where the Angus cows are raised and also a lot of Clover which is good for the dairy farms.
Every vacation from the school I went to my uncles homes in the Country side also all of my uncles are Almost all my uncles worked for the Railway and were station masters and lived in that same place and for me it was quite an adventure to play in the train cars that were not working or waiting to be used, so I grew up happy, the countryside always fascinated me. It made us happy. The uncles had their farms behind the train station with animals such as cows, piglets, turkeys, chickens, horses and even ostriches, and when we grow up in the countryside we grow up healthy and happy.GOD bless you always Guys ... I'm a Musician Composer in NY and NJ but I use to living in Houston TX were one of my 2 boys born,,,,I love the Country Side I mean it GOD is good always!!!

WOW! Reminds me of my Uncle Frankie Phillips' farm that he had in the 1950's thru the 1980's. He & his wife Nellie & her brother C W Potter did everything of course & we always enjoyed our visits with them & even helped out too. The farm was located on 100 acres in Statum, Georgia. They also had two fish ponds. I miss everything about what we did & I miss them most of all. May God Bless you both & your impending marriage!
